Bronwen and Steve were so warm in welcoming us to their beautiful home. We could tell they really cared about us having a good experience at their place during our stay. Bo is a very cute companion and we really enjoyed our time with him. He just loves to be around people at all times and we were more than happy to adventure with him around Hastings or chill at home with him during the wet weather. Bronwen's restaurant tips were much appreciated and the welcome guide was very thorough, which made caring for the house and Bo very straightforward. We enjoyed great chats with both of them and would love to revisit again one day if timing's aligned. Thanks to you both and to Bo xx
Really magical, peaceful place and the lurchers were characterful and a pleasure to look after. Be prepared for the single track roads to get there.
Jan & Graeme are lovely people! They are both very warm, friendly and communicative, and their old doggo Saara is super sweet. I felt very welcomed and trusted in their house :) We met a few days before the sit began so they could talk me through everything Saara needed in order to be content in their absence - unfortunately Saara had hurt her leg so needed extra medication and couldn't go for walks the first couple of days (dear thing), but everything was thoroughly explained and written out for me so I felt perfectly comfortable during the time Jan and Graeme were away. It's a lovely, modern house in a nice quiet neighbourhood with some great nature walks around. Having use of the car was also fantastic as it meant I could get to the nearby mall and then also into the city to meet friends for lunch. All in all I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this sit.
I loved sitting for Sox over bank holiday weekend. She was very calm and easy to take care of - she enjoys plenty of strokes behind the ear and had a hearty appetite for an older cat. Tessa was very easy going and flexible. Her home is well located near grocery stores and cafes, as well as transport links into central London. Her home is well-equipped with everything you could need for a great sit. Her home has a great garden where you can enjoy the sunshine (or rain) surrounded by lots of wonderful plants! I hope to sit for Sox again in the future! 🐈♥️
It was so nice to meet Barbara and Willie. They were so welcoming and accommodating, even though we arrived later than we expected to! They were both really kind, left us with lots of information and helped make our stay in Gullane great. Firrinne and Caoimhe are lovely dogs. They are very energetic and love a run along the beach. It was very funny watching them so entertained running after tennis balls. They are also really responsive, they listen and generally behaved really well. They always appreciate some attention and few treats around walk time. The house is gorgeous, really peaceful but close to lots of amenities. The beach in Gullane is beautiful and has lovely views across the water. It was such a pleasure to sit for Barbara and Willie!
We spent some fantastic days at Emily, Andrew and Sophia's house enjoying the company of the sweet Kaya, the funny Chip and the beautiful surroundings. We have shared some time with Chip, but as all of us who have had hamsters know, he was more interested in nightlife than us, and so we saw little of each other. However, when we did, he was such a cute and funny little thing. Kaya is a lovely, gentle dog that, although she is already ten years old, is always agile when it comes to playing, and she goes crazy for chasing after stones that you throw for her. She always looks for your company and loves relaxing in the afternoon with you in the living room as if it were the best thing in the world. Emily was always very good with communication and we can only thank her and her family for these relaxing few days in their cozy and beautiful home.
