Dixie is a delightful dog and such good company. Jill and Michael gave us an excellent orientation to Dixie’s requirements, their comfortable home, and area. The neighbourhood is lovely to walk in, and Dixie knows all the best routes. The communication was excellent, and we enjoyed our time with Dixie.

I really loved this petsit from start to finish. I knew from the initial message from Beth that this would be both easy and enjoyable. Her messages, like her are always polite, caring and informative. I was given all the information and details in a timely manner and then this was followed with a detailed 'welcome guide' which has everything you need to know about the house and dogs.

The house itself is beautiful and stylishly decorated. Its spacious and has areas to relax, areas to work and to play. I'm not going to go into too much detail but its extremely comfortable and has everything you would need, including a garden barbeque.

The location for me was fine. The neighbourhood is quiet. There is a sports facility, pool and gym, that I'm sure are good judging by the neighbourhood but I didnt have a chance to visit. I'm not sure about public transportation in the area as it is a bit out from the city, so if you have a car then its perfect. It seems like a nice neighbourhood to walk the dogs and there are different green areas very closeby for them to play.

The pet parents are amazing. 2 of the dogs were rescued so I have a lot of admiration and respect for anyone who does that. They were very welcoming and made sure that I felt comfortable right from the off. While Beth is extremely nice, I'm guessing she can be strict :-) because those dogs behave!

So yeah onto the best part, the dogs :-) Just perfect. They look great, obviously well looked after. They smell great too :-) They are extremely friendly but almost in a controlled manner, not jumping on top of you, but at the same time they love a cuddle and a bit of wrestling :-) They will follow you around the house but if you chill on the sofa, or have work to do, they sit closeby and watch. No barking! They respond very well to commands. Sit immediately when told. Wait for their food.... If anyone is worried about taking three dogs for a walk, its not a problem. They are so well behaved. No pulling on the lead....and when you arrive at the toilet area, its done, no hanging about :-) And they only need to go morning and night time which is very impressive. They are very chilled off the lead. Happy to run around and play with toys. Again respond when you call them and sit before you give them a treat. When time to go back to the house all sat and waited for me to put the leads back on.

I could write 50 pages on a 1 night stay but...just to mention the dogs individually. Luna is the sensible one. Beautiful eyes :-) Loves affection like the others but will give you your space. Was part of a facelicking wake up team, which was led by Nova!
This guy has a lot of energy but again in a good way. Loves to lick :-) Such a playful and cute dog. And then Finley, I dont want to say my favourite, but yeah after an initial shy period of about 1 hour, he was next to me throughout my stay. For a dog that was recently rescued, his behaviour is impressive. Happy to chill in his own room, but loves a cuddle and LOVES belly rubs. He was actually the best to walk for me on the lead and just a perfect dog. Sat at my feet when I had some online work to finish.

So yeah overall a great experience. The only downside was that it was so short. I cant recommend it highly enough for anyone who loves dogs. Again it was a pleasure to sit for amazing people who have done an amazing job with rescue pups. I would love to do it again if I'm available.

We loved sitting for Julia! Her dog Jake is the biggest loveliest sweetheart and so easy and rewarding to take care of. The horses Cocoa and Mabel were also very easy and lovely and quickly got to know that we always came with a carrot so would come to say hi each time we came to the field. Julia communicated super well and was very nice and easygoing. The house and garden are lovely and we had such a relaxing and wonderful time. We would love to sit for Julia again!
