It was such a joy staying in Norma's beautiful home! From the very beginning, we felt incredibly supported and taken care of with the detailed instructions that were left (she even left post-it notes on the doors and tables to give us quick reminders for how to do certain tasks so that we wouldn't have to flip through the welcome guide to find answers to our questions!). She even was thoughtful enough to stock up on grocery essentials that she left for us to use, since she knew we were coming in late! The home and garden are so beautifully decorated and clearly well-loved, and getting to stay there and help maintain them truly felt like a reward, rather than a chore. Spending time with Gemma was an absolute delight, as well. She is one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet - prepare to be groomed like a kitten every time you sit down next to her! - and from the moment we arrived and heard her come meowing down the hall to greet us, we knew that we were about to make a new best friend. She was so well-behaved, and never tried to go anywhere she wasn't supposed to go or escape when we opened the doors. We found out halfway through the trip that she loves to lie on your chest when you're lying down and receive pets, which we were all too happy to give her :) Overall, Norma's house was a joy to care for and she was an incredibly communicative and thoughtful host. We would love the chance to housesit for her again, if the opportunity every arises!
