Wow, six stars at least. Ailsa and Ben were extremely kind, generous and supportive while we sat for them. They understand the needs of a sitter and ensured everything was in place prior to them leaving. The details of the housesit and what was required of us were thorough and accurate. Their communication has been timely and detailed both before and during the sit leaving us feeling supported throughout. We highly recommend this sit. This is a beautiful part of England, somewhere we had not visited before. The area is steeped in history as well as natural beauty. The farm is an oasis that we delighted in walking around looking at the seasons pattern of farming plus the autumn colours, wildlife and huge views. Who better for company than Rosie and Lettuce who are as adorable as they look. Full of character and enthusiastic to show us around the farm and explore all of their best places. They were easy to wander around with and responded well to the whistle. While not out walking they would sit with us for cuddles like a couple of hot water bottles on our laps. They were very well mannered, easy to look after and love. The four horses were beautiful, again, well mannered and easy to feed and care for. The accommodation was in “Stable Cottage” a delightful, clean, warm, comfortable, fully equipped, self-contained, separate AirBnB next to the farmhouse and stables. Being an AirBnB there was space for our clothes and paraphernalia we carry around as full time house sitters. We loved our stay in Corbridge and hope that another future opportunity may arise to sit for Ailsa and Ben. This was a very memorable housesit and we will hugely miss Rosie and Lettuce to whom we have become very attached.
We stayed for two weeks. Cato is an absolute dream to care for. He’s loving, great on walks and with recall, has tonnes of energy and we became great pals! We did struggle with the internet connection but I think that’s being updated but it was a little tricky for us as we both work from home. The house itself is beautiful and is being worked on but we were happy to oversee the little imperfections/works that were happening during our stay as upon balance the grounds are gorgeous, the hosts welcomed us with real warmth, Cato is a dream and the surrounding areas are very special to explore. The bedroom we slept in was lovely. It’s going to be a magical place when everything is completed.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home in York. Rob met us at the station, as we were on the same train, and we walked home together through the city, passing the Minster on the way. Then Naomi showed us around the house, talking us through the welcome guide that they had prepared. The dogs, Margot and Mortimer, were such good fun. They are gentle giants. We took them for a sniff around the park each day but other than that they spent their time playing in the garden or relaxing wherever we were sitting! Thank you so much Rob and Naomi for inviting us to sit. We would love to return and spend some more time with Margot and Mortimer.
Had the best time looking after Oliver, he is an absolute gem - loved his walks and plenty of cuddles. Missing him already! Sheena was a pleasure, had everything tidy, organised and ready for my visit. Was quick to respond to all my questions even with the time difference. Would definitely recommend them for future sitters!
If you want to visit Madison you could not ask for a better location. Everything is in walking distance and the condo is comfortable and well equipped. Add in a couple of playful, cuddly cats and you have yourself a perfect housesit!
We had the pleasure of spending a few days in Madrid with Rumi! He is an incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate cat who loves to be close to people. Our experience with Hannah and Alberto was great. From the beginning, their instructions were clear and they made us feel welcome. It was clear that they are used to sitters, which is fantastic. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located. We had everything we needed to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay in Madrid. We would highly recommend them to any animal lover!!
