Unlike with many of our pet/house sitters we had the opportunity to meet with Sarah a few times before her actual pet sit. We enjoyed two meals together, had some great conversations and a few walks with our dogs in the park behind our home. Once the actual sit started we felt confident in Sarah caring for our home and five pets. During our trip Sarah sent periodic updates on the pets and some pictures and videos of them enjoying their normal daily walks and household routines. Apparently there was a little excitement when we were gone with our fire alarm going off after a cooking mishap and the fire engine responding! No major problem though besides some damage to the microwave. Sarah did mow our lawn for us several times while gone, so that was greatly appreciated. She also watered a few plants for us and took in mail and a few packages as they arrived. Our borrowed car was returned to us in fine condition. The beds were remade with clean sheets and the bathroom cleaned before Sarah left. Unfortunately due to a delay in our air flight and Sarah’s need to leave a day earlier than our original dates, we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye and catch up on her time in New Orleans. She did leave us a nice bouquet of flowers and a lovely Thank You card. We are hopeful that our paths cross again in the future as Sarah is a very nice person!

Kate and her lovely family were a joy to have looking after our house and animals. We were in touch well before the date to arrange logistics and they kept in touch throughout their stay to ensure we knew that our animals were healthy and happy. The house was left clean and tidy, and Moss the dog will be missing all of the attention. Highly recommended x

In all respects, Gabi could not have been a better person to care for my dogs and for my home. I knew right away from the way that she interacted with Rosie and Quinn that she was a true dog lover and that they were in very good hands. I know that, during the sit, she had their best interests at heart, gave them plenty of affection, and took them out for long hikes each day. She was very attentive when we went through details about the care of the dogs and the house, and asked good questions. When I left on my trip, I felt very comfortable in the knowledge that the dogs and the house were in very good hands. Gabi left the house at least as clean as she found it and was finishing laundering the sheets from her bed when I arrived home, something I had not asked her to do and was expecting to do myself. Gabi is a very pleasant, personable, interesting woman, easy to talk to and feel comfortable with. I can give her the strongest recommendation, without hesitation!

Chris was great and flexible in the face of my hectic pre-trip chaos. Mango, who usually hides from strangers at first, was immediately comfortable around him. He was quick to respond and everything else was easy and seamless, and we came home to a clean and tidy apartment! Would love to have him sit again for us some time!

In a short period of time Renee developed a bond with our two Labs (and her own dog!), as well as went above and beyond our expectations, making us feel comfortable with leaving her in charge of them as well as our house. Siete was a delight. She was super helpful, communicative and sent lots of updates of our cat miso. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a loving hand with their house, pets and plants!

Julies place was not just a house but a home for a week. She picked us up from the train, explained everything very well and we immediately felt welcome in her beautiful home. 

The playground right behind the house was a particular highlight for my daughter and she was also very happy about the toys she was allowed to play with.

Mia and Toki are two wonderful cats. Mia sleeps most of the time, but also enjoys being stroked. Toki goes his own way a lot, but is also really cuddly once you get to know him better.

The location of the house is a dream. 10 minutes to a small supermarket that has everything you need. And 15 minutes to the harbour and the train station. 

I can highly recommend housesitting with Julie and would be delighted if the opportunity arose again at some point.
