Elizabeth’s home and neighborhood is very nice. Lucy and Gordy are so sweet and I loved getting to know their personalities. The responsibilities included feeding and cleaning up after the dogs and chickens, brushing the dogs’ teeth and coat, collecting eggs, aligning with the neighbors for yard work, watering plants, gathering mail and I also collected a urine sample and drove it to the vet for Gordy. I spent most of the time enjoying the restful rainforest ambiance nearby Elizabeth’s home where I was able to work remotely. I did have an unfortunate hiking incident which kept me from the dogs for one evening which I regret. I include that information to let others know that while exploring the island is possible from this place, I wouldn’t advise going alone or going too far. Elizabeth and I also had a misunderstanding towards the end of my stay and so I’d suggest calling and checking in more frequently rather than relying on text, which I thought was more convenient given time difference but left us in miscommunication. I am so appreciative for my time on the island, and a special shoutout to Gordy for being such an amazing cuddler. I wish all the best to this sweet family and many gratitudes for Elizabeth sharing space and trust.
