Stephanie
Taking care of Gracie for Stephanie was a pleasure. Very clear communication before/during the sit made it easy and peaceful. Gracie is a very easy dog to love, she's full of cuddles and is very well behaved.

Georgia
Georgia is lovely and so is her apartment. It’s close to everything and the best part is getting to share it with Benny. He’s a sweetheart and loves to snuggle.

Pat
What an absolutely tremendous experience! Pat's oceanfront retreat (Eagles' Landing) is amazing. Pat is extremely friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk with. She will provide you with everything you need to know to set you up for success.

Pat's place is just as her posting depicts - peaceful, spacious, comfortable and has everything you'd ever need to have a wonderful stay. The view out over the sea is vast. Due to its positioning, there is a 180 degree water view from the kitchen and when relaxing on the deck or pier. Sunrises galore! Coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, the wildlife, shoreline, sea birds and passing ships are right there to be enjoyed. I took so many pics it'll take me ages to go through them all! I saw orcas, otters, sea birds, herons, eagles, song birds, deer and racoon without going anywhere.

Most importantly though is Max. Max is every inch a Maine Coon. He's a big, beautiful, self sufficient pussy-cat - quite the frontiersman too with the great outdoors as his own backyard. Max is still young and trying to get accustomed to a wider social circle so he took the time and space he needed to observe me and check out my routines. I remained engaged, gave him space and talked with him all the time while also observing him and his routines. One day I received his gold paw of approval (!) and thereafter, we were great pals. Max is not a lap cat but he's not aloof either. He's very clever, playful and inquisitive and gets up to some kitty hijinks too! He'll cruise in from outside quite regularly to see what you're up to and of course...request the perfect amount of adoration, scratches and headpats that he desires in t that moment : ) He seems keenly invested in your exercise and will encourage you to play fetch by retrieving your own items that he's swatted off a table. What a kidder. If you want to take a wander on the property or to the parkette next door, Max will happily join you. He'll walk with you on the beach in under the pier too. He loves exploring! In the evenings he'd settle in, have his dinner and watch a movie with me. It was starting to get chilly towards the end of my stay and Max would stretch out on the floor in front of the gas fireplace for a front row seat. When Max stretches out, that's one long furr-body.....

I found Gabriola very beautiful and very easy to get around by car or bike. There are so many marked forest hikes and coastal trek opportunities, its hard to count - but equally easy to just chill at the house as I did, more often than not. I mean, all the water, woods and wildlife you could ask for are right there. The village "in town" is small and quaint and I lacked for nothing. The little ferry over to Nanaimo is handy but I certainly didn't need to use it. I so enjoyed my time staying with that handsome furr-ball Max at Eagles' Landing! Do your own research of the island and area and go see Max if invited!

Lezli
My husband and I had a great few nights looking after Charlie and Cheeky. Lesli showed us around before she left for her break and left written instructions as a prompter to make sure we settled in quickly. The cats adjusted to us very well which meant we were able to seamlessly meet their needs. Thank you Lesli for your welcome, generousity and trust in us as we enjoyed your lovely quiet home while caring for the boys.

Barbara
Obi is a love bug of a senior dog! He's happy and gentle, and enjoys cuddling on the couch after a short walk around his beautiful neighborhood. I enjoyed spending a long weekend with Obi at Barbara's comfortable, quiet home in Washington, DC. Please give Obi a gentle pet from me, Barbara. I'll miss him.
