I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Ligia's cozy home. Sadly, their elderly dog passed away a few days before I was scheduled to start the sit, but they were so gracious in letting me stay at their home anyway. The whole family was so warm and welcoming and took the time to show me around and make sure I was comfortable. I enjoyed some long walks at Rock Creek park and throughout their beautiful neighborhood. If they ever get another pet, I would not hesitate to sit for this amazing family. My condolences to them on the loss of their sweet Jasper, and many thanks for their kindness and generosity.
What a lovely little farm Lindsey has. Her animal family is a welcome change from day to day life. Lindsey was very clear in her instructions on how to care for the animals. The home is in a wonderful location right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway and 10 minutes from the fun of downtown Asheville. We loved Lindsey’s energy and especially her farm songs. You need to put out a Folk record. 🌸
I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience taking care of sweetest boy Harley and his wonderful home! Harley is a fine old gentleman, who loves to hang out close by and enjoy a couple good walks a day! We spent most of our time on the relaxing porch. I couldn't have asked for a better friend to spend the week with! Adore him! The house is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. Montreat and Black Mountain are fun to poke around in and hiking is close by. I would happily and gratefully take care of Harley at any time! Thank you, Ann, for the opportunity!
Alessia and Alvin were very kind and hospitable, the communication was smooth and relaxed. They even left me behind the sweetest package of tasty goodies to get me off to a good start at the sit, that really made me feel at home. Fritzi is adorable. He is quick to become affectionate, and likes to be close to his human. During my sit he experienced some eye problems. To give the treatment was not difficult, it only makes Fritzi a bit grumpy. I made some extra effort to win his trust and affection during this time, and it worked very well. Once his eyes were healed and the cone could come off, he was such a happy camper, really adorable and relaxed. Fritzi has boundaries and will let you know when you cross them by lashing out - but he's never actually scratched me, it's just to get the message across. Finally, the apartment is very comfortable and quiet. I'd go back any time.
I just loved this house sit, Russ and Jo were very welcoming, picked me up from the train station, had dinner with them, watched the footie together, glass of wine (so friendly) Everything I needed to know regarding the house, Bailey and Phillis was explained and also a great folder was left with all information to go back to. Bailey was a delight right from the start, enjoyed his walks, cuddles, lots of character. Phyliss also had her little ways, she liked to drink the water from a running tap will be one of my happy memories. Highly recommend this sit to anyone else
Now I know exactly what my dream home will be like! This place is so beautiful. The dogs are the best behaved I've ever worked with. There are a lot of chores for all the animals on the property, but then you get to enjoy all the animals that appreciate your care. I loved the native birds and wildlife too. The games and amenities in the house are another plus. My son is already asking when we'll go back.
