We arrived with Jo and family the afternoon before they left for their holiday so we had plenty of time to familiarise with Aussie, and got to enjoy a lovely family meal together. Plus Jo had already sent us a detailed welcome pack. Aussie was such a cute little character and absolutely loved chasing a ball, and cuddles on the sofa became our evenings entertainment. His local walk is directly from their little semi-detached cottage through the fields, but we loved taking him out to walk at many of the National Trust sites within a half hour drive. The great British summer weather means you have to be prepared for very muddy paws! Thankfully Aussie was very well behaved when it came to bath time. We got a few extra bonus days with Aussie as Jo extended their family holiday abroad during our sit so it was win win for us all. Hopefully we will meet again.
A comfortable, well-equipped home and peaceful garden with a lovely outlook. A lovely cat (just one cat when I was there, friendly but undemanding). I had a very relaxing stay and look forward to returning.
Katie and John were great hosts! They were very communicative and left a wonderful welcome guide with a gift. The house was very clean and safe. It was about a 20-30 minute bus ride into the city. The bus stops were close to the house. The busses were simple to navigate with Apple Maps and were affordable. Cambridge was a very lovely city to visit! Fluffball was very friendly and sweet once we earned her trust. The instructions to care for her were manageable and clear. We truly had a great experience here and would recommend it. We will miss Fluffball!
I received a warm welcome from Naomi and Rich when I arrived and good clear instructions. The house is in a beautiful part of Cornwall and is a perfect location for some peace and quiet. Beautiful wallks and beaches are just a short drive away. Skye and Jasmine are very sweet and no trouble to look after. Skye would want you to play with her ball all the time if possible! I would be very happy to pet sit for them again.
Sadie is such a sweet little dog, very well behaved and easy to care for. The house is gorgeous and a great location, short drive to all that Santa Barbara is known for. We would come back any time!
I couldn't have been happier with this sit (unless of course I could have stayed longer). Nubs and Zazzles were super sweet the entire time, jumped on my chest anytime I laid on the couch, and caused me no problems. I did get a little worried at one point though, since I had let them in and out so much throughout the day that I had to double check that neither of them were outside when it started storming (they were both safe inside). I unfortunately didn't get the chance to meet Laura in person, but she made this a great sit by communicating well with me and providing a helpful welcome guide. Her home was also very nice and tidy, so I felt welcome immediately, especially with the two cats who greeted me at the door. I worked remotely while there, and Laura had a motorized standing desk in her bedroom that I used, which included a monitor I could use. The setup was great. Zazzles did decide to jump up and step all over keyboard at one point though! Without a doubt, I highly recommend this sit to anyone and hope I find myself there again in the future.
