Taylor
Taylor and Adam warmly welcomed us into their home and planned things so that we could meet their dogs and get a briefing on how the house worked.

We spend a wonderful Thanksgiving week with Aneira and Radagast. They are wonderful dogs and we very much enjoyed our time with them. They are good-natured and have the prefect balance of being fun and adventurous on one hand, whilst being well-behaved and attentive on the other. They very much enjoy company and will follow you around the house to hang out with you. They enjoy their romps around the property but don't get up to (too much) mischief. They were a breeze to take care of and we sincerely hope to be able to do so again in the future.

Taylor and Adam have a lovely home, situated well-back from the closest road. Thus it is a quiet haven from the noisy outside world. It has all the conveniences of a modern home and more; it's got an indoor pool for heaven's sake! The kitchen is spacious and practical, the living room is comfortable and bright. Our bedroom, too, was spacious and had its own en-suite.

Their property is situated in a part of upstate New York that we had only ever passed through before. It was well-worth a visit. They are a short jaunt away from Cape Vincent, where Lake Ontario has its outlet feeding the beginning of the Saint Lawrence River. Sackett's Harbour just a bit further south on Lake Ontario's eastern shore is a lovely little town with lots of neat shops and nice eateries. Clayton itself has a lovely waterfront on the Saint Lawrence, decent places to enjoy a bite, and a lovely little bookshop.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time taking care of Aneira and Radagast. We can't recommend highly enough Taylor and Adam has hosts; they are wonderful, the dogs are brilliant, and region is charming. Jump at the chance to take care of these lovely doggies.

Vikki
Charlie and Vikki have a wonderful home, and their dog Trooper is one big shaggy ball of love and fun!

They heard that we'd be in town for a baseball game the day before our sit and invited us to stay with them instead of paying for a hotel. Vikki had already left on her trip, but we found Charlie to be warm and welcoming.

The house has every feature you could ask for, and the pool and hot tub are amazing!

Trooper made friends with us instantly. He absolutely loves playing fetch, and will wear you out if you let him. He is easy going, and easy to care for. He is a big strong dog, so for walks, we would recommend only sitters used to the larger breeds.

Overall, it was a great sit. We enjoyed both the house and Trooper, and would absolutely sit for Charlie and Vikki again!

Well, I just don't know where to start with this housesit, firstly, we absolutely loved it from start to finish in Presteigne, a beautiful part of wales, all the pets were adorable, (apart for Solomon the mad cockerel) Their should of been 3 dogs but the one called Freddie was taken on holiday with Richard and Ruth the pet parents, so, we were left with the other 2 cocker spaniels Millie and Dolly, they was both adorable in their own right, Dolly the oldest at over 14 years of age was a little unsteady on her legs so she only ventured into the garden to do her business and then straight back in again she went, she also will let you know when she wants to go out again but i think the treats they had each time they came back in had a little bit to do with it ha ha, but bless her when she joined in barking with Millie if the postman or delivery man called her barks were a little less harsher, Dolly also slept most of the time on her comfy settee, helped up with steps in place for her to climb up. Millie was the younger adorable cocker spaniel, she was cheeky, playful and loving, she loved her belly rubs and pushed in whey trying to stroke Dolly, she also brings her blanket out of her crate for a game of tug of war with you, they are both very loving, we also put Millie in the car with us when we ventured out in a morning or afternoon, but she did have to go in a crate in the car which wasn't a problem at all, every time we let them both out into the garden, Millie used to make a beeline for the car boot thinking she was being taken out for a ride ha ha.. Their was also 10 ducks which was easy to care for, they was just let out in a morning with feed put out for them then in the evening time they took themselves off to bed around 8 - 8.30 ish then we just closed the garage door up until the next morning , they was free to roam around the gardens, their was also 2 chickens and their mate Solomon the mad cockerel, we let them out in a morning with feed, then in the evening they also took themselves off to bed around the same time and we just closed the door until the next morning, we was advised to carry the yard brush around with us when we went outside just for protection against Solomon because he would chase you if you wasn't aware he was there... Also, 2 Beautiful cats called Ziggy and Narla, they were fed on demand and a dish of food readily available for them to help themselves throughout the day, they both loved their strokes and rubs behind their ears, we did have a problem with Ziggy, he went missing but a neighbour found him in undergrowth so we went to pick him up in the car as it looked like he had been struck by some vehicle, we wrapped towels and a blanket around him but could see he was in a lot of pain, we brought him home and phoned Richard and Ruth straight away to explain what had happened, we took him straight to their vets for a emergency night-time appointment, he had x-rays and was kept in for further investigation as it was serious, poor thing now requires surgery and hopefully it all goes well for Ziggy, we kept Richard and Ruth informed at every stage, you do become very attached during your housesits, as i did find it quite upsetting, I don't think you would be a normal person if things like this didn't affect you and hopefully will be informed of his progress.. Their last pet was a Herman Tortoise, she was a beauty, no trouble at all to look after, we just put her lamp on in a morning with her food and that was it, she had free roam of the house but always stayed in one room hiding behind boxes and bookshelves, so their was no problem at all with her..
Richard and Ruth were lovely, they have a beautiful large home with gardens, vegetable patches, orchids and a field to walk Millie in as they do live in the middle of the country with lots of small lanes that you drive down they made us very welcome, a delicious Victoria sponge cake was made for us to enjoy with a cuppa and I must say it only lasted us 3 days ha ha, we had everything we needed to know written down for us, with itinerary of feeding times, how things worked, where things were etc etc, places nice to eat and enjoy a drink and places to visit, their local village in Presteign was just a 5 minute drive down the lanes, it has lots of little antique shops, a spar shop and one other shop, quaint cafes to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat and nice pubs to go in, we really enjoyed the Sunday carvery in the Radnorshire arms so that's well worth a visit, we visited Ludlow, Leominster, Hay on Wye and Aberystwyth was well worth a visit as well stopping along the way for coffee stops with Millie and calling in at Llandrindog, the scenic drive was amazing with lots of places to visit along the way.
We really enjoyed this housesit for Richard and Ruth and miss Millie and Dolly already as well as Ziggy, and Narla, so thankyou so much for putting your trust in us to look after your fur, feathered and shelled family. We would look forward to future sits for you as well.
So a big thankyou from S&B xx

Quinn and Ken are wonderful people! You are lucky indeed if they choose you to pet sit for them. I loved their kitties, so cuddly and playful. they live in a great location near a park and a short walk to shopping, restaurants and a grocery store. The place itself is beautiful, clean and quiet.
Thank you Quinn and Ken!
