Martin and Caitlin were fantastic. Lucy was well taken care of, she got lots of walks, hikes, and playtime in the river. Communication was great. We got text messages and pictures of their activities while we were away. Our house was clean and tidy, and they even remade the bed with clean sheets. We definitely recommend them, and hope they will come back! 5+ stars
Brona and Peter were incredibly generous and welcoming. They made communication effortless. I had a truly fantastic stay! Kev was a great companion and his playful antics were quite entertaining. He loved having people around without being overly clingy. I feel fortunate to experience their lovely home in such a wonderful location. Thank you once again for your warm hospitality! I would absolutely love to return.
We were so grateful to have the opportunity to sit for Ted and Joyce. The home is rural, near the cute village of Buckhorn, has lovely wooded trails to walk the dogs. It is peaceful, quiet with friendly neighbours. The kitchen is awesome for cooks, the living room is super cosy for TV watching. And the dogs - well, Moose is a dream boy - easy going, adorable, one of the sweetest dogs we've met. Desai is smart and sensitive, an old girl who is facing some of the challenges of aging. Ted and Joyce are kind, responsive to all concerns, really good people who will do anything to make sure you're happy and well-taken care of. The best kind of people. Highly recommend this sit if you have the opportunity. You will need a car.
Arif's home is in the final stages of renovations so along with a brilliant sous chef (Mersey the Cat) there was a nice new kitchen to cook in. Really comfortable stay. Arif clearly cares for Mersey, can't blame him, she is adorable. We had a great time together. The communication was great, with Arif ensuring I knew where he was with the renovations well in advance of accepting the sit. I'd happily look after Mersey again. It took her a few days to warm up to me and from then on, we were great friends. Mersey was very easy to care for and a total sweetheart.
J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour chez Bryan et Jilly. La communication avant et pendant le séjour a été parfaite. Malgré un problème médical imprévu qui a légèrement décalé leur départ, leur accueil a été fantastique: j'ai pu découvrir les talents musicaux de Bryan et j'ai partagé 2 bons repas en leur compagnie. La maison qui a un accès direct sur le canal Nantes/Brest est très ancienne mais elle est vraiment charmante et confortable. Sa situation très centrale dans le département du Finistère permet d'accéder rapidement à des lieux incontournables comme Quimper, Concarneau ou Locronan, Dora et Perdy sont adorables. Elles m'ont immédiatement adoptée et après des journées bien remplies elles sautaient sur le canapé, venaient se blottir contre moi pour demander des caresses à n'en plus finir. Trouvée est très discrète mais toujours au rendez vous pour la gamelle et les câlins. Aucun souci avec les poules et les moutons qui partagent le même enclos et qui attendaient toujours le repas du matin avec impatience + réclamaient également des suppléments de verdure dans la journée. Merci encore Bryan et Jilly pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse. Je serais bien sûr ravie de revenir à Stang Korvenn si l'occasion se présentait.
Where can we even begin?! From first contact until even after our house sit, we have had the best experience and time during the whole process. Cara and Hugo (fur parents) FaceTimed us in the beginning so we could better get to know each other, then the day before the house sit, we arrived at their house to go over the house and pet needs. During the 3 weeks that we house sat for, we looked after two amazing animals, Rocky and Pedro. Rocky is their amazing 1 year old dog who was full of energy and so much love! He loves a good walk/run, a cuddle in bed, or a cuddle pretty much anywhere! Pedro the cat took a little longer to warm up to us but by the second week he was purring his heart out, sitting on our bellies either on the couch or in bed. Don’t forget, he’s a sucker for treats!! The house is amazing, spacious, with lots of things for us to do (board games, electronics, full kitchen for cooking etc) and it’s super close to everything we needed - big shop 10 mins walk, little shops straight downstairs, buses and tubes super close and a huge park for Rocky (and us) to enjoy 2 mins away! We miss the boys already so much and hope to see them again one day, and so happy to now call Cara and Hugo our friends too! Thanks so much for trusting us in your home and with the boys, we loved every minute.
Lovely, sweet dogs! Both Luca and Dixie were taking a lot of medications, but it wasn't a problem at all as they were well-behaved and a pleasure to be around. Rachel was always in touch and very concerned about their daily routine. Everything went well, and the sit was enjoyable.It's a secure building with a great balcony view from Rachel's clean flat and a pretty area around. It was nice to take care of Luca and Dixie.
