If Emily and Pete have shown an interest in house and pet sitting for you, you are extremely lucky. When they arrived, as soon as we opened the door they both sat down on the floor so they could be on the same level as our dogs, so the dogs could greet them--such a confident, welcoming start! One of our dogs is a rescue dog, quite anxious with newcomers, but not with Emily and Pete. I knew from that first moment we'd made an excellent choice. They'd both clearly read the house sitters guide carefully before they arrived, so showing them what was needed was easy and good fun. Daisy in particular was already asking them to throw her ball! It made leaving much easier. While we were away, we'd agreed that Emily could text us with any questions, and that if we asked, she would send 'pup dates'. She only had to contact us once, and only to double check a small point. Her 'pup dates' were lovely--she even included a photo on occasion! When we returned the dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly delighted to have been with them. I was especially impressed with how relaxed Molly seemed--she's the more anxious dog, and she also has epilepsy so they had to give her regular medication. The house was in beautiful condition--Pete even managed to locate the fuse box (we'd forgotten to point that out) and fixed a fuse at one point. They knew they were welcome to any food and drink during their stay, but if they did use anything, we found they'd replaced it with something equivalent--or sometimes, better! Emily had kept a daily diary about how the dogs were and what they'd been up to--such a thoughtful touch! You really couldn't find a more trustworthy, dependable, delightful couple anywhere to look after your home and your pets.
I couldn't praise Clare and Noel more. They were utterly kind and I think Boodie loved every minute she spent with them. We got back to a spotless house and had a photo each day showing a happy pet. Really recommend,
