Vicky is an angel! My husband and I hired on the recommendation of an another local pet sitting company. Our initial needs were for her to visit our two cats when we were gone camping for long weekends. She was always super attentive and affectionate with our girls. She would always send photos to us of them playing and getting enrichment. We went on an extended vacation last year, and she saved my plants from destruction, and went above and beyond to ensure the cat litter that had been piling up in the kitchen trash can was removed before we came home so we wouldn’t return to the smell. Then we adopted a puppy, and Vicky stepped in as our full time dog walker. She really bonded with Bailey and helped us train her with commands. I have never trusted anyone more with the safety and care of my pets than Vicky. If you’re looking for a one-stop amazing personalized pet care specialist, look no further! Vicky is the best out there!

We are SO grateful to have found Vicky! She’s been a godsend since day one and quickly became part of our little family. She has an amazing natural skill with pets - always tuned beautifully into their needs and temperament - and her level of dedication is just impressive. She even got herself over for her visit with our pup the day her car broke down in the snow!! We’ve always loved the pics and updates she sends along with each visit; it’s reassuring to see how happy and loved our critters are when we can’t be with them. We honestly can’t recommend her highly enough.

As an owner of a puppy it was hard for me to adjust her to my home. She lacked training and started to become attached so I was always afraid to leave her on her own. It was easy to put my trust into the team of WagNWalk because Ella was well taken care of! I was so worried but when I came back she had learned so much from the trainers! I would definitely recommend the training services if you have a struggling dog. Their team did a great job of watching Ella and giving her the care+love she needed while I was away.

Our dog, Calliope, has come a long way since we rescued her. But allowing anyone inside our home without her losing it was something we couldn't overcome. We have had three trainers and one other dog walker to no avail. Found Matthew and everything has changed. He calmly assessed our pup, was patient and confident. Even came over to the house for extra work without us asking because he wanted to help her and us. Now he can come into our house with no one around, slip on a leash, and take her on a walk while we are not home. It's as much a relief as much as it is amazing.

My dog was walked by Matthew. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with him. He seemed very knowledgeable and was very friendly. He sent me pictures and a little note about how the walk went. Would recommend. (One of the pictures he took below)

Highly recommend!!! Matt and his team are all amazing and true professionals! I wouldn’t choose anyone else to walk my dog in Portland! Wag N Walk has been there for us and our dog Max since we got him as a puppy. Matt has always been very responsive, polite, flexible, and understanding. He works with his clients to help them meet the needs of their dogs. All of the walkers my dog has had with his company have been truly wonderful. They treat our dog so well and we know he is in the best hands possible when we are not home. We feel so lucky to have found Wag N Walk and I couldn’t recommend them more highly!!!

Matthew watched and took care of my puppy and it could not have gone better! He was able to teach him commands that he was not understanding before. He gave tips about how to continuing reinforcing behavior at home which has helped a ton! Will definitely be utilizing him more to help with training

Matthew and his team are excellent! I cannot say enough good things about them. They have been visiting and walking my King Charles Spaniel since we brought him home last January. I was worried about how we would manage our new dog through puppyhood while we were at work. Wag N Walk took all the worry away. The team is incredibly reliable, communicative, and treated our dog and our home with care. We initially had them popping in for visits and potty time outside. Now that our dog is older, we continue to have the team come by when we are work to take our pup on walks through the neighborhood - no doubt the highlight of his day. Fantastic Dog Walker and service! Matt and his crew provide a great service. Always accommodating and flexible. Our dog has loved walking with Matt since the moment they met, and gets very excited when Matt comes to the home. When we first moved to the Portland area we needed to find a solid reliable dog walker. We found Matt and Wag N Walk PDX through recommendations, and very glad we did. They have exceeded our every need, and we are thrilled to have their help!

Matthew and his team of dog walkers, especially Gracie, have been incredible with service and how they treat my dog Bonita. I’ve hired them for the last 4 months. They’re always on time, post pics and tell me how many times Bonita pees & poos, and refill her water if it’s low. They’re incredibly respectful and trust worthy. Can’t imagine going through another dog walking service. They also offer dog cuts and Gracie did a great job with Bonita’s hair. Can’t recommend them more

My dog loves his time here. He gets excited every time we drive by. And they seem to take very good care of him, and all the other dogs that come in.

We used a Dog Gone Good Place for playcare and boarding for over 12 years for our 2 golden retrievers until they passed and for the past 6 years for a golden retriever and border collie mix. They do a great job providing quality care and pay attention to details when boarding. Lynn and her staff are great and we appreciate their friendly service over the many years. Highly recommend!

All my beautiful hair got shaved off :( Update: His hair has still not grown back. When I brought my animal here to have him groomed, I specifically asked not to cut his hair. When I received him back I was told that the groomer just decided to go ahead and give him a fade cut. This is caused a lower quality of life for him due to his inability to properly regulate body temperature. It is appalling that you hire an employee groomers that don't understand types of dog hair. I took him to the professional groomer that had been grooming him the rest of his entire life and she was appalled at how horrible his hair looked and how damaged it now is.

100%, without a shadow of a doubt, the BEST doggy daycare I could’ve ever asked for. Every time I drive into the parking lot in the morning, the audible excitement my dog expresses when he sees where he’s going says it all. The owner, staff and their system is amazing. They’re extremely communicative and knowledgeable. I’ve often asked them for advice and every time they deliver. You won’t be disappointed with them. “A Dog Gone Good Place” is a truly fitting name, it’s the best. Thank You!

Attempted to bring my 6month old puppy. The lobby here can be chaotic, two unleashed dogs ran in while I'm checking in and both agreed aggressive to my pup. This place may be fine, but from my perspective it seems like chaos and outreach mentality rules and they just let them be crazy. I am taking my business to a day care that offers balanced care and legitimate socializing, not just chaos.

Our dog has gone here for years and we love it. She is in daycare but we also board her when we travel. They take very good care of her. She comes home tired, which is good for a husky. Staff is great, drop off and pick up are efficient. They also have grooming services, which is very convenient. Highly recommend if you are looking for daycare or boarding.

We have our golden doodle groomed every 8 weeks. He always looks great, smells good, and is ready on time.

Personalized dog care and hands on training!

I felt very comfortable with the owner and she is very knowledgeable working with dogs. Any time I have to go out of town for work I know he will be taken care of and the training he has received makes a world of difference. I will always appreciate her patience and ability to work with dogs considering how much Butters has settled down since. 10/10

We use the self wash every week and it’s great and very convenient. They have every amenity you need (shampoo, conditioner, towels, grooming tools, etc). It can get dirty in there during peak times but the staff do a pretty good job making sure the stations and floor stay reasonably clean for use. The owner is also very responsive and makes efforts to rectify issues quickly. I wish they enforced or put up more signage for the entitled dog owners who think they can leave their junk all over the drying stations to “hold” them so no one else can use them while they wash their dog. It’s a first come, first serve area for all stations. Be mindful of how busy it can be and be reasonable with your time and usage of the space. Crazy this even needs to be said, thought it was basic decency and etiquette. Signage with clear rules of how to use the space would be very helpful.

I’m beyond frustrated with the service at this place. The front desk staff is completely unprofessional, and my experience with the groomer was unacceptable. While trying to trim my corgi’s nails, the groomer accidentally shaved a patch of hair off his back. If it had been any deeper, my dog could have been seriously hurt. To make matters worse, the groomer only left a voice message to inform us about the accident. The front desk staff was unapologetic, repeatedly insisting that a $10 discount was sufficient because it’s just a patch of hair that will grow back. I can’t imagine they’d feel the same way if they went for a manicure and ended up with a bald spot—they’d be outraged! They need to seriously reassess their techniques and figure out how to avoid these accidents in the future. This was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Update: The owner reached out to discuss the issues we had with the front desk and the groomer that day. He was understanding and offered us a voucher for a free grooming in the future. We appreciate his attitude and the fact that he values customer satisfaction. We might consider coming back once our dog's fur grows back more.

I do not recommend this place. I was accused once before of “free lancing” because I brought a client dog here (I am a dog trainer, NOT a dog groomer) because I needed to give them a medicated bath. Apparently my photo was taken or something to put on their wall so that their staff knew to not welcome me back to wash dogs. So today I brought my own personal dogs in because I needed to bathe them. It wasn’t until I was done with my first dog and was bringing in my second dog that I was informed that I wasn’t allowed to “freelance” in their establishment despite having my own personal dogs to bring with me. So I had to pay for one two & leave with my other 2 dogs unbathed. There is no specification anywhere about what they consider “free lancing”. If they don’t want other non groomer professionals coming to utilize their facility, they should make that abundantly clear on their website & in their facility. I will not be recommending this place to any of my own clients, friends or other professionals in the area.

I love Barkzone I have used their Dog Daycare for more than 2 years and my dogs love it. I recently used their boarding and I was very impressed with the everything. Highly recommend. Everyone is really friendly and they genuinely care about the dogs.

We have been to self wash at Barkzone and loved it so this time I booked a grooming service. My dogs had a previous bad experience so extremely nervous and anxious. He would not let me go so the staff said I can stay. His groomer was Danielle she was awesome, simple awesome. She introduced herself to my dog and talked with him the whole time. 2 hours non stop in calm baby voice very calmly so it naturally made him calm. She explained it to him what she was doing even though he won’t understand a thing but he’s used to us talking so it made him relaxed. Danielle is simply amazing!!! If you are looking for a groomer for a dog with anxiety she is the one! She didn’t do anything against his will if he whined she moved to do something else. Very good technique! Last but not the least the facility is clean.

Yeah, it’s crazy. I wouldn’t take my dog there either. I took him there,when I pick him up.He was wet and I could tell something was wrong with him. I asked them what happened they said nothing. I said why is he wet.They said they just cleaned him. I Walked out. I tried to get him to react like normal. Then I started rubbing him and found bite marks on his neck. I went back in and confronted them. They said nothing happened. And then one of the employees told me. Oh yeah he got bit, but it wasn’t that hard. I took him to the vet. They said he had puncture wound on his neck. It’s just amazing how they would try to hide , any other spot you would think they would normally notify you. I was so mad. It’s taking me a couple years to write this. But every time I see the name, Bark zone it just infuriates me.

We have used Barkzone for over 6 years, first at Hillsboro and then at Bethany. Koto can't wait to walk through the front door. Ryan has been the only groomer we have ever used and he is amazingly 👏 We have boarded Koto many times and never have encountered any issues. We can watch on the Webcam and see that everyone who works there loves their job and treats all the furbabies as though they were their own. Between Koto and my granddog Lance we are thrilled to have such a loving environment to entrust our pets to. We have never encountered any person there who is not friendly yet professional. Thank you for providing that.

I don’t always post reviews, but barkzone has gone above and beyond to take great care of my pups! We usually bring them for daycare and see pictures and get good reports back. They take all sorts of measures to keep the pups cool in the summer. I just got my Keeshound groomed here and they did a fantastic job! They knew how to handle double coated dogs and it’s honestly the best grooming he has ever gotten. I would recommend the daycare and grooming services!

Our pup got his toes trimmed and shaved and it was a very calm experience for him. We were able to be there with him during the process to give him encouragement and give us peace of mind since he’s usually squirmy about these things. Props to the groomer!

We boarded our young (under 1 year) Australian Sheppard here over the Christmas holiday. Wendy was very hands on in making sure that he would be a good fit as he was a bit younger than they usually take. Right away this made us feel good, as we knew they were very serious about this experience. There is plenty of space for the dogs to exercise and socialize with the other dogs. Will absolutely be boarding here again!

I had a week long vacation out of the country and was very thrilled when I found Lori! I have never left my bunny with someone before for that long and was super nervous. Lori made me feel much better about the whole process by giving me access to the bunny room camera and her extensive knowledge on rabbits. I got to check on my little guy the whole time I was gone! Will definitely use Whisker Wise boarding the next time I’m out of town!

My three guinea pigs are very spoiled and precious to me, so it’s hard for me to leave them when we go out of town. I am so glad to have found Whisker Wise! Lori takes excellent care of my girls and responds readily to texts when I inquire about how they’re doing. They stayed with her for over two weeks this summer while we were visiting family and upon picking them up I could see they were happy and healthy (no lost weight, which happened at a previous place we boarded them at). She even gives them fresh veggies/tomatoes from her garden! Definitely recommend Whisker Wise. :)

Our guinea pigs Teddy and Domino were very well cared-for during our week and half away this month. The owner is super responsive to texts, understanding and responsible, and even sent us a cute video of our babies. :) Would definitely use again! Oh, and it was super affordable too!

Whisker Wise watched my two bonded English Lop Rabbits for about 17 days. Lori did such a good and attentive job in caring for them! They seem healthy and happy as can be. I also really enjoyed that Whisker Wise Animal Care and Boarding has cameras set up over the rabbit areas so you can check in on your rabbit at any time. Lori is also extremely kind and definitely cares about the animals themselves. When my rabbits ran out of a supplement/treat Lori went out and bought some more. I would definitely leave my Rabbits with Whisker Wise again!

When I went out of town for a week I was glad to find a place like whisker wise and someone like Lori to take care of my bunny. I've never boarded her before so I was a little apprehensive, but Lori assured me she would be very well cared for. She even offered to place her in a pen with a camera. It was so nice to see her on video whenever I wanted so I could check up on her and be able to move the camera around to see who she was rooming next to.The size of the pen looked very spacious and nicely set up with blankets. I would very much recommend Whisker Wise for any of your pocket pets and will definitely be using them again in the future!

I love Whisker Wise Animal Care & Boarding! Lori is absolutely wonderful and takes such good care of my rabbit. I never have to worry about him when I go out of town. She gives him the attention he needs and gives me updates on how he is doing. The setup she provides for rabbits is really nice and big. I used to board my bunny with my veterinarian, but I much prefer Whisker Wise. I have no reason to ever go to another boarder again!

Lori takes amazing care with the animals she watches. I was anxious to leave my newly adopted bunny for a week, but when I came back my sweet Maggie was even tamer than before! She has an amazing set up for bunnies (super cool modified room!) with toys and boxes and even little sitting pads for the bunns. She's super flexible about pick up and drop off and is very kind! She is awesome! Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience! Our senior bunny was well cared for during the 10 days we were out of town, and I loved being able to check on her via webcam. We will definitely be booking again the next time we go on a trip!

Having recently moved to the area, we were a little nervous with finding a new place to have our rabbits stay while we were out of town. Lori was great to talk to and put me at ease- additionally having a camera where we could view our buns to check in on them was a huge plus as well! Benny and Jasper were well taken care of during their stay over the New Year's holiday. Definitely will be bringing our buns here in the future for boarding. Thank you Lori!

Lori took in my bunnies at the last minute because I lost power. She was super kind and helpful! She was flexible and attentive. I know my kids were well taken care of. I definitely recommend her and will go back to her in the future.

A dog’s hide-a-way is the perfect place for a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your pup. Dogs run free through woods and streams, and some easy obstacles for their exercise and mental stimulation. There are always plenty of humans in the vicinity of the dogs to insure the safety of the pups. They are a very professional and caring staff. If you want a safe and healthy outdoor environment for your dog, this is the place for you. Our family likes A Dog’s hide-a-way better than the indoor and crated experience of other day care businesses.

This was our first time leaving our family dog Mochi for boarding care, so we were a little bit nervous about it at first. But after meeting the kind staff, seeing the location in person, and having flexible boarding options made us feel so comfortable and at ease. Mochi had such a good time and we cannot express how happy we were knowing she was in such great hands! We also really appreciated all the updates that we received. We cannot wait to continue to bring her here!

We recently moved. My poor dog has had the worst separation anxiety. I couldn’t go anywhere without him. But it was getting to my mental health as well. We are only on day 2, but this has been a godsend. He is sleeping through the night. He's not clinging to me. He is finding peace. I am finding peace knowing that he is being taken care of when i'm working. I could cry just talking about the relief this place has given our little family. Update: we are on week 2. He was an escape artist. And I thought they would kick him out. But they actually found ways to keep him safe. And he is doing so good! And when we are home, he is getting more independent. I can’t thank these people enough. This place deserves 10 stars!!!

AMAZING! The property is great, lots of opportunity for running, climbing, and playing in the creek. The staff is super friendly and engaged with all of the dogs, and I love that they post tons of pics and videos on the Instagram page. They are super responsive to text messages, and often include a photo update!

We highly recommend A Dog's Hide-A-Way for both doggie daycare and boarding! We've been taking our dog here for a few years, and she absolutely adores the staff. We know she's in good hands here. The vast outdoor space allows her to run to her heart's content and the indoor areas are great for extreme weather days.

I can't think Karen and her staff enough for having our dog Mali for 3 days. From the meet and greet, to the staff, to knowing that Mali would be safe. She was able to sleep inside and I know she had fun, because she came home exhausted. I would not hesitate to board your pup here, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The best doggy daycare in town! This place is truly special. With more space to run around and play than a dog could dream of and the nicest owners/staff. Gary and Karen truly care about the well being of the dogs and go above and beyond for them. My little Barry goes there for daycare and I’ve boarded him as well. They’re so generous with their home, allowing him to sleep in the house and cuddle when he’s anxious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Your pups will be in great hands at A Dog’s Hide-A-Way.

My dog loves attending daycare and comes home sooo tired. The staff is friendly and easy to get a hold of if I have questions and they consistently update their IG daily, which I love because I get to see what my girl is up to. I haven’t utilized their boarding services but have had such a great experience with daycare that I plan on boarding in the near future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun environment for their dog!

This is a great place for your dog (s). Pristine clean asphalt paths over 5 acres with fun and engaging things for your pup to do. Whether it be always supervised swimming in the creek or pond, climbing over large logs, crossing over a fun bridge complete with a tunnel, digging in dedicated areas, your dog will never be bored! When you pick up your dog they will sleep for days because they are so tired! There's even a large dog washing tub to bathe your dog when they leave.

If my dog Maggie could write this review, she would say that A Dog's Hide-a-way is her favorite place in the world. She loves going to play for a day and staying overnight. She thinks Gary and Karen could not possibly have done a better job creating the ultimate daycare and boarding for dogs. And all her human friends who work there deserve huge kisses. So thankful to have discovered this place!
