My husband and I had a great time taking care of Matute. She is so easy to care for and we became great friends very quickly. She is a big bundle of energy and loves to go on long walks, play in the dog park, and play fetch. She was very attentive and would follow us around the apartment as she was curious what we were doing. Manuela has a lovely and large apartment that gets lots of natural light. The apartment building is very nice with an amazing gym (even better than some commercial gyms I've been to!). The internet in the apartment also worked well - I was able to have video calls easily. The neighborhood is safe but you'll have to be comfortable crossing busy streets (no crossing light) in order to get to a coffee shop, grocery store, or Matute's favorite dog park. We did not have access to a car while we were house-sitting (only Uber) and I do think it would have been more fun and convenient if we did have one. Manuela was so sweet and also very great to work with. She had a very detailed guide prepared for us, was very communicative, had great recommendations, and even let us borrow both of her card keys. Everything that we needed (dog food, treats, cleaning tools) were also prepared for us ahead of time. Highly recommend sitting here! Thank you Manuela for the opportunity!
This was my first sit and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Walter, their cat, was a joy to look after and brilliant company. Tom and Vanessa are lovely and have a very beautiful house in a very nice area. They left me with all the information I needed and regularly contacted me to check everything was ok. Would be very happy to sit again and would also recommend to any future sitter.
Hannah and family were very welcoming in their beautiful house, effective on communication and clear with instructions. However, the real stars were Wispa and Biscuit, two of the most docile pets we have ever seen, a joy to share our time and look after them. We felt at home and enjoy thoroughly the experience, thanks so much!
Our first housesitting experience turned out to be the best experience! Didier and Virginie made us feel at home right away. Their beautiful and fully equipped home, surrounded by a wonderful garden was a joy! They told us everything we needed to know for the sit and made us feel very welcome. The two dogs Ghana and Raya were just as wonderful as their people. Really loving and easy to take care of. Our kids really enjoyed playing with them in the garden and the evening was always reserved for some time to snuggle. The two girls are really missed! We highly recommend that sit!
We had the most wonderful time at Emma and John's lovely house overlooking Loch Fyne! Eddie was an absolutely lovely, bouncy, friendly, happy dog who was a pleasure to be with. We took him into the hills above the house, to the folly overlooking Inveraray Castle and down to the Crinan Canal, and all this time he was just a dream! In the evenings he snuggled up in front of the fire and seemed to love being with us. We've now done some 70 or so sits and he was up there with the best of them. We were SO sad to say goodbye - the sit was over so, so quickly, and we hope we meet again ❤️
I had such a sweet time with little Huggo. Poor guy was feeling rather down while I was there because his doggie companion had just passed away, but he was still a trooper. Wendy was really responsive and easy to communicate with and seems like a very caring person overall. I didn’t have much time to explore on this short sit but it’s a very cute area!
