Israel is awesome, he took both of our dogs for walks and gave our little Boston terrier all of her required meds. Our place was spotless when we got home and looks just like we left it. 5 stars for sure! We highly recommend Israel.
We loved getting to care for adorable little Bud and his big sister Pal! Bud was playful and enjoyed lots of love and attention. Pal is a very gentle and sweet dog, however she was really intense about chomping up grass, sticks, and plants in their yard and on walks. She did seem to do better walking at Wash Park with wide paved paths. Their home is in a great location and everything was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately just a couple days before the sit we were told that the downstairs "guest suite" would not be available as they had 5 Airbnb reservations scheduled during our 9 day sit. Plus 4 days that the cleaners would be coming between each Airbnb stay. All the guests and cleaners were accessing the property through the back yard and same back door where we were caring for the dogs. Some of the guests left the gate open, and it added another layer of responsibility as we were asked to keep the dogs quiet while guests were downstairs. The dogs woke up at 5am everyday and keeping them quiet was an unexpected challenge. On our last night Bud had an odd wake up in the night. I sat with him until he fell back asleep and he seemed fine the next morning but I did notify Julia right away. We were really upset to hear that he was taken to the ER the next night. We really hope he is doing better, but it was a reminder to me why the Welcome Guide is so important. I realized that I wasn't given any of their Vet's info or emergency contact. We also had several questions regarding pet care (where is the water dish?, where is more dog food?, etc) that could have been answered with a Welcome Guide, however Julia was extremely responsive and communicated with us daily during the sit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Austwick with Mischa who is my favourite cat ever! Liz and John were there to welcome us and explain things, and are very kind and laid back people. We really enjoyed spending time in their comfortable house with stunning views over the Yorkshire dales. Mischa was easy to look after, he likes spending a lot of time playing (for the 10% of the time he isn't sleeping), and enjoys company and head scratches very much too. Overall this was the dream sit!
Geneva, Rich and Ailsa were so welcoming and I really enjoyed meeting them before the sit. Ron and Lily were so easy to look after, so I can definitely recommend hanging out with them.
Loved Brockweir very much. The owners are wonderful ladies and the village community are very friendly. Could not have had a better time.
We had such an amazing time looking after Poppy and Pebbles - we are going to miss them so much. They both have bundles of character and we will definitely miss all the doggy cuddles. They are so well behaved and very well trained and an absolute delight to take care of. Thank you to Vicki and Dan for being so hospitable. We loved the house and it is in such a great location. We loved popping into Fremantle or taking the dogs to all the local parks Vicki was very responsive if we needed to ask anything about the dogs Overall such a great first Trusted House Sitters experience - thank you both
