Cat Sitters in River Forest, IL

This was Mia's second time housesitting for us and it went as perfectly as the first time. Mia is fantastic and took such good care of our dogs. They loved their long, off-leash hikes and plentiful cuddles. I swear they are all sad that Mia has left.

Shannon was perfect for a long weekend sit with my dog Lou. Great communication before and during the sit and she was flexible when my departure plans changed sort of last minute. Lou seemed happy and well cared for when I got home :)

5stars for Sylvia! I didn’t actually meet her as she came after I left and departed before I came home. My pup seemed happy when I returned home and the house was clean. Thank you, Sylvia!

I can highly recommend Adi ... the first thing on meeting him is that you know he is a responsible person. By the end of sit, this was confirmed. You will not regret it! My dogs miss him and his long walks !!!

Anastasia stayed with Brownie for over 5 weeks, by far the longest time we’ve been away. She was fantastic. She was reliable, extremely neat and clean, and took great care of Brownie. When a strong storm was coming the direction of the house, she communicated with us effectively about what needed to be moved inside, and did so with no complaints. She notified us with photos when packages were delivered. I have no hesitation recommending Anastasia to take care of your home and pets!

Matt did an amazing job. He left our house cleaner than expected and even bought us a plant and new flag for our flag pole. He was even able to meet us before the sit, which helped put our minds at ease.

Wendy was a superb cat/housesitter. She was a reliable and calming presence for our 2 senior kitties. She took good care of our house and plants. We would welcome her back any time!

Karen did an excellent job house sitting. She sent pictures of the dogs doing their usual things. The dogs were tired out and happy when I got back home. She left the house clean and tidy, too.

Kate and Dimitry were top notch ! They took excellent care of our 3 dogs - that’s right - 3. They sent adorable photos and informative notes regularly, as we had requested. They walked and loved our pups above and beyond. Dimitry and Kate left our home very clean. They even let us know if anything seemed awry, although luckily nothing serious came up but they were completely communicative. We would have them back in a hot second. 

What a lovely, happy, friendly girl Serra is. I felt completely relaxed about leaving her with Millie who loved her too. She gave regular updates on Millie while we were away and left the house spotless. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

He lived literally ONE mile away from me. This made it easy to meet in advance of the sit and go over details. During this process, he told me he would have to leave soon. This gave me the impression it was a lower priority for him. Being 1 mile away, however brought up some things I hadn't experienced with sitters from out of town. He wanted to know if it was ok to have friends over to my apt. My cat is very shy and timid around strangers and I told him no. He wanted to cook in my kitchen. It was left very messy. 3 cupboard doors left open, food stains on the stove, counter and fridge. Pots, pans and utensils, he used were not put away. For a person who lives one mile away, these are both things I would have thought could have just as easily been done in his own space. Why did he need to use mine and leave it in this condition? He didn't clean out the cat brush, not sure if this was to prove he had brushed my cat. He left the litter scoop IN the litter box. An amateur move, this would make many cats NOT use the litter box. In the past my cat has stopped using the litter box for similar reasons. She is older and relies on steps to climb onto furniture to sit with me or to sleep with me. Cats, creatures of habit, are upset with changes and one of her steps was moved. She's old, the equivalent of a 90 yr old grandma who depends on these things being there for her in the same place. Without telling me he locked the chain on my front door from inside the apt. So I was unable to enter my apt from the front door. After a long trip home, after getting to my front door I discovered, I had to use the back door. Had he just mentioned that in advance it would have been nice. I left my keys in a lockbox and the lockbox was not returned to inside the apt like I asked. The management company has asked us NOT to leave those out. My internet device was left plugged in, I had asked in person and in writing, it be unplugged when not in use. I had asked that bedding not be removed from my bed, I prefer to do that myself as the bed frame is susceptible to easily being damaged. The bedding was left in a pile on the floor with a damp towel at the bottom of that pile. Personally I was taught, if you use something belonging to someone else, including their personal space, to return it to the same or better condition you found it. In my opinion, this was not done for my space and my things. Petcare felt to me, as if it was less than the top priority and that Andy is not very experienced with pet care. Overall, I was unhappy with Andy's care of my pet and my space.

Jennifer spent a short week with our two dogs, she was reliable and very tidy. She sent us pictures. She was very responsible with both dogs. Communication was easy. Thanks!
