What a wonderful experience! Patricia was terrific. Great instructions, lovely home, incredibly kind. And Sam... Sam was the best boy. An older dog who likes to sit beside you and stare at the boats going by. A perfect sit.
This is a dream sit in so many ways. To begin with Lori and Rich are so welcoming, relaxed, and kind. Their lovely home is in a walkable, safe neighborhood with a big fenced yard and well appointed kitchen. Their sweet dog, Kevin, is as respectful and well behaved as they come. He is a delightful, gentle companion in the home and a dream on walks, and in the car. I enjoyed the best sleep I've had in years! Their peaceful home is remarkably comfortable and quiet. Absolutely a 10/10 sit and I hope to be invited to sit again!
Pam came to fetch me at Carcassonne train station. I immediately felt very at ease with her. And immediately at ease too at her place, an interesting old and lovely and comfortable house near the canal du Midi, a beautiful area I discovered with the help of her dog, or alone. What a lovable dog! So smart. Easy to understand and to look after. I loved to walk with him, for short distances as he's not young. But he was always happy and ready! There were also two hens, very sociable too. I want here to thank all the humans and animals of that sit, for all they shared with me: their patience, their friendship, their openness.
Mike and I had a great time at Sheri's place!! Remy, Pascal and Maggie are simply wonderful. Remy and Pascal are gentle giants who love a pat and to have their coats brushed outside. Remy needed ear medication while we were there, which he made so easy for us. Maggie is full of energy!! She loves the Frisbee in the backyard (we found out we are useless frisbee throwers haha!). We loved exploring the forest which is about 1km away from Sheri's house. It's a beautiful part of the world. Sheri has a housemate who is so quiet, we didn't know if she was home or not! Mike and I would definitely recommend time at Sheri's with her three buddies!
I had a week long stay with Seri in Chantel’s beautiful apartment. It was a wonderful experience! I definitely understand why Chantel calls Seri her sidekick 😸 She was the best little shadow and she was always leaned up against me purring 😻 I had a great time with her, and the apartment is fantastic with a huge park area nearby with all different paths and gardens and beach access to the sea as well. Chantel was super easy to communicate with and I felt like I was texting with a friend. Thank you!!
Emma and Shah were so kind and welcoming. Not only did they leave thorough instructions for Frankie’s daily schedule, they even gave local recommendations for food, drinks and sights to see. Their home is beautiful and the view (especially at sunset) is unmatched. Our time spent with Frankie was a blast, she is so well behaved and kept us right on schedule with our walks and social hours ☺️ We quickly got attached to Frankie and our little daily routine with her, we’ll miss her so much! A testament to just how special she really is.

Always a great experience - Team Animal Inn, thank you so much for your amazing, seamless care of our dog. I never have to worry about her when she's there, which makes vacation and work travel time much less stressful.
This family owned business is amazing. We felt very comfortable leaving our babies here while we explored the island. They even sent us photo updates. We will be using them again!
Our pup Katy seemed to have a fine time being day boarded at Animal Inn. It’s in a great location. The staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely use them again.
A lovely spot that clearly loves animals big and small. Clean and super well run. Would’ve given five stars but was charged a $50 late fee for being only 12 minutes lates past check in. Frustrating since this is when the 4:30 ferry gets you in. And felt excessive since it’s only $40/day for the boarding.
Wonderful service. Even though they couldn’t accommodate the dog for the dates I was asking, they called me back and gave some pointers on who might be able to help. Very impressive given that it’s a small island and it might be difficult to find boarding. Really appreciated it and will check back next time.
These people are very professional and very accommodating. At last minute they took in our doodle Max. They needed all the right paperwork for vaccinations and were adamant for the safety of the other animals. Max needed one of his vaccines administered due to it being almost a year and the vet stepped in and gave him the shoot just so he can board for the day. The lady that owns it was very nice and the 2 gals that worked the front office were very sweet. Their facilities were clean and lots of open space for animals. I would trust my dogs or animals with them anytime. Safe source and service right here.
Wonderful people, great service, our girl, Frankie comes home happy and safe.
We are so lucky to have this business on the island! It is run so professionally, and the staff all truly love dogs and take awesome care of the boarders. They're meticulous with paying attention to detail as well. My dog loves to go here :)
Wonderful, caring staff. My puppy loves everyone at Animal Inn. It is reassuring to know that she is happy and safe. Outstanding and highly recommended.
These folks care about your pets. We could not have been more comfortable by their attentive nature before and during the time we dropped off our two dogs. More importantly, our dogs were not stressed out when we picked them up after 4 days in the care of the very loving staff. Annie and Snoopy say thank you and we thank you as well.
Rick and Heather are incredible care givers for my pups! They are salt of the earth, great people who genuinely love caring for dogs! Rick even offered to meet me at the hospital to pick up my dogs when I had to urgently get to a major family emergency. He offered to keep them for as long as I needed too. (Which ended up being 4 days! ). I never had to worry about my dogs. They were so loved while getting to play in their great yard. Every time we start heading up Rick’s driveway, my pups go crazy and can’t wait to get out of the car to greet them!! I’m so grateful to Rick and Heather! Thank you!
Rick and Heather provide the most amazing care for our dog, Louie. Needless to say, we were nervous about leaving him overnight as he was a young puppy when we first starting leaving him at Small Dog Boarding. Louie's experience and ours has been nothing but wonderful! The intake process is thorough and the dogs receive a "trial" run staying for the day. Rick was most helpful in providing tips for Louie's further training, particularly recall. The dogs enjoy acres of fenced property where they can romp leash free; and they sleep in Rick and Heather's home, becoming part of the family. If a dog needs medication or any other special attention, they are happy to provide it. Louie loves his time at Small Dog Boarding. He receives lots of socialization with their dogs; and is safe, happy and healthy. When he goes back, he is nothing but excited to get out of the car and join the crew. We'd recommend Rick and Heather's place to anyone with a small dog who needs TLC and overnight care. Shirley and Bob Vigerut, Victoria, BC
Rick and Heather took excellent care of our 2 small dogs for a few nights. Would definitely trust them again! Made everything super easy and it was comforting knowing our dogs would be staying with the best and would be having fun. One of our dogs even tried to go back upon pick up! Thank you Rick and Heather, would definitely recommend to anyone and would 1000% book our dogs stay with them in the future!!
Our 3 year old mixed Terrier, Snoopy, has stayed with Rick and Heather multiple times and he LOVES it. They provide him with a comfortable home away from home plus the benefit of a huge property to get to be a dog outdoors. When he is there we know he is in safe hands and he comes home tired and happy.
Rick and Heather took great care of our energetic Jack Russell for 23 days while we traveled overseas. She looked happy and healthy when we fetched her, and I am so happy we found a home away from home for our pup!
It is such a relief to leave my little dog at Rick and Heather's. He thrives in the home-like environment and around their beautiful property and came back happy. Highly recommend if you have a small dog and don't feel comfortable leaving them at bigger places that mix all size of dogs and treat it more like a commercial operation.
We are so happy that we got referred to Small dog boarding. This was the first time our dog Vexie stayed with anyone outside our home. She doesn't have regular contact with other dogs, so we were understandably nervous about how it would go. There was absolutely nothing to worry about, Rick and Heather have tons of experience and our little dog was well cared for, safe and happy. We were very impressed with how professional Rick and Heather are. From the first visit showing Vexie around, to the detailed form we filled out letting them know exactly what our dog likes and dislikes, we were assured that she would be looked after by people who love dogs and know perfectly well how to make her feel at home away from home. Having peace of mind about how Vexie was doing while we were away made our trip so much more enjoyable; I was particularly grateful for the pictures and updates. We look forward to taking Vexie back with Rick and Heather for our (and Vexie's) next big holiday. Highly recommended!
Rick and Heather have taken such good care of my dog, Ella. She loves to explore the forested area out back and has fun with the other dogs she gets to play with. She comes home happy, clean and tired from playing. I highly recommend Small Dog Boarding. Lori
We were in a bit of a bind, trying to find pet sitting for our dog Riggins while we were away on a family vacation. I came across an ad for Small Dog Boarding and thought I would enquire about their boarding services. Rick was incredibly responsive right away, and walked me through their assessment/intake process (having our dog visit their property with us and then leaving him for a half day to see how he adjusts). We were very impressed with their style of dog boarding (the dogs are allowed in their home and treated like 'one of the family') and also impressed with the property they have for the dogs to spend time in. We left Riggins for 12 days with Rick and Heather and it went better than we could have expected. Rick was fine with us checking in via text fairly often and responding to let us know how things were going. He even sent a few pictures, which was above and beyond. I have never heard of a boarding place that incorporates the dogs into home and family like Small Dog Boarding. Their service is incredible and I would not hesitate to recommend them at all. We hope to start travelling a bit more now and will definitely be calling on Rick and Heather again if we have the need to leave Riggins behind. Thank you for taking such good care of our special little guy!
I have boarded my small dog here multiple times. He is quite introverted so I was initially worried about him staying with other dogs for multiple days. I shouldn’t have worried! He always has a great time here and Rick is always very patient answering all my questions and concerns before and during the stay. This is my go-to boarding spot and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Thank you, Rick!!
Nancy is a delight, and such a great companion for your pup return you have to be away. We were so grateful she was available, and our boi seemed very comfortable and happy with her! I highly recommend her services. 👍👍 …
