Wow! Wow! Wow! Everything about this sit was amazing from the host family, to the home, to the location, to the views, to the main event Miss Riley. Val and Scott were SO welcoming and generous and set us up for success right from the start. They treated us to dinner the night before and walked us through a personalized welcome guide to orient ourselves with everything we would need to know for taking care of the house and spending time with Riley along with just having fantastic easy flowing conversation right from the moment we met. They are such a neat and fun couple and it was a blessing getting to know them both before and after the actual sit itself. The home is beautifully decorated and has various different sitting areas throughout all providing different viewpoints of the sky and mountains surrounding you. It feels like you are in your own private resort with their beautifully landscaped backyard, back patio with firepit and incredible front deck facing the Flat Irons which feels like you could just reach out and touch them. Riley is a dream! She is a lover and went everywhere with us. She is great on and off the lead, never pulls and does great with other dogs and people. Everybody wants to stop and pet her and she gladly obliges as she is an equal opportunity recipient of attention. Riley goes to play with her friends at Doggie Day care twice a week, but we were having so much fun with her taking her on our own adventures we actually forgot one of the days. She loves the car and is always ready for any cool weather outing with pure excitement. We cannot say enough about this family and our experience with Riley. Would highly recommend this opportunity to others whenever we are not available 😊
I loved sitting for Lyn and Poppy. She Is a gorgeous dog, loves her cuddles and pats, and follows you everywhere. She is also very well trained and obedient. She is very loveable so it was sad to say goodbye. Lyn’s home is a lovely, clean and safe unit in a 2 story walk up building. It has cool breezes which is great in the Brisbane heat and was very quiet and restful. The area is lovely to walk and Shops and cafes, including an organic / natural grocer are just up the road. Lyn is lovely, and also a keen traveler. Communication was great leading up to, and during the sit. If given the opportunity, do not hesitate to apply to sit for Lyn and Poppy’s home .
I had such an easy and relaxing time staying with Enzo. Laurie's house is inviting and cozy. We spent a ton of time in the backyard sun bathing and watering the plants. I especially loved the screened sun porch so I could sit out without getting eaten by mosquitos. Enzo is such a sweet companion and is not needy, just loving! He made sure I got my walk in twice a day. I 100% recommend taking the opportunity to enjoy Saint Pete!
