Boris and Tiger Lily were absolutely adorable Savannah cats with so much personality; they kept us very entertained during our week caring for them. We have really fallen in love with them and they more or less looked after themselves. Boris is very talkative and interactive and liked to sit on our laps, whilst Tiger Lily was more reserved, but regularly surprised us by rolling over onto her back for a tummy rub! As for Monica, Mike and their lovely children, Freya and Alfie, they were wonderful hosts: * Their home is beautiful, clean and comfortable; they have great taste in books, ornaments and the way decorated their home - we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived and really enjoyed living in their home. * With two bathrooms, a utility room and lots of space (with high ceilings) the four of us had all the space we needed. The king size bed was super comfortable! * They made up the beds for us with fresh linen and left towels out for us and Monica arranged for cleaners to clean the property before we arrived. * Communication before the sit was comprehensive and clear, with some last minute special tips around diversions, and they kept in touch with us throughout the sit. * Their friend and neighbours were also very friendly. * They were extremely generous hosts, leaving us a welcome hamper with loads of goodies and a fridge stocked with food, fruit and vegetables. In addition, we had a supply of milk delivered throughout the week. *Royal Tunbridge Wells is a lovely place; their home is five minutes from the Pantiles and Sainsbury's with many close parks and other places to visit. They are also very close to London and the train tickets were cheap and included travel for zones 1 to 6 in London! The family really made us feel welcome and we would definitely sit for them again and recommend them to other housesitters.
Nice place and I enjoyed my weekend sit with three cats (Fern, Otis and Owen). Fern is super friendly and will follow you everywhere while Otis and Owen will check you out but ran after you make eye contact with them. Leah provided complete instructions, which made the sit easy. I used the first floor master bedroom with a tempur-pedic mattress, TV and full bath. I look forward to my next sit to take care of these fur babies. Thank you Leah.
Sarah, Hugh and their boys made us very welcome for a quick hand over prior to leaving. Great to have a walk with dogs together. Swift, Lark and Buddy are really gorgeous dogs, very different personalities. They adore their walks and as Buddy plods along by us Swift and Lark go tearing off but they are very good at recall . The grounds and fields are extensive so can easily go for an hr plus walk without needing to go on any roads. Their home is beautiful, a super comfy bed and in an amazing location to explore. 5mins drive from Burford and lots of lovely Cotswolds villages within 20 mins so easy to pop out for a browse or lunch without leaving the dogs too long. Chickens easy and thankfully 5 when we arrived and when we left as fox in vicinity. Would thoroughly recommend this sit for so many reasons, lovely all round!
Keegan was so friendly and accommodating. She was very responsive and made me feel at home. This home is clean and spacious. It had everything I needed, including the most comfortable bed and blankets ever lol! Rue was such a sweetheart and loves to spend time with you! He is trained very well and was such a joy to be with. I had a wonderful time since there was so much to do so close. I hope to see him again soon!
Gypsy rose and the kitties were so lovely and enjoyable to watch! One of the easiest pet sits we have done! Communication with Tara was easy and we were able to help cover an extra day when they were delayed in their return! The house is directly near powell, so it can have some quite loud city noises through out the night, so bring ear plugs if thats a bother!
We had such a wonderful experience sitting Sinead's adorable cat, Marmie. Communication with Sinead was super fluent and friendly, and she gave us detailed instructions and some excellent recommendations. The house was fantastic and had everything we needed. The area is just lovely, green, very close to a supermarket and a bakery, as well as to public transportation that will lead you right to the city-center. This was our first time sitting through Trusted Housesitters and we couldn't have asked for a nicer week in London. The best, though, was spending time with Marmie on the couch, playing, cuddling and enjoying her amazing personality and spirit. We already miss her!
