Helena was wonderful to House sit for. She gave very clear and thorough instructions on how to take care of the cats and home. The cats are absolutely adorable and we had a lot of fun playing with them. They all have unique personalities and it was lovely getting to know them all, we will miss them for sure! Erin and Jim are some of the most generous, kind and fun people we've ever met, let alone sat for. When we first spoke to them over zoom we immediately felt like we knew them for a long time and enjoyed talking about the sit responsibilties while also learning about one another. Erin and Jim were rightfully a little nervous to leave two strangers in their newly remodeled house with their elderly cat, but we were so happy they made the decision to welcome us into the home and share Sally with us, because it was an unforgettable two months. Their place is beautifully decorated, has all the modern appliances and is incredibly liveable. Erin and Jim were generous enough to share not only their home but their winter jackets and car with us, since we came directly from Orlando and did not have warm weather gear that's required in the winter time in Colorado. Boulder is an amazing town and everything was within a 7 minute drive from the house. For supermarkets we could quickly hop to Safeway, Ideal market, Wholefoods, Trader Joes. For indoor climbing there were 2 gyms within a 4-7min drive. Trails are so plentiful around us as well, and we felt extremely safe in the neighborhood. Pearl St (the main shopping st) is 7min drive away. Now Sally is an adorable cat. We were a little nervous to look after such an elderly cat, but she is doing great for her age. She loves to follow you around the house and be in your presence. Throughout the afternoon she'd follow the sun and bask. Sometimes she will comeover to be pet and given a snack, but her favorite thing is to watch you cook in the kitchen. Every night before bed, she would cuddle between us in bed which was super cute. We can't reccomend this cat, this house and most of all, these people enough. If Erin and Jim chose you, you've hit the jackpot and we hope we will be able to sit for them again and keep them in our life for a long time. Thanks Erin and Jim for such an amazing time and sharing Sally, your home and your family with us!
Communication with Caroline was excellent from the start and when we had a chance to meet up before the sit, we met Hattie their daughter too. Such interesting people and we really wish we could have spent more time with them! Caroline also made sure we had the Welcome Guide with all the information we needed prior to our sit. The cats were such different personalities - Hyperion who has a luxurious, long coat of fur and the most impressive bushy tail (and possibly some Maine Coon in him) followed us about looking for cuddles and was happy to sit next to you on the couch and Alaska, the gorgeous miniature snow leopard, was always just a blur of silver as he ran past you to safety. The cats were absolutely no bother to look after and spent a lot of time in their secure back garden. Bampton is such a beautiful little village and lovers of Downton Abbey will enjoy the area. Most parts of the Cotswolds are reached in a short car journey and there are picture opportunities aplenty. The house is situated right on the High Street but little noise can be heard from outside. Caroline and Christopher have only recently moved here and Caroline was quite anxious about the renovation work taking place but they had worked tirelessly to ensure we had a lovely bedroom to sleep in and it did not stop us from having a lovely, relaxing time here. Overall, a highly recommended sit!
