This was the fifth time Liz and Rob have looked after my cats and condo in East Honolulu, and as always they did a fantastic job. I did not have to worry at all about anything at home whilst I was away for 3 weeks, and Rob and Liz kept me frequently updated with lovely photos and anecdotes of the cats, who did not miss me at all! All 3 cats remembered Liz and Rob from previous visits, and are very relaxed in their company and seek them out for company and play, not just for food! I have 2 senior cats-Matthew 14 and Lizbeth 16, and an energetic but very timid youngster-Bunter aged 3, adopted from a local feral cat colony. Matthew is extremely timid with strangers, but Liz and Rob gained his trust on their first visit in 2019 and he now loves them- even letting them apply thyroid paste in his ear daily, which is a new procedure. They are working the same magic with my young scaredy cat Bunter, who is getting braver and interacting with them more each day. They are genuine cat-lovers, and really understand cats, and have their own ginger cat Rusty, and I recommended them to local friends’ here who have a multiple cat household, who were equally delighted with their care and kindness. Liz and Rob also sat for me and my cat household last year for 6 weeks, which I did not get around to leaving a review for, but I was as delighted as ever at their care of the cats and condo for that long period. Liz and Rob always leave my apartment sparkling clean and well stocked with necessities for me and the cats on my return, and return my car in good condition, filled with gas and cleaned. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Mary and Julian made us feel very welcome to their lovely home in the Hampshire countryside. Even though it was very wet this year it did not detract from the fun we had with the dogs, Gus and Coco, who is aged but still able to preamble around the grounds and a short walk. Gus enjoyed a couple of good walks and was always eager to go for more! Tigger the cat always knew when it was food time and enjoyed a few snuggles in the warm kitchen. There are plenty of walks and places to visit in the area and beyond (weather permitting, - it was winter after all) I would have no hesitation in recommending Mary and Julian’s home for a most enjoyable sit.
Paul & Lori are beautiful people, very easy going & thorough. The place is super comfortable & the lake is beautiful. Scribbs, Saffie & Toby are slow to warm up but well worth the wait, I have never been snuggled so much In my life. They are all very well behaved animals.
We spent 11 days in a comfortable Spanish style villa, located in a hamlet of about 10 houses, 30-40 minute drive from Granada. Alomartes is the largest village in the area and it is surrounded with thousands of lovely olive trees and beautiful views. Tank and Rayo are a massive duo of energy and fun! We went for many walks in the countryside and worked off lots of doggie energy. On the other hand, the two cats, Freddie and Pixie are very sweet and easy going. It was equally a pleasure meeting Julie and Colin. They went out of their way to pick us up from the port in Malaga. After the sit was over, they took us to the train station in Granada.
Wow wow wow. This is a dream sit. After 3 weeks with Squish and Mori, and the cat crew Echo, Nemo, Archie, and Jocko, not to mention the 3 feathered ladies- it was really hard to say goodbye and I miss them already. Mori and I explored local trails for our morning jogs almost every day, and tho Squish was healing from a recent foot surgery and couldn’t join, he was the perfect wingman for finding new friends and live music at the local watering holes, or co-working from my laptop at the coffee shop. Squish is a big lug love bug, and Mori is a little more of an independent thinker but they are both affectionate and super easy going and well behaved- even towards a new friend. Monica and Jordan were ideal hosts. Communication and problem solving was a breeze and I had everything I needed. If you get the chance, caring for their beautiful home is a fantastic opportunity to work remote with chill companions in the eastern mountains of ABQ. Meanwhile, I fell madly in love with Tijeras and will absolutely be back. Thanks to the Barry’s until next time! Xoxo
We had so much fun looking after Leo for Penny and Richard! Leo is an absolute sweetheart, and huge cuddle bug. He stole our hearts the first time we met him with his adorable little smile. As we’re sure you’ll discover Leo loves to play fetch and is always keen for a walk. By far our favorite thing about Leo is how personable he is, especially the way he sits or sprawls out on the couch. He is also great with following commands, whether that be getting in his bed or having good recall while being off leash in the park. We spent a little under a week with Leo but he’ll have a special spot in our hearts as our first dog sit on the South Island! Penny and Richard live in a lovely, walkable area in Christchurch - near a botanical garden and a huge park. Furthermore, their home had all the amenities we could have ask for! Penny and Richard themselves are very warm hosts and easy to coordinate and chat with. You can’t go wrong with sitting for Penny and Richard and if the opportunity arises, we’d happily sit for them again!
Sitting for Anna and Anna was an absolute joy. They are a very likeable, friendly and helpful couple, their home and garden are spacious, well-equipped, comfy and conveniently located and (most importantly!) Ralph their dog is a delight to get to know, look after and have fun with. He's GORGEOUS; affectionate without being 'clingy' and very well behaved. He will fetch a ball for as long as you can keep throwing it for him. Wouldn't hesitate to sit for them again and already looking forward to next time :)
