I must start with a disclaimer: **They are mine.** End disclaimer. Jennifer and Sandy were absolutely the best. They took the time to understand each cat and their cat quirks. We received videos and pictures every day - with commentary. (And one in slow-mo.) The house was cleaner than when we left (and we thought it WAS clean.) The pantry and freezer were cleaned and reorganized. We have already asked them back for a sit next winter. If they apply for your sit, don't hesitate to accept it.
What lovely people - they had never done a Dog sit before so it was a bit of a gamble. On the whole it went well. The house was immaculate when we returned. Lovely flowers and a card when we got home. Maybe I should have been clearer on our expectations for Puddles as we think that Puddles might have been left a bit longer on his own than normal as his favourite toys seemed to have been really chewed up. I guess that’s a lock down dog for you.
What a fabulous experience, looking after beautiful little Pixelle in Sophie’s lovely apartment! ❤️ Sophie was so welcoming and made me feel at home right away. She was thoughtful about making sure I had plenty of space in her fridge, bedroom and bathroom to place my things, which I really appreciated. Her well-appointed apartment is a calm haven, with two balconies to sit outside and relax (sometimes with cat☺️), yet is very close to all amenities, restaurants etc. which is super convenient. Pixelle is an absolute joy - a cuddly little girl who loves being brushed and is not shy to let you know when it’s time for some attention! 😍 I will miss our evenings cuddling on the chair with Netflix and brush in hand. I highly recommend this sit and hope to have the opportunity to look after Pixelle again one day!
I had a very comfortable stay at Gill and Jez’s. They picked me up from Eltham station which was very kind. Fuzzpot loves being outside and will whizz out the minute she thinks she’ll be shut indoors. I relate! She’s a very affectionate rescue and is clearly in cat heaven in her new home. Gill had dressed the guest bed in beautiful crisp new sheets. I slept so well. The house is in a quiet residential part of south-east London - a nice home, in a pleasant place.
