Charly and Nelly are adorable, their home is wonderful and Edith is a very kind and generous host. Edith welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco and a delicious home cooked Italian meal, then helped us get oriented, providing lots of tips on what to see in the area. She made us feel so welcome in her bright, spacious and comfortable home. The views are incredible from every room, even the bathroom! Edith invited us to arrive a day early and to spend a day together after her trip, which was lovely. We had dinner waiting for her when she returned from her trip and then we had one more relaxed day in town (she encouraged us to go out and continue sightseeing) and a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. The town is wonderful, with the historic medieval center plus all the shops you need, walks around the lake, views of the Tuscan and Umbrian hills, etc. And it is well connected by transit and easy to drive around. Charly and Nelly are very timid but would come to us when they were ready for some affection. Nelly is far more frightened of people but she did come for cuddles and a brushing a few times. They are so lucky to have such a huge terrace so that they can come and go as they please, so they never seem to get bored. We loved sitting on the terrace with them to watch the sunrise or sunset. We had a fabulous week with them and hope to return another time. Thank you Edith for your kind hospitality!
Caroline and Jaimie were delightful, communicative and fun hosts. Charlie and Dublin were a delight to look after
I was so grateful to Karin and Brian for letting me take care of their gorgeous dog in their beautiful neighborhood, adjacent to a golf course. The most generous of hosts, truly. Their yard has an incredible hot tub and garden, and they warmly emphasized to not stress and have fun. I also deeply appreciated how Karin and Brian let me and my sister stay the night before the sit began to give us a house tour and get ourselves situated. Beau is definitely a character -at times, patience is required to coax/tempt him to eat and/or come back inside from the patio. Additionally, I will recommend sitters to download google maps for this area because signal around this neighborhood is low (at least for Verizon) and unreliable. All in all, this was a great sit!
It was lovely to be back looking out for Monti, Milo & Maddy.. The house is beautifully situated for lots of walks & stunning views. Helen is so kind & approachable; the arrangements went smoothly & daily updates/photos were acknowledged straight away. I'm already looking forward to the next one (as well as spotting them on their walks in between) 🥰
This was a super lovely house and Polly is an incredibly well behaved doggo and was lots of fun to walk with.
What a wonderful and relaxing housesit. We were made to feel at home straight away Judith & Tim are an amazing couple with a lifetime of fabulous experience’s with beautiful family photos around the home. Judith had prepared a lovely meal and we got to know each other a little better, and learn the animals routine which was straight forward and a detailed information pack was given with all the info we needed. Well !! the animals, what a gorgeous bunch. Homer is a gentle soul that likes a run, there are lots of nice walks from the house. Bibble is the softest cat I’ve ever known. Their both a pair of cuddle monsters, we loved settling down in the evening with them, we certainly got our cuddle fix. The goats Valerie and Cuckoo are so sweet they loved being stroked and we enjoyed watching them on the see saw We enjoyed fresh eggs from the chickens and it was great to get up close and personal with the sheep. Thank you both for a wonderful experience in your beautiful homes and small holding, we will always have fond memories of our stay. If you are luckily enough to be chosen to housesit you will have a wonderful experience. We would return in a heartbeat if we were in the uk again.
