Marilyn and Dave are wonderful hosts with a lovely home. We arrived on the night before to get to know the house and Bailey and have a nice chat over dinner. We had everything we needed for the sit. Beautiful, fully equipped kitchen that we used for nearly all of our meals thanks to Covid. California king bed in the guest room we used with an attached bath. Inviting living room where we spent most of our time working from laptops and watching TV. Driveway fit our car no problem. Weather was amazing in normal SoCal fashion. No A/C in the house, but it's not needed. Highs in the lower 70s (even in June) made things comfortable day/night and we're picky when it comes to indoor comfort. Communication was always good despite them being in another country and in a remote area. Great location and we took Bailey on many walks to hang out on the beach benches. Close to the highway, but we rarely heard it. There are some trains nearby and you will hear them a few times a day, but they're not a big deal at all and never bothered us. There's a Vonn's grocery stores nearby and a few miles further and you have plenty more shopping. Unfortunately, due to Covid we didn't get to visit any of the nearby attractions, but there are many. LegoLand, Sea World, San Diego and their famous Zoo, etc. You'll never be bored here. Our 2 week sit turned into over 3 months and we would have loved to stay for longer. Bailey is a dream and we will miss her so much! She's so sweet and caring and spent most of her time near us. Obedient and easy going, she was so much fun and laid back. She enjoyed daily brushing and loved walks anywhere. This is a great sit, one of our favorites. If you're lucky enough to land this sit you'll love it too, but you'll have to beat us to it. It's one of our favorites and we'd love to return.
Joy and I really enjoyed this sit! Craig and Cyndy made us feel appreciated and welcomed right from the start. They were relaxed, helpful and engaging. Luna and Dash were just as welcoming and engaging! They are very sweet, and obviously well loved. So easy to be around. Cyndy and Craig's house is lovely. Open and light filled, with an amazing state of the art kitchen. A foodies delight for sure. If you get the chance to sit for these guys, grab it with both hands!
Craig and I had a truly memorable time house-sitting for two wonderful cats, Hamish and Jess, in Jackie and Zazi's beautiful home. Communication was straightforward and easy, J&Z are really well organised and provided helpful information for our arrival, for caring for H&J and on the local areas of interest. Their home is absolutely spotless, really well equipped and is extremely relaxing, calming and peaceful. The garden room is a very special space with views over their beautiful garden, many an hour was spent watching nature come and go. We bonded well with Hamish and Jess and were both delighted to have them both sit on our laps, they are easy-going, affectionate, chilled cats that add so much to an already wonderful home. We highly recommend this sit in a picturesque quintessential English village with stunning scenery and walks direct from the door. It's a lovely part of the country and we would love to return again in the future.
We enjoyed our house sit. All pets were well behaved. Dexter was delightful and the two cats lovely. Tessa and Dale were very gracious. We had a lovely baked dinner with them the evening before their departure and the house is beautiful and within walking distance from parks and shops. Would highly recommend this sit and would love to return if the opportunity presented itself.
I had the most wonderful stay and Florrie and Harry’s place in Putney with Gus. Florrie was excellent at communicating so the sit was really smooth and easy. Their house is full of plants and lovely decor which gives it a really homely feel and Gus is full of character and such a sweetie to look after. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone considering it.
