What an amazing sit, in beautiful location, with beautiful pets and a beautiful family! We felt at ease the minute we arrived, and Miralia and her family welcomed us with open arms. Eclair was great, with a fun personality and such a good listener on her daily walks (made us take a few detours to show us around lol). My daughter enjoyed playing with her in the yard and walking her around town. Pan was a bit shy at first but finally came around and ended up being so sweet and loving. Their home is beautiful, filled with art and plants. Their garden is breath taking with outstanding views of Lac Annecy and a bountiful of fruits , vegetables and flowers. We felt almost no need to explore further, it was just such a peaceful stay. Miralia and her family made everything quite easy, and had great suggestions on the area. We will miss the pets and the beautiful views. We highly recommend this sit.
Casa de Polito was an incredible stay - Tom and Sarah were wonderful hosts who left us with an incredibly detailed (yet flexible) guide on their home, pets, and the area. Their place is absolutely gorgeous, with views for miles from the back porch (which were enjoyed on their single- and double-swings!) Internet was fast and consistent the entire time, and the fireplace was very welcome and very used all throughout our Christmas/New Year's stay =) George, Floyd, Bruce and Frida were such a fun bunch - George and Floyd enjoyed nothing more than playing with each other (watching them bounce all over each other never lost its appeal), and Bruce was so well behaved and it was so entertaining tossing him all of the different toys he'd bring us to play. Frida very much did her own thing, but would always greet us with a cute meow in passing. And feeding chickens and collecting fresh eggs was a blast! One of the most pleasant surprises was how well all of the animals got along with our cat (although we didn't try to mingle him with the chickens =D) - everyone felt right at home! We can't emphasize strongly enough that if you get the chance to come and sit for the Politos, you absolutely should. Valley Center is beautiful with any kind of shops you may need, but we felt like it was almost a waste to wander off of Tom and Sarah's incredible property. Given the opportunity, we would jump at the chance to come back!
