Pet Sitters in Royalton, IN

Adrienne is such a warm, fun, outgoing lady. She took wonderful care of Harley & Rusty, walking them at least twice a day. She definitely bonded with them. She sent pictures & kept us updated while we were gone. Adrienne seemed to enjoy her time here (taking lots of pictures). She met many of our neighbors & their dogs. It was nice she came a full day ahead of time so that we could show her around The Villages, especially getting around in our golf cart to restaurants, grocery stores, an entertainment area & swimming pool. After driving Adrienne around in the golf cart the day she arrived, my husband had her drive the golf cart the next morning before we left so she could get familiar with driving it. She did struggle with finding her way around in the golf cart after we left, even though we left maps of The Villages & told her about The Villages app with GPS. Because she was uncomfortable getting around in the golf cart, she asked a neighbor to help her & he took her to get groceries. We feel bad that she wasn't able to find her way around while she was here. We've labelled the light/fan switches in the house. Some of the switches (indicated with a red dot) control lights that are on a timers and we informed Adrienne about the meaning of the red dot. She must have accidentally manually turned off the living room light that was on a timer and didn't realize it, so it was dark in the living room. We typically leave out extra light bulbs in case one goes out. Well, we forgot this time to leave them out & of course, a bulb in the guest bedroom went out while we were gone. But Adrienne was self sufficient & used the lantern I left. Upon our return, she indicated she didn't contact us to find out where extra bulbs were because the lantern worked fine; so glad she found a solution! The only downside of this sit was the cleanliness of our home upon our return. Our dogs primarily stay in the enclosed lanai & they go outside through the lanai door. When they come in from outside, dried grass comes in on their paws (especially when it's damp outside) so we're totally understanding about grass in the lanai. However, there was a lot of dried grass in the house, especially the kitchen. When I mentioned it to Adrienne, she said it must have come in on her shoes because the dogs had not been in the house. Also, something had run over in the microwave & hadn't been cleaned up so I had to clean the microwave before I could use it the night of our return. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. Adrienne did wash the guest bedroom sheets before we came home, but she stayed the night of our return & slept in the bed again (she said she only sleeps on the very edge of the bed so the other side was clean for the next people using the guest bedroom). We really liked Adrienne & she was excellent with our dogs, which is the most important thing! We would ask her to sit for us again with our expectations of home cleanliness.

Megan was dependable, communicative, friendly, and over all a pleasure to interact with. We had great communication and I felt very comfortable entrusting our animals to her. She was very responsive during the sit and offered to go the extra mile for us when we thought we might be away an extra night. I would say your house and home are in good hands with Megan

If I could give 10 stars I would. Doug and Belinda were fabulous. The pups were well cared for and both very content. I was almost jealous when we came home as the pups hung out with Doug and not us for a little while. The house was spotless. Cleaner than I had left it which was quite clean. Great communicators We are hoping and praying they will come back in June for 3 weeks. Super nice couple. Great meeting and getting to know them. Can’t thank them enough for everything.

Randy was on his own this trip and we were truly pleased with him taking care of all SIX of our pets. He was thoroughly prepared as he read our manual ahead of time and we held a quick conference call to discuss his questions. He was especially thoughtful in using his previous pet knowledge to ask about flea & tick prevention and care. He was so self sufficient I got nervous when I didn’t hear back! But alas, it was just a texting error and he sent an update with pictures and commentary. He was very reliable and left our house in perfect working condition with pet foods refilled and our pets well loved. Thank you Randy!

Luci did a great job taking care of all my pets while I was away for 8 days. They were happy and stress free and was pleased they had such great company especially over the 4th of July holiday where my one dog can get pretty stressed. Luci did leave the kitchen a bit messy with some unwashed cooking utensils and appliances (baking sheet/air fryer) and found there was a missing plant that may have fallen down but is no longer in my home and was not communicated. I do leave detailed daily checklists in order to cover all the responsibilities that typically ensure smooth and easy care for 4 animals and an old house. However, there was also quite a bit of waste in the yard that should have been picked up daily and my mail had not been brought in. I very much appreciate Luci stepping in last minute to cover my household while I was away and I would have her back with more instructions and on shorter trips with additional clarity on expectations. She made sure my plants were watered and was communicative when having a friend over which I did not mind. She sent frequent updates and pictures of my pets and was overall tidy around the rest of the house and washed her sheets and towels. Overall I feel Luci was very respectful and helpful just not quite the 5 star experience I’ve had with other sitters.

Steve and Laurie were absolutely wonderful. I recommend them highly! During the week they stayed at my house, my four pets were extremely well taken care of. When I got home, I found happy, relaxed pets and a clean, tidy house. Steve and Laurie were kind, friendly, on time, communicative, neat, and basically everything one would like in a housesitter. As for the petsitting part, my dogs pretty much adored them, and so did the cats. While I was gone, I got a photo of the pets each day, which is something I love. When I got home, the beds had been changed and the laundry had been done. Clean sheets and towels...it was like I was still on vacation. Thanks, Steve and Laurie, for taking such good care of my pets and home!

You won't find a better housesitter than Holly and husband. They did an incredible job watching our sweet Joe Joe 5 days. Holly sent daily pictures, small updates and encouraging messages. They cared for our pet as if it was their own. Not only did they care for our pet but I think the house was cleaner when I got home then when I left. He certainly went above the call of duty, and we are very appreciative. You won't go wrong by choosing this wonderful couple to assist you with your needs. Cynthia was a great sitter! She was very communicative, letting me know when she arrived, if she had questions, and when she left. She also sent me daily updates and pics of my "kids." The cats seemed to warm up to her very quickly, and my house was spotless when I returned. Highly recommend!

This is the second time Michelle has stayed with Ruthie and Rosie. She is quick to respond to all communication and you can count on her to arrive on time as promised. Michelle reached out with any questions she had and left the house in perfect order. Do not hesitate to sign her up as your housesitter!

Mattey looked after our two bengals when we were on holiday and did a great job. It wasn’t easy for her as one of our cats got injured but she coped amazingly and they were so happy: she is welcome any time!

Thamy was an amazing sitter! Our cat loved her so much, and so did we. She went above and beyond both for our cat and house while we were away. Can't recommend her enough!
