This was our longest sit so far. Fortunately we had a very comfortable villa and it is very close to the wonderful town of Javea with its glorious beaches and restaurants. There are also fabulous places to eat just a few minutes away. Kita is an adorable dog and very well behaved, she loved to be petted and was very affectionate. After her breakfast and evening meal she’s loves a play with her toys. She was very good when we took her to cafes just lying quietly under the table. We went for walks in the local woods, which are on the doorstep, morning and evening with a local group of dog walkers. We all became good friends. There is a beautiful swimming pool which we swam in each day and a superb outdoor kitchen. There was everything we needed at the villa to make our stay home from home. We arrived at Gillian’s 2 days before they went away, so had plenty of time to get to know Gillian, Hugh & of course Kita. So lots of time to show us the ropes and where everything was. They made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely couple of evenings with them, hearing of their previous travels. On our first few days we had extreme weather, with rain, wind & hail but this soon changed to beautiful sunny days. We had a thoroughly great time & loved looking after Kita.
We shared supper with Sarah & Karl the night before they were due to leave so we enjoyed a lovely evening of conversation. The house and gardens are beautiful and it’s peaceful and quiet. Both blue & Luna treated us as cats do, only really turning up for food. Marmee is a lovely dog but gets quite anxious. She is good at walking on the lead and definitely treat/food orientated. Langley Burrell is a quaint village full of old, beautiful, listed houses. Plenty of lovely walks and gorgeous lush countryside.
