Such a treat to stay at Stephen's home in Healdsburg with the fabulous Francois! The home is a relaxed, tranquil elegance and the pictures don't do in justice. It's casual, but upscale with a nourishing, relaxed vibe. The location and views are fabulous, and it was lovely to partake in local activities like the farmer's market, hiking and concerts in the park. I didn't want the sit to end, and frankly didn't feel the need to go anywhere as the deck and view offered a vacation feel. Francois is an awesome cat - curious by nature with tons of personality and just the right amount of spunk, socialness and independence. He loves to hang near you and is very sweet and well behaved... and the auto feeder etc makes it super easy. While Stephen and I didn't meet, communication was fantastic even though he was in Asia, and he's very easy going and accommodating. The hot tub is a huge plus too and this sit would appeal to anyone. Can't wait to go back!
I highly recommend doing a housesit with Carolyn. Her house is in a great location in Madison and there is a bus stop right outside her house if you need it. Carolyn has a great eye for detail and her house is electic, warm and inviting. She has filled it with many items from her past travels. She also had great communication before and during the trip. Mo and Kuma were so loving and easy to sit for! They were the best roomates I could ask for!
Linda & Simon are awesome!! They’re so fun, chilled, down to earth and so very welcoming & Daisy & Elsie are the sweetest, intelligent, most affectionate kitties you’ll ever wish to meet. Linda & Simon even helped me with my luggage from the bus stop, back to their beautiful home, which was over and above and so kind of them. I arrived the evening before for a handover as they were leaving early the next day, and had the most amazing home-cooked dinner thanks to Linda’s great culinary skills! I had such a fab time, so fun & relaxing, the village and surroundings are beautiful. Thank you for such a fab experience!
Boots, Purdy, Mitsy and Tinks were absolutely delightful and well behaved. Boots and Purdy are energetic, playful and affectionate Pointers and enjoyed racing about Jonathon and Kates extensive garden while Mitsy and Tink, the 2 little ones were very undemanding chilled companions who preferred to be indoors rather than outside. All 4 dogs were a real pleasure to be with. Communication with Jonathon and Kate was excellent. They are both thoughtful considerate pet owners who contacted us during the sit to see how we were settling in. Despite the fact the family were away for the whole of the Christmas season Kate had put up a beautiful Christmas tree in the lounge and festive wreath on the front door. We really enjoyed our stay at Jonathon's; not only was their beautiful home spacious and comfortable, it was perfectly located to explore the area with immediate access to a road network which enabled us to visit Windsor, Henley on Thames and Marlow within 20 minutes from leaving home. The beautiful village of Bray was a short walk away. The grounds were completely secure with an electronic system allowing the dogs freedom to roam at will and us to relax knowing that they were safe. This was a fabulous sit and we are looking forward to a return visit.
I was lucky to stay at Angie’s to take care of Bubby. Angie is sweet and easy to communicate with, and a bit sadly Bubby didn’t seem super happy with me staying there, she hid behind the TV mostly. Thanks for having me Angie!
I couldn't have asked for a better stay! Tadeu, Biel and Mateu are the most lovable cats ever and Sara the most welcoming host. The flat is super comfy and Sara gave me all the needed info for my stay. Each cat has its unique personality- from Biel being the most social, Tadeu loving all kind of games and Mateu shy at first but then purring at any cuddle. They will spend so much time on the balconies checking outside (aka the FBI squad 😁) and be super curios at what you do. They might be hidden under the bed but just take the treat bag and they will come outside! So much love, I will be super happy to be taking care of them again.
