Giselle
My husband and I had a fantastic time looking after Giselle and Mark's dog DJ in the beautiful countryside of Umbria. Giselle and Mark made us feel right at home - we arrived the afternoon before our house sit started and enjoyed an evening with them in Montefalco. DJ is an absolute love - he stole my heart. He is one of the happiest dogs I've ever met and he was a joy to care for. He loves playing with his toys, especially the big red squeaky toy, and he loves zipping around the yard chasing things. He's part terrier so he's unlikely to bring back any toys you throw, but that's part of the fun of it. Watching him have so much fun was hilarious.
Giselle and Mark's home is lovely. It is situated in the countryside directly betweem Trevi and Montefalco. The scenery here is gorgeous so bring your camera! The area is great for taking DJ on walks because it is so peaceful and beautiful. Their house had everything we needed for our 2-week stay, including a small pool that was heavenly during the hot August nights. They also have a garden so fresh vegetables were abundant. We really enjoyed taking care of the plants and flowers in their yard, and watching the sunsets from their balcony.
The location of their home is ideal for visiting nearby Umbrian gems like Trevi, Montefalco, Bevagna, Spoleto and Spello. We highly recommend pet sitting for DJ and we would love to look after him in the future!

We had an absolutely lovely week looking after Miley. She is a gorgeous, companionable dog, very relaxed and friendly and she loves a walk and a cuddle in the evening. Lynne and Steve were very welcoming to us and easy to communicate with. They have a spacious, modern and immaculately clean home which is easy to maintain. They are in a peaceful area, but close to the lake, beaches and nice walks. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed your area and looking after Miley.

Henry
We looked after Henry and Maggie's place for 2 weeks with a friend of mine and it was a magical experience. Their home is beautifully renovated while keeping an authentic vibe and that terasse! No words to describe the view:) This was my first housesitting experience through this platform and it all went smoothly. Henry and Maggie was welcoming, flexible, easy going and available if we needed anything or had any questions. I am actually sorry we didn't meet in person.

Mila and Pop are really cute and easy to deal with. I was surprised how welcoming they were as well from the moment we arrived. They were not afraid of us at all. Built a special bond with Pop, she loved joining me while I was working:)

Horta is a charming village, which otherwise I would have probably never visited. It is small and rural, but we could use the car so that gave us a lot of flexibility. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful! Driving on those tiny old town roads was a real challenge and also fun after a while :D

A few things to keep in mind, this part of Spain gets really hot in the summer, so does inside. There is aircon upstairs and leaving windows open during the night made it manageable, plus had a few windy, rainy nights too (just so you know what to expect). Also, I wasn't used to having the cats (and obviously their hair :D) in the kitchen too, so it needed some adjustment from my side, like cleaning the table more regularly (again, if you are not used to this, just to know what to expect).

It was a very authentic experience and thank you so much for everything, would love to return:)

Staying in Lily’s beautiful house with her 2 dogs, Teo and Kirie and cat Loki was an absolute dream. The big house with surrounding fields and woods was the perfect place to relax and take in all the beauty that Maine has to offer. The dogs were well behaved and super friendly that instantly made you feel at home. Walking them around the fields off leash didn’t feel like a chore at all with all the beautiful wild flowers and little stream behind the house. I couldn’t recommend taking on Lily’s home to house /pet sit if your looking to experience all Maine has to offer.

We loved hanging out with Bear.
He is such a sweet guy, very well trained and loves snuggles.
Emily and George’s home is beautiful with a big backyard to play with Bear.
We highly recommend this sit and would love to stay again if we are back in Nashville.

These two boys are such adorable brothers. They rely on each other for play time and stay together for everything. But they did want our attention, cuddles and approval, too! (Fortunately). Well behaved, sweet dispositions and quiet dogs. And their parents were so welcoming that we felt at home immediately.
