We could not have asked for a better introduction to THS. Everything about our stay, the pets and the area was absolutely delightful. Alexa and Mark are incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative. When we arrived for the sit, they had prepared a delicious Sunday lunch for us to share and visit before walking through the house/responsibilities. They have cultivated a beautiful home that is warm and cozy with stunning views over the countryside. Alexa had the house adorned with fresh sweet pea flowers from the garden, which smell wonderful. Our bed was super comfortable, great shower (and bath), very well-equipped kitchen, reliable wifi, good washer and dryer for laundry. Alexa and Mark were always easy to reach and very responsive. But Minnie and Dottie are without a doubt the showstoppers! We will miss these sweet, silly, kind natured girls. They made our job a breeze, both so easy-going. There are LOADS of beautiful walks from their doorstep – nature preserves, open fields, woodland, canals, and quiet country roads. A short 10min drive away is Coombe Gibbet with sweeping views of the English countryside, which the girls love. Minnie and Dottie are expert car riders and rockstar bath takers! We actually really enjoyed bathing them. Great pub companions, indoors and out, we enjoyed a plethora of lovely area pubs with them. To note are definitely the local watering hole - The Crown & Garter (walking distance) and The Crown Inn in Upton, a 20min drive but the food is spectacular, don’t miss this place! Inkpen in a lovely village with lovely people, they could not have been more kind and welcoming. Meg showed us some nice walks in the area and had us over for tea, she is fabulous! Don and Jan down the street sell delicious honey that their bees produce. Don invited us over to suit up and meet the 60,000+ bees of one of his colonies, awesome experience! Ivy and Michael, directly next door and wonderful, invited us to a summer party they had where we enjoyed meeting more of the locals. We felt incredibly blessed to share in Alexa and Mark’s little slice of heaven in the Berkshire countryside.
This is such a peaceful property with big windows surrounded by trees with a serene stream in the back yard. Kenobi is the sweetest Golden Doodle and very well trained. We miss him already! I met Kristen prior to the sit and she's so friendly and kind. The house is beautiful, recently renovated and has such a relaxed vibe. There is also many nature trails behind the property and a short drive to the grocery store etc. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend applying.
Kathy has a beautiful home and an extremely loving crew. I had such a great time caring for Max, Joey and Marley. Kathy was excellent and responsive every time I had a question or concern. This house is lovely and the neighborhood is friendly, calm and safe. What a great experience here, thank you Kathy!
I loved housesitting for Sophie. I originally went there for 3 months and ended up extending my stay because I loved it there. Gavin is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet, he's super calm and very wise, and he loves belly rubs! : ) Sophie also had 5 cats: Lulu, Minette, Pirate, Rapid, and Biscuit. All of them have their own character for sure. They were an easy bunch to look after, they love your company and want to be near you most of the time time. Whenever I went outside to do garden work or see the donkey and the sheep, they would follow too. It was kind of nice as it can get a bit lonely there if you're alone, so I liked the company they kept me. Sophie also had a sheep and a donkey, Lockey, and Nino. This was a new experience for me and I learned a lot. These animals are so clever, they have their own characters and they totally read your body language and your energy, and respond accordingly. Both a little cheeky and sometimes naughty, getting to look after them was a great experience. You learn to get to know them after some time and you learn their behavior patterns and as you get used to them and they to you, you'll have your own relationship with them. Sophie's home is a wonderful place. Lots of space, very cozy and beautiful. Sophie herself is one of the kindest, coolest women I've met! She was very welcoming and stayed with me for several days in the beginning to show me everything about the house and the animals. She took me around the area, showed me the nearby towns, where to get everything I needed, and even introduced me to many of her local friends so I wouldn't feel alone and would know who to contact if I ever needed any help. She was available via Whatsapp and phone whenever I had questions. I felt very welcomed and looked after the whole time I was there. I enjoyed the peace and quiet, the surrounding area is just gorgeous. It's a perfect place for those who love nature, living in peace and quiet and looking after the animals. With the animals, the house, and the garden, you do have quite a bit to do, but nothing too much. It's just like looking after your own home and animals, keeping things clean and tidy, and making sure the furry gang is fed, looked after and healthy. I loved the experience as having my own farm one day with animals and lots of land is one of my dreams and being there gave me a taste of that. A big thank you to Sophie for this opportunity ❤
Nice pet family with everything ready for these cute fur babies! Family of snuggling puppies and warm affectionate cats. Safe little community with friendly people in the area who knew the cute little girl dogs as I walked them. Alana and Art are a friendly couple who love their pets! They welcomed me and even invited me to stay a day later if I needed, very sweet. Yes I recommend this pet Family for your next sit in East L.A. !
We had a wonderful time looking after Zak and Rocko in Jenny and Clive's lovely rural property in Wiltshire. It's extremely easy to walk the dogs from the house in fields. There are also many more walks you can access with a car. Zak and Rocko are very well behaved and well trained and we had no problems with them whatsoever. This is an interesting area with lots to see and do. Everything was really well prepared, with a very comprehensive home book that made things go very smoothly. We ❤️ Fur Your Pets! Erica and Cody are the best, not only at taking care of your furkids, but genuinely caring for your pets. They came out today to help us look for our dog who had gotten out this morning; I was near tears when they offered to stop by and look for him. We found him and it just cements my 100% trust in Erica and Cody in caring for our dog, Petey, every day.

As a new dog owner and searching for a sitter to care for my dog,’it was a long and difficult process. Places like hotels would just make my dog think I abandoned him. But, I found Fur Pets and spoke with them about my dog’s anxieties. A meet up was scheduled and they knew exactly how to approach my dog. Consistent bi-weekly walks are scheduled and when we went out of town for a week, my dog was walked and looked in on daily with no problems. Now he returns home from his walks happy and proud of himself! Definitely, would recommend this service for pet sitting.
I have used Fur Your Pets, Erica, twice now and each time I remind myself to write a review! Well, the first time I met Erica, she came to the house to meet my Basset Hound and Shih Tzu - I have never seen Sam, the Basset take to someone outside his family so quickly, he absolutely LOVES Erica. We have also dubbed her the "Sam Whisperer" as she can get him to take medicine like no one else!! (lol). Erica stayed at the house for a weekend that I had to go out of town. She sent pictures often and when I came home, the two fur family members were so relaxed and happy! Well, Sam, was sad that she left, but that's good, too! Erica is very, very trustworthy and takes great care of animals. She even did other things like water the plants outside and things like that! It was wonderful. It's the very first time I had someone in my home for a weekend to watch the dogs that wasn't family and it was absolutely no issue at all. :) The second time was when I had to go out of town just for the day and it was kind of last minute, but Erica came through!! Sam was so happy to see her as well. My Shih Tzu also loves her. Anyway, I just have to tell you all that I would trust Erica in my home, with my pets any time!!! She is absolutely wonderful! Update - I still use Fur Your Pets and Erica - she is family to my Bassett Hound, Shih Tzu, and 2 very large cats... they love her!!!

The absolute best! We get pictures at every visit and updates. They take our packages in. Easy to schedule, almost always available when we need it. Our older dog needed medication and the occasional accident and they were great with dealing with that. Can’t say enough great things about them. It’s super hard to trust your home and pet to someone and when we found them it was such a huge weight off us to have someone we trust.
My husband & I went away for a one week vacation and left our two dogs with Erica and Cody. We received daily updates with pictures and our fur babies were well taken care of. Fur your pets is the most professional and trustworthy pet sitters you will ever find. I went through a ton of sitters and some were fine, some were awful, but Fur your pets was way above what anyone could expect. I felt very comfortable leaving my babies with Erica snd entrusting her with my house. I have never been able to feel totally comfortable leaving my pups with anyone. With Fur your pets, I literally felt zero worry. I didn’t think this could ever happen or that a company like this even existed… but it does. My dogs were happy, loved and snuggled. The directions I gave were followed perfectly ( even though we don’t expect perfection) and Erica was great at dealing with my elderly dog who needed meds and special considerations. I got lots of pics of my happy smiling dogs. Professional, compassionate, communicative, reliable and so so easy to work with. Erica was extremely observant and asked about any behavior in the dogs that she thought might be different than usual. My experience was 100% perfect. I feel like this is the holy grail of dog sitters, and… they are just really nice humans too.
Erica offered me great peace of mind through my two-week vacation. I have an old cat, Cyril, who needs daily medication. A few weeks before my trip, he had some appetite issues and had his dosage upped to twice a day. I'm always a bit anxious to leave Cyril for a long period of time, and especially so under the circumstances. With Erica, I quickly felt comfortable knowing that Cyril was being well looked after. During each pop-in visit, she was perceptive in monitoring his food intake and sent me many pictures so I could see how he was feeling every day. We worked together to adjust the details of his care based on what she was noticing. Erica also worked to make a genuine connection with Cyril, and within a week, my shy kitty went from seeing her as the scary meds lady to giving her his belly to rub. (Pictures from her last visit are attached!) I came home to find that my skinny boy had even successfully gained weight under Erica's care! I couldn't be happier about the care Cyril received while I was gone. I highly recommend Erica @ Fur Your Pets.
It is so nice when your dog loves vacation as much as you do! We never feel guilty leaving our guy here. All we have to do is say "doggy hotel" and he runs to the door ready to go. We have also used ACE for medical boarding when we couldn't avoid leaving him while he was recovering from surgery. He was well cared for and he came back happy as can be. I've recommended ACE to many people.
Bowzer and Zelda had been coming here for day care and grooming. They love it! Savanna the groomer is amazing and had been doing such a great job on both challenging breeds of ours, the grooming charge is also very reasonable. Love the report card touch too!
Crate Escape is a great place for your dog to make friends (human and canine), socialize, and feel safe. I liked this facility so much I drove from north Austin to Round Rock to take her there. Unfortunately, my dog is losing her eyesight and is now almost completely blind, so I don't feel like she enjoys time with other dogs anymore. If I get a new dog Crate Escape will certainly be on the list of places for it to play.
We have had great experiences at A Crate Escape. We have a 4 year old Goldendoodle that has bad anxiety when away from us. The staff here knows he needs more human interaction when he’s there and he’s always well taken care of.

The staff here is always friendly and helpful! I am so glad we found Crate Escape. They treat my dog as if she was their own. They also send daily report cards for boarding with photos included to give updates on how your pet is doing. 10/10 recommend :)
This is the nicest state of the art home away from home for your pets. Beautiful facility with roomy quarters, large covered outdoor play areas with baby pools for your dog to play in. They offer grooming and training classes. They are also set apart because they are veterinarian owned and provide medical boarding for post surgical recovery and special needs pets. Do yourself a favor and go visit in person. You'll be glad you did!
I called from Spring, TX early Friday morning. We had been wo power from the hurricane since Monday! We needed a place for our dogs to be with ac. They were at capacity for doggie daycare, but once I explained how miserable my poor dogs were I was placed on a quick hold and was then told they would make room to accommodate them. We are so grateful to A Crate Escape for taking in our dogs and giving them some relief from the heat. Thank you to the staff that had compassion for our doggies. We are grateful for their kindness and compassion!

Their scheduling process is simple (and online), the range of services are thoughtful (and the people performing them are trained and caring), and the digital "report cards" are so helpful (for owners). I want to recommend Ollie's Pet Sitting! We needed a new pet sitter, and I saw so many good reviews of Ollie's that I decided to give them a try. Ileene responded quickly to my email. Jody and Sarah came to our house to meet our dog and talk to us about the services they provide. I was impressed that they had paperwork with just about every possible situation accounted for. We needed someone to stay overnight at our house for 4 days. Jody came back again before our trip to go over everything we needed her to take care of, and to spend a little time with our senior Chihuahua. Jody is really great with our little barky boy, and she texted me pictures and videos so we could see how he was doing while we were gone. She took in the mail and turned the outdoor lights on/off for us, and offered to take the trash out on garbage day. She even left a little Halloween treat for Lucky. We felt very comfortable trusting Jody with our pup and our home, and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again.
Ilene cared for our dog, a gentle giant and our aging cat for almost 6 years across many short weekends and a few week-long vacations. Scheduling was easy, pricing perfectly aligned with the service, and our every instruction followed. When returning, our home was always tidied in some way and our dog and cat were relaxed, properly fed, and clearly never anxious during our absence.
Ollie’s been cat sitting for our pets for about 3 years. We have two Orange tabbies who adore her. She’s worked hard to build a relationship with our pets! Ollie has been the most reliable pet sitter we've ever had. She takes great care of our little dudes. She treats them like they are her own pets! She came highly recommended to us from other people in our neighborhood when we first moved here from central Austin. She not only watches the cats, but brings in the mail, takes out trash, waters plants and keeps an eye on our home while we are away. Her pricing is very reasonable and we feel very comfortable having her in our home while we travel. She has cared for our the cats while we’ve been on trips lasting from a few days all the way to a full two weeks. My experience with Laurel's Leash has been amazing. Her knowledge about dogs & their behavior is impressive and she's extremely personable & responsive. Both of my dogs have very different personalities & she was able to work with them individually with a variety of techniques to get the desired outcome with each. We also had some initial challenges with introducing a new puppy to our older dog & Laurel helped tremendously with their interactions as well as easing my mind during the process. I've also used Laurel's Leash for dog sitting a number of times and it's always been a great experience. 100% Recommend Laurel for any dog training or care needs.
I love Laurel's Leash. I know whenever I leave my little dog with Laurel she will be looked after, kept happy and loved. Laurel is very good at what she does and the dogs thrive with her. She is an excellent dog trainer and is an even better people trainer. I am able to work with my dog with Laurel's advice and some of her bad habits have been replaced with good behaviors. I enjoy the frequent pictures Laurel posts on Facebook. It is a handy way for me to check-in. The communication is very good and I have come to trust that I don't need worry when I'm away.
Laurel has been a lifesaver for our family. We first reached out to Laurel's Leash and The Dog House barding for training advice for our puppy. With Laurel's guidance two first time dog owners managed to raise a well behaved and fun loving puppy. When we leave town the Dog House is the only place we trust to take care of our pup. Laurel is an amazing dog trainer - and she's hilarious and fun to boot! Laurel has helped me with my Cairn Terrier, Teddy, who has some leash reactivity issues. With her help, he's getting to the point where he's almost like a "normal" dog when we take him for walks, haha. We've also some agility training with Laurel and our mini Aussie, Beau, and we've had both the dogs board with her for short time periods. Laurel's Leash is great!
I have a petite 13 yr old boxer who Laurel watch one weekend in October of 2018. As soon as we first walked into the door we were greeter with a huge smile and warm welcome. My dog was instantly comfortable and Laurel’s friendly and positive energy was contagious. Received regular updates on my pet while in her care which made me feel relaxed that my pooch was not only in good care but was also being spoiled with extra pats and attention. I've known Laurel for a long time and she is just excellent with my two big dogs. They just love her! Each dog has a different personality and she knows how to adjust to each personality. Laurel’s Leash is a wonderful place for my Border Collie. She’s great about sending pictures or videos of the fun time my dog is having. She is so knowledgeable of the various breeds and what their personalities are like. I have learned so much from her about obedience. She genuinely loves dogs and taking care of them!

There is so much comfort knowing both my girls are always very well taken care of when we drop them off at The Doghouse. They go in super happy and come home super tired which is awesome! When I first started looking for a place for my 2 pups to go when we are out of town, I wanted a place that would feel like they were at home without being home. The Doghouse is perfect for them because they get to wander inside and outside as they please and sleep in their crates at night. To know they are not trapped in a kennel all day long makes this mama’s heart happy. Thank you Laurel for loving the crazies!
Sweet Kelly was our Pet Gal while we were out of the country, and I cannot sing her praises enough! We were worried about our sweet kitty, Willow, becoming lonely while we were gone. Kelly did an excellent job of taking care of our girl. She played with Willow & her favorite toys, kept her litter area nice and clean for her, and ensured she was well fed and happy. The Pet Gal did a superb job in caring for my cats during a week-long vacation. This was the first time using The Pet Gal. They have a robust online system with that makes setup and communication a breeze. Our very anxious lab mix was pretty stubborn at first wanting to stay hidden under the bed but Chelsea persevered and won her over in a big way. Was gone over two weeks so was a little worried about how my dogs would do but the daily pictures and friendly updates eased my mind. They received great care and were all healthy and happy when I got back even think my house was cleaner then when I left. Had several sitters visit so want to thank them all but big thank you to Clare, Suzy and Katie who I think visited the most. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have 4 Pugs, who are our "fur babies", as most are to their humans. When our son moved away, we no longer had a "reliable" dog-sitter etc. We took a chance on The Pet Gal and we are so glad we did. We love the fact that they notify you once they have arrived, provide texts if/when they have questions while at your home and notify again once they are leaving AND provide pics of your babies to show they are all well. I like that they use a lockbox for the door so you never have to worry about leaving extra keys-other than the one in the lockbox. They are Bonded and thus far, we've noticed they only seem to hire true animal lovers....so it's more than "just a job".... We have now taken several long vacations and we feel comfortable and not stressed so we can truly enjoy our time away. Give The Pet Gal a shot.. you won't be disappointed!

Our pup Ollie had his Meet and Greet and first day this week, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the environment and professionalism of the staff. The webcams make it easy to check in during the day, and the staff took great care of Ollie while he was in. Ollie was exhausted from all of the play when he got home, and I could tell that he had fun. Looking forward to more daycare visits soon! I highly recommend this location.
The staff always greets us with a smile and a friendly greeting when we first arrive. Before checking in our dog, they are always cheerful, kind, and genuinely curious about how our day is going. The staff is really good at keeping an eye on the play area and making sure all the dogs are enjoying themselves safely. Additionally, we've had our dog trimmed here twice, and I now highly recommend the groomer. She doesn't kennel the other animals while she waits to work on the next one because she is so patient with them. She grooms each animal with such gentleness, which is very admirable. This dog daycare is highly recommended by me because of their excellent care and service. Repositioning the cameras to make the full play area viewable instead of just a section would be one enhancement suggestion. Pet owners would feel much more at ease with this minor adjustment.
It’s okay. The webcam is the best feature and you can ensure that your pup is safe and in an air-conditioned area. I feel if they played relaxing music and had toys for the pups their experience would be much better. Also, if the staff could sit and talk or read to the pups then alternate cleaning the area that would be even better!!!
Dogtopia is the best place ever for boarding and doggy daycare. 3 years bringing Nina and Mono here and they are treated amazing. Ben, Michael and the rest of the crew are amazing!
We’ve been bringing our dog here for over three years for daycare and boarding. They take such good care of her, and it always feels like all their staff knows her personally. It makes it really easy when we have to go out of town.
I cannot recommend Dogtopia enough! I traveled to RR for the past week & needed a spot to take our dog who is very used to daily daycare/play dates. I was nervous about finding a place I could trust being far from home. Dogtopia was exactly that & MORE. The staff is so incredibly kind, welcoming & knowledgeable. It’s well kept & much cleaner than most doggy play areas. I love the ability to watch the live feed through the user friendly app. Our dog was well taken care of & absolutely exhausted from his “vacation” while we are traveling for work. I certainly wish we had a Dogtopia where we lived but if we ever return to the area we will absolutely be back!
DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE. My husband picked up & brought the dogs home after a weekend stay at Dogtopia & immediately I noticed this injury on his nose. I called & asked why we were failed to be informed about his injury & all they did was suggest we board him in the more expensive suite next time. So the standard of care goes down because we didn’t choose the most expensive option??? I will never bring them back here ever again.
I put my two puppies in a suite, we had to go out of town for several days. My dogs have never been boarded before. I have a nine year old chihuahua who isn’t comfortable around other dogs and a larger fox terrier who is very docile. They put the two puppies in the same play room together where the chihuahua could be next to her sister when she felt anxious. Both puppies did well, I did watch the cameras like crazy, but the staff in charge were awesome with them and they fit in quickly. Highly recommend them!!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Everyone that we've met is so friendly. I can watch my pup on an app while he's there and I always receive a report card letting me know how he did. The best part? He has so much fun running around and being loved on by the staff that he sleeps for a whole day after. Thank you for giving me a break from my energetic pup!
I bring my dog here all the time, everyone is very patient and kind to her, even though she's a little bit of a stubborn butthead. They have many awesome spa options, I love all their shampoos, and they always do a great job on her nails.
Been taking my baby to Sarah’s for two years I think, if not more. Brie is always happy to be cared for by Sarah and happy when I pick her up as well. Flexible within reason for time or date changes. 10/10 recommend
Sarah’s the only person I trusted to watch my cat, Boogie. He had diabetes and required testing and insulin shots. She recognized any unusual behavior that required extra attention and would make me aware. She would send pictures and keep in good communication. When he was boarded with Sarah, she would set up an area so he felt safe. Usually cats don’t like new places, but he liked going to Sarah’s to sunbathe. She would also set up cat tv for him to watch! Sarah even groomed him sporatically and took him for walks in his stroller. She went above and beyond for my kitty. Highly recommend Sarah for your pet care needs!
We met Sarah a few years back and since then her place has always been our dogs’ home away from home ❤️ They always have a good time whenever they go for an overnight stay with her. Sarah would send photos of what they’re doing and if asked, would also give them a bath and trim their nails. We’re truly grateful to have met Sarah and we know our dogs are super happy too to have found a friend in Ginger 😊
Sarah is incredible- I rest easy knowing my dogs and my home are well taken care-of when she watches them. She shares pics & videos so I can stay updated while we’re away. The dogs have the best time with her, and we come home to a clean house (& clean pups thanks to her grooming services)! Could not recommend her more highly!
My friend recommended S&G when I moved to the Austin area. Sarah has been such a huge blessing over the last year. My schedule is pretty unpredictable and I’m constantly traveling for work. Sarah has been so accommodating - whether that’s coming by to walk my dog or my dog stays with her for a few days. My dog always gets so excited to see her and Ginger. If you want a peace of mind when you travel for work, vacation, or just when you’re gone for the day, having Sarah in your life will be what you need. We are in Austin on vacation with our pups, we wanted to do a few things that were not pet friendly so we needed to find a doggie daycare. The Firehouse pet resort was definitely a great choice. Everyone there was awesome, they gave our pups the attention they needed (and a little extra!) Would highly recommend them to anyone in need of care for their fur babies.
I've been going to Firehouse for a few years now, I'm not sure what took me so long to add a review. I absolutely LOVE their team. I was taking my newly adopted kitty, Tapi, to them and was trying to diagnose what was wrong with her, and it turned out she had cancer. It is a horrific phone call to receive, but it is so comforting to know the doctors cared about her. When we came in to help her pass, Dr. Moreman and Dr. Davies were both there and their words were beyond comforting. The vet tech, I'm so sorry I forgot her name, stayed with us the whole time as well. Though it was challenging, it was so much easier to go through. Then our corgi recently was diagnosed with IVDD and we had the wonderful help of Dr. Garza to help us fully understand what was happening and how to help her through it. She then recommended acupuncture with Dr. Tran and we saw a difference in her healing after every appointment. They saw all of my tears and were extremely comforting. I have seen most of their vets and I can tell you with my whole heart that I absolutely trust them with my pets. ❤️
As an r+ certified dog trainer, this is the only boarding facility I trust in north Austin. They typically go above and beyond and have the utmost safety practices for each dog. The staff are friendly, and the peace of mind from knowing the animal hospital is next door is priceless.
I really wanted to love this place since I use the vet services and am happy with that. However, my pup came home damp and smelling like urine and I was charged $45 dollars for a nail trim! That is more than it costs for daycare! I should have been told what the cost would be ahead of time if you're going to charge outrageous prices like that for a nail trim. I will take responsibility for not asking though and just assuming it would be like every other boarding facility I've taken my pups to. The most I've ever been charged for a nail trim is between $15-25. That was very disappointing. Not to mention the fact that I had to bathe him when I got home because of the urine smell. Other boarding facilities that I have been pleased with usually wipe down your pet before they release them to you. I did give 3 stars though because my pup seemed happy when I picked him up and the staff seemed friendly enough. I just think there needs to be some changes implemented before I say I would bring my pup back here again for daycare or boarding.
I want to express my gratitude to the Firehouse pet resort and veterinarian staff for taking care of my baby Dotty. Dotty stayed with them for 2 weeks. This was our first time with this place, I did not know what to expect. I was anxious. However, all my concerns very addressed and she was well taken care of. They even cooked special food for her as she refused to eat. Thank you!
Update: Firehouse has made great efforts in making this situation right. The manager reached out and promised they are working to make the next stay better. I am happy to know that they care to make it right. Looking forward to seeing this new department grow. Original review: Really hoped this place would have been better since it is associated with our vet. We still love our vet and will stay with firehouse but there needs to be some major adjustments to the kennel! Both our pets can home filthy ( backsides covered in fecal matter) beds too. It took 40 mins to check in and 40mins to check out. They had to retrieve our stuff (beds/food/snacks) a blanket that was never given to our cold pup and bones safe for the kennel that were never given.. they were still in their package. Didn’t give dental bones and pretty positive by the dried Fecal matter on both the backside and on one of the beds that wasn’t washed yet was extremely dry and was clearly there for several days. I plan to make a personal phone call to notice management but I would like to do it in person because I feel it’s needed. My wife cried when she got home and our oldest small dog lost her voice for … going on 3 days now. I want people to know and I think it’s important to get this out there ASAP ! I still stand by the vet but I will not stand by this kennel operation I think it has great potential but it definitely needs a new management or some sort of organization skills. Extremely unorganized .
I love this resort for my fur babies! Not only did they take excellent care of my really energetic doggo (she came home exhausted) the entire process was a breeze! The staff are nothing short of superb, you can tell they love their jobs and love the animals. Worth every penny in my opinion. They were also able to take on my dog on super short notice, I was on my way there, during the snowpocalypse last week. I couldn’t say enough good thing about this place. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for both day car and boarding in the future. Thank you y’all for taking such good care of my baby!!

I take my little monster here once or twice a year; he always seems to enjoy himself and is healthy and happy at pickup. I use the vet too, and it’s nice that they are in the same area.

Otto our boxer recently stayed with Shady Acres over the weekend while we were out of town and he had a great time! We are so thankful Shady Acres was able to accommodate our last minute request to board him. We will definitely be back soon for daycare and more boarding! They made the process so easy and helped us during a very stressful time considering our prior boarding facility canceled our reservation 4 days before our trip, at no fault of our own after 11 years of sending multiple dogs there. We are super thankful we found a new and safe environment for Otto to play and stay! He came home exhausted and super clean! Thank you Shady Acres!
We boarded our dogs there from 12/26-12/31, so during the busy holiday season. They are always very responsive over text which is always great/easy to receive updates and the staff was very friendly when we went in for evaluation. There was a miscommunication over billing (which was primarily my fault) and they refunded us even though they didn’t need to, and more than they needed to as the issue was again primarily my fault. They did it quickly and with a friendly note. I’d definitely board with them again off their customer service alone, especially during a really busy period. Thanks Shady Acres!
We absolutely loved our experience with Shady acres pet Ranch. We dropped our German Shepherd off for a three week training with Ashleigh and he came back a new dog. He’s doing wonderful at home. Ashleigh sent us multiple updates per week as well as pictures and videos of his training progress. We were able to visit and practice training with him in between, he really enjoyed their dog pool and we got to see what he was learning in real time. Would highly recommend!
Love this place, and more importantly my golden comes back home happy every time he’s stayed here. I used to board Simba at Action Pack in Round Rock, but they got too greedy for me, their staff changed too often and their service went to d0g$. I am so glad I found an even better environment for a competitive price and within 10 mins drive from home. Shady acres as long as Simba comes back with a smile, you have a loyal customer in me 🙏🙏🙏
My dog had diarrhea when taken home. Based on comments of staff my pet appeared as if she was going to snap at other dogs. My pet goes to the dog park and never has a problem. I then asked if my dog had outside time and staff indicated they did the best they could. When picking up my pet it took staff 20 minutes to find her. Very scary. This was a 6 day boarding stay. Provided 6 bags of food and they returned 4. Not impressed.
Non favorable admin changes. I boarded my dogs several times in this facility and I was always happy until this time. They usually fed them separately at no cost and this time they charged us an additional fee which was not in the first quote or on its website. They told me when I was there ready to go to the airport. What option do you have on that moment? Secondly, they used to send a full report about their interactions and behavior during their stay but this time the card was updated the date they arrived and with less information. How do I know how they were during the whole stay? In addition, there were no post on IG, no picture no web cam working. For the amount they charge, I would expect to know how my dogs were. The only reason I would come back is because I had good experience in the past and I just wish this new administration takes notice that what put them in business is the good service they used to have. If you are a frequent client, be aware of these greedy changes.
Last two times I have picked up my dog here he has been an absolute mess. This most recent time after Christmas was probably the worst he has ever smelled. He smelled like a toilet. This was after they "bathed him" before releasing him. He never has accidents at home or when he stays with friends so to say he had an accident on himself tells me he either got the wrong food or he is not being let outside enough.
2016 - 2018: We average a week several times a year. They love it. Also, and this so adorable, they give you a report card. I love that and I send it to my friends and family. They also have grooming. I have them bathe my dogs on the last day. The staff is very friendly and are genuinely interested in the dogs. They don’t have a lot of turn over, so when we drop them off our dogs recognize the staff. I feel totally secure about their well-being and happiness. 2018 - 2021: Sadly one of our dogs, Bear, got hit by a car and passed away. Riley took it really hard. About a week later we traveled and left Riley with them. I felt terrible about it, but they sent me photos of him having fun. I very much appreciated their thoughtfulness. We’ve boarded Riley many times since. 2021 - present: I’ve had good luck being able to board him kinda last minute, but I’m sure to book him as soon as I know our plans. I’ve even booked him months in advance.
Great service and care. My dog has a blast every time he's at Shady Acres. You can tell how the staff takes care of pets like they're their own. I've been taking my fur baby here for the last two years and we keep coming back! Highly recommended!
We just had our first playtime at Shady Acres and Peanut Butter LOVED it! He was SO HAPPY when I picked him up and he was SO TIRED in the evening after a long day of playing with new pup-friends. I really liked the daily sheet that came home with him, too! We are new in town and are so happy to find a place like Shady Acres for our pup. We will definitely be regulars!
When I drop my two dogs off at Green Acres Pet Ranch I know they’re going to have a great time and be well taken care of. Green Acres is a dog heaven with multiple large open areas for the dogs to run around and play all day, and separate individual sleeping areas. The prices are very competitive especially considering all the services provided. Michael is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and really cares about the safety and well-being of all the dogs. I added the dog wash option and they were all clean when I picked them up, even at 8 in the morning. I would highly recommend Green Acres Pet Ranch.

When I pick up my 10-month old large-breed energetic puppy (50 lbs.) at the end of the day she’s ready for a nap! She loves playing with other dogs here and Michael has been very accommodating. He’s a great caregiver of my pup!
From the moment I contacted Michael he was very responsive and informative. He told me exactly how to register my dog and was able to bring our pup in for an evaluation day the next day. Michael is a very nice guy and you can see how much he loves the dogs. I love that this dog boarding is outdoors. It really gives a chance for our pup to play all day and tire her out. She came back home happy and exhausted. We will be returning as often as we can and we will be boarding our pup there soon. The best part about Green Acres is that it’s a one price fits all. You don’t have to pay extra to get group play time, outside walks, etc. very happy to have met Michael and I highly recommend Green Acres.
I’ve been bringing my 12 year old Weim to Green Acres for boarding a few years now and have always had great experiences. Michael looks after the dogs like they are his own which I really appreciate, especially now as our dog needs special attention in her old age. I would highly recommend Green Acres for those looking for dog boarding options.

When I returned from our trip, my dogs were so exhausted from their stay that when we returned home, they slept most of the day. They had the best time! I booked their next boarding stay for our next trip. I trust Green Acres to take care of my dogs for all future trips!

I was nervous about leaving my dog here but Michael assured me all would be well. I visited the property for an evaluation and his knowledge and operations of the grounds put my mind at ease. He can separate the dogs into different fenced in areas depending on size and temperament. We will absolutely be back!
My dog Ranger is a high-energy pup. Today he got to experience doggy daycare at Green Acres, and he had a great time playing outside with other dogs all day. You can tell that the owner and proprietor Michael really loves dogs and makes sure that they get everything they need when they stay on the ranch. I was looking for a place for my daughter’s dog to go while she was at work to burn some energy. Green Acres has been awesome for her. Michael really cares for the dogs as his own. There is a lot of land for her to run and play with other dogs. She comes home wiped out. Even on the second day she is still laid back. She used to dig in the back yard and since attending there, she no longer digs. We are very grateful for a place like this for her.
Harley absolutely loves going to Hip Hounds! The staff is great and have taken very good care of my baby. It is so nice knowing he is in good hands when I drop him off everyday. They have been such a huge blessing for us!
We have been using Hip Hounds for a few months now and our dog seems to enjoy his time there. He is happy when we get there and we can see him through the webcams playing throughout the day. I also liked that they evaluated our less social dog and declined to accept her. It shows me that they do their homework to make sure that all dogs they take in are going to be a good fit.
This review is not easy to write, I’d been avoiding it for a long time, but I need to comment on what happened to us. I wish I could be like many with a good review. Unfortunately, my review is tragic considering the circumstances we have been through. We boarded our two girls in December 2023, the day we arrived to pick them up the staff at Hip Hounds realized our girls were not at the facility. Some how they got out and frantic search ensued. We managed to recover one of them, but the other went missing. It’s now been 11 months later, and we still don’t know what happened to her. We hold on to hope that she is being cared for by someone and will continue to offer a reward to reunite with her. We have tried to come to an amicable resolution with Hip Hounds for our missing pet, but we are far apart on an agreement. We hope a judge through the court system can bring closure to our situation. I never would have imagined this could happen. You expect that when you drop your pet off, you will be able to pick them up later. In our case that was not the situation, I hope this never happens to anyone. As you may guess, I will not be boarding at this facility ever again.
This place is perfect for our Australian cattle dog/blue heeler. We love that they don't crate and rotate. He comes home fully exercised and happy. When we board him, he sleeps all day the day we bring him home. If you have a high energy dog or just don't want to pay for intermittent naps, this is your spot.
We were taking our dog consistently here for several months for boarding while my husband and I would go out of town. We kept getting complaints from the staff that our dog was being "grumpy" and experiencing some behavioral issues with other dogs. This was really surprising to us, as he had never had these issues before. The feedback from the staff is that we were boarding him for too long (5-7 days. not a huge ask for a boarding facility.) One incident caused us to end our relationship with them entirely where our dog was accused of biting an employee. After pressing, the footage was reviewed and it was revealed that our dog simple gave a warning growl and a nip in the general direction of the attendant. This broke our hearts, as our dog has never exhibited behavior like that before. He's three years old and we've had him since he was a puppy. Now, we take our dog to Taurus where, magically, they have NO problems with him and are CONFUSED when we ask about him biting, growling, or nipping. It's clear to me that Hip Hounds simple doesn't sort dogs out if they're tired, fatigued, or have been there for a few days. I also have had heard complaints about dogs returning home with bites and scratches. For short term stays, maybe this place works but if they can't accommodate long-term boarding, they shouldn't advertise it.
I have been bringing one of my dogs for 3 years here, recently added a newcomer to the family. 10/10 experience every time. If you’re looking for a locally owned, doggy first business, this is it. The dogs have so much free time to play and socialize, it doesn’t feel heavy on the heart dropping them off like it would at a traiditional dog daycare where you pay for 15 min of play time. love love love. thanks Mr. Michael!
I've been taking my pups to Hip Hounds for over 10 years. My dogs love it, and I feel so much better knowing that they are with Micheal's team. Now there's Sarah, who's been able to groom my delicate husky shepherd that fears the dryer and everything really. He literally knocks on the door in the morning when we arrive. She also really takes care of my elder pup and works with his limitations. It's the only thing I could have asked for, and they have grooming now.
We have used Hip Hounds for years and have had only a great experience. We feel secure knowing our dogs are in good hands while we are away. They also offer grooming services during the stay which is super convenient.
Our dog loves going to play with all his friends at Hip Hounds. He literally starts to cry as we get close and can’t wait to get inside. Everyone there is friendly and kind to the dogs who visit. Love you Hip Hounds!!
