Lisa
Lisa and Phillip were fantastic hosts and all their pets were adorable.
We arrived early so they could show us a full day’s routine and Phillip cooked us two delicious meals.
Sophie, their dog, was really well behaved, she was easy and a pleasure to look after, she is very gentle and funny. The two cats both had their different characters and little Grace slept on our bed each night (and most of the day), she is such a sweetie, while Elijah is very affectionate but spends most of his time outside. He liked following us round in the mornings as we fed the chickens, goose and goats. The chickens were easy and gave us delicious eggs every day whilst the goose was also really friendly, very talkative and gave us lovely eggs too.
Alice and Flo the goats had such personality and we quickly became fond of them…
Lisa and Phillip’s house is a wonderful old building that they are lovingly and sympathetically restoring. Our spacious bedroom was cosy with a very comfy bed and an ensuite. It is surrounded by numerous beautiful walks which made walking Sophie an absolute pleasure.
Brittany is a lovely place to explore and Lisa and Phillip recommended some great spots and restaurants to visit.
Thank you so much Lisa and Phillip for trusting us for our first THS sit - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We feel that not only have we had an amazing time but made some new friends too and hope to see you all again soon. We’re missing Sophie and Grace already…

Bridget
Bridget and Aaron were very communicative and considerate during the entirety of our time sitting for Stella and Sophie. They were able to answer any and all questions we had during the stay, and they continually offered help when things were difficult with the apartment building. We were delighted to help out with their pet care and housesitting needs, and we really enjoyed exploring the city. Also, Stella and Sophie were so incredibly sweet and loving! We’d love to sit for Bridget and Aaron again.

I had such a great time! It’s a beautiful home with everything you need, it’s very comfortable. The cats have the best personalities, they made me laugh everyday with lots of cuddles. I miss them so much!

Fiona Amber
Amber and Rob were fantastic hosts. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. There were all the essentials, including a bit of a ‘starter pack’ of milk, bread, eggs etc
Amber took time to walk us around and show us what was required with the animals and the general running of the house
We are only one day gone and we are already missing Harper and Luna (and Paws and Milo). They are great company and so affectionate. The property is beautiful and everything that you need is either a walk, a short drive or a bus or train trip away.
An absolute pleasure to sit in every way.

Meredith
Our stay with Meredith was great. The kids loved her house with the big backyard and the swing. First thing in the morning they would go out there with Rosie and Nootz (lots of times Lulu joined). After we got dressed, they would take them for a walk around the neighborhood, while I prepared breakfast for everyone and cleaned out the cat litters. Rosie and Nootz spend the day in the house and the backyard, while we went out exploring, until we came back in the afternoon. Then again, it was playtime for the boys and the dogs in the backyard. Before or after dinner (the dogs are very flexible on that with the big backyard) we would take them on a longer walk again and freshen up the litters. Everyone received food again, even though some parties chose not to eat or only little.
The neighborhood is very friendly and has easy access to everything you need. We definitely recommend Meredith's house, as it was lots of fun to stay there for us.

Jason
The application process was straightforward with a welcome pack quickly sent after a WhatsApp chat and selection. Communication was good throughout. It was relatively short notice and hence, only Rick was able to take up this opportunity (We normally travel as a couple). On arrival in Singapore, a 30-minute taxi ride across the island for about S$35 seemed like great value. Nicole met me at the apartment’s reception area with Zoe who is a lovely, easy going, quiet natured kelpie. Zoe and I met like old friends, and that friendship only grew through the sit! She has such a nice nature.
I arrived the day before Nicole and Jason departed for their holiday and after settling in, we went for a walk around the area and Nicole was very generous with her time - making sure I was settled; pointing out dog facilities and also where I might want to shop or eat out. There are 2 good parks nearby, with lots of winding path circuits, so there was lots to explore. In the busy parks, there are wild chickens, squirrels, birds, small lizards and I saw a very big monitor lizard. Apparently, there are also sea otters and monkeys!
Stanley is a stand-offish tabby cat, and kept to himself for a couple of days, but soon softened and was a bit of a smoocher by the time the week was out, but still reserved.
Zoe had regular walks and is very well behaved on the lead. We went to an off-lead enclosure in a park nearby quite regularly. We were often there on our own, but on Sunday, there would have been 15 other dogs there, off-lead, of all sizes and they all got along fine. That said, Zoe doesn’t give other dogs as much attention as most people. She loves getting pats if there is anyone she knows in the reception area – and it turns out, even if she doesn’t know them! 😊
The sit went very well, with routines and feeding pretty well established. The apartment is well provisioned with a kitchen and has cleaners that come through MonWedFri, refreshing linen. A few locals are quite afraid of dogs, so I planned to be in the apartment for the cleaning time and I took Zoe out whilst the cleaners did their work. Breakfast is provided in the lobby on weekdays and there are many pools to pick from, with towels provided in the apartment and poolside. It is a very nice home and everything you might need is relatively close at hand.
I was able to explore the area on foot, with Zoe, and also had plenty of time to venture further afield on my own - by short term hire bike, on the cheap and efficient public transport system. I got as far as the northern tip of the island and into the central city. The period from say 10 am to 5pm was generally too hot for Zoe to be out for anything more than a quick wee, so we always had a good morning and evening walk.
Jason and Nicole allowed me to stay one more night after they returned home. We enjoyed dinner together on arrival and before departure. They are very welcoming, friendly and I was made to feel comfortable.
On the morning of my departure, my Ryde app glitched (Taxi drier said this was common at busy times!) and the reception desk struggled to get through to the taxi company on a weekday early morning rush hour. The reception staff persisted and I got a taxi after a lot of calls - a bit of a panic - so I would pre-order a taxi next time for a busy period.
It was a lovely house sit. Jason and Nicole are very good, experienced hosts with easy going pets and future opportunities will be in high demand - a great experience!
