I absolutely loved sitting for Jane! She's got a lovely home in a beautiful area, her dogs are all really sweet and well behaved, and she was always quick to respond to any questions I had before or during the sit.
What can I say? Everything was perfect! First of all, Ruth and her family, so warmly , welcoming and full of attention. Then, Aoife, so friendly, affectionate, obedient, cheerful, intelligent, playful, balanced: in short, a perfect companion for such a wonderful week. To all of this, I would like to add a beautiful and welcoming house, in an area of London so lively and poetic, a succession of sunsets, colors and tides. Thank you Ruth and family for welcoming me, I hope to be able to come back soon!!!
Fantastic stay - Grey is an absolute pleasure to spend time with and I was made to feel really welcome and comfortable- the house is beautiful and peaceful and amazing walks all around - and yummy fresh eggs from the sociable hens! I had a a really lovely time and 100 % recommend 😀
I already miss Barney and Poppet. They were amazing cats: affectionate, semi-independent & vocal when need be, but super easy to care for. Neil and Jade were excellent hosts with great communication and provided tons of recommendations for local activities. And their house was welcoming and provided a quiet space to just hang out. The town is charming and has everything one would need, including trains into Manchester and Liverpool.
Toothy was an absolute joy to look after. So much personality, energy and affection! Loved lots of tummy rubs and attention. She enjoyed short walks in the local park and longer trips alongside the nearby Grand Union Canal as well as exploring the busy Portobello Road Market. Ruth and Stolly were great communicators before/during and after the sit. We were able to make flexible arrangements at the beginning and end of the sit which worked for all of us. Their lovely, characterful home in Queens Park was comfortable to be in and easy walking distance to many local pubs, restaurants and parks. The area is also well-served by a variety of frequent public transport options. Highly recommend this sit.
This sit was just perfect! To start with, Christina was so nice and easy to communicate with from the moment I first applied. Then she and her other half were extra nice, welcoming me to the house, getting some takeaway pizza for me and even offering to get something from the shop if I needed something for breakfast. Watson was the best companion while I was working remotely. Then during the evenings and weekends I took him with me mostly everywhere I went because he is so well behaved. He's a great walker, can go on for long walks and will be up for even more if you want to keep going! Also he does not stop at all during his walks and is very well behaved with other dogs so I was able to keep a very nice pace while walking around beautiful Edinburgh. At home he was very chilled and relaxed and loved to be around me. I took him with me to shops, cafes and in the car and he was always very well behaved. I left him on his own for a few hours a couple of times through my two weeks looking after him and he was equally well behaved when alone in the house. The house is lovely and in a very nice area, close to the centre by walk, with many cafes, takeaways, shops… and many beautiful options for walking from there. Oh by the way, Watson is the best dog for possing for pictures I've met so far. I asked Christina if he was a trained dog model but apparently he's not! I honestly cannot recommend this sit enough. Thanks so much Christina and hope we meet again!
