Camilla
This was our first Trusted HouseSitters sit and what a wonderful introduction, thank you so much to Camilla, Tom and the gorgeous girl, Blue!

Camilla provided very clear instructions and lots of recommendations for places to visit around the village of Hilperton, Wiltshire. Communication was easy and timely. We met one another firstly via WhatsApp video, then face to face for the actual sit, when Camilla kindly made us a delicious lunch before leaving. It was great to actually meet Camilla and Tom and to be shown how exactly to administer Blue’s inhaler.

The highlight of our sit was of course meeting and bonding with dearest Blue. Such an easy going, friendly, playful and cuddly princess, who loves doing Zoomies around the house. It was really easy to administer her inhaler before breakfast and dinner and she waited patiently in the kitchen for her medication, because she knows the drill - inhaler followed by yummy food thank you! We had no problems keeping Blue in the house - the double doors at the front of the house served as a useful airlock.

Camilla and Tom’s house is in Wiltshire, so lots of lovely places to visit nearby - again thank you for all the great suggestions, Camilla and Tom. We visited pretty Bradford-on-Avon (fabulous Italian resto there called Ravello’s), Frome, Devizes and of course Bath. There are also a number of National Trust properties to visit: Stourhead (stunning), Lacock Abbey and village (really pretty and both have been used in numerous films) plus Courts Gardens (serene).

As for the house, it’s modern, clean and tidy. The kitchen is very well equipped so we were able to eat in and keep Blue company most evenings. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable week. There is Amazon, Netflix and the Disney Channel on offer from the comfy sofa. And the mattress is so comfy - we slept really well the entire week of our stay, even though it was really warm.

We highly recommend this housesit and would be delighted to be invited back so that we can continue our exploration of Wiltshire, Somerset and Avon and, most of all, enjoy some more morning cuddles with Blue!

This was an outstanding sit and very much enjoyed my time with Bob and Stanley! Stanley is a sweetheart who will be your best friend from the start. He loves cuddles and attention but he also likes to be on his own and when he pleases. He loves exploring in the outside area and observe how people and cars go by. He absolutely adores being brushed and once he sees it is brushing time, he comes running like the wind. Bob is very shy and he spent the first few days under the bed. He eventually started coming out and hanging out in the living room with me and Stanley, at a distant, but he was in the same room, which it felt like a milestone achieved :). I believe that talking to him, patience and having a quiet environment around the house led Bob to come out of his shell. He even jumped in bed with be a few times. Maggie is the nicest person, kind and warm so I felt really welcome and very comfortable from the time I met her. She left very clear instructions and always very communicative. The house is gorgeous and a 2 min walk to the sea front. It was impeccable and very comfortable. It is located in a very quite place of Hove yet close to the main road with nice restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, etc around the corner. I would highly recommend this sit and not to miss this opportunity!
