This was a fun, relaxing, and comfortable weekend. I arrived at Union Station by Amtrak. I loaded a SmarTrip card to use on my phone and used my favorite apps, Transit for Metro and buses, and Google Maps for walking directions, to get around. There’s so much to see and do that’s free in D.C. I simply planned my sightseeing around what I could reach easily. It worked great. Kate and Adam’s home was clean and organized. Kate’s Guide was thorough and had great recommendations. They were also generous with goodies from their favorite local eateries when I arrived. Delicious! I felt welcomed to their home and eager to explore. At other times I liked sitting out back or on their front porch, enjoying the flowers and sunshine. The neighborhood, especially on my walks along 3rd Street, was quiet and lovely. I have never heard so much birdsong in a city! The soundscape was as pleasant as the landscape. I am vegetarian and also discovered a lunch/Sunday brunch spot, the vegan Senbeb Cafe, about a 15-minute walk from the house. It is mostly takeout, but the cafe found a corner for me to sit and eat my Sunday brunch. The cafe is also close to the Tacoma Park Farmers’ Market, open on Sundays. The brunch was so good I stopped the next day for their “steak and cheese” sub on my way back to the Tacoma Metro Red Line, which is another 6 minute walk. The sandwich was even better than the brunch. If I could I would go back tomorrow. The cats, Marty and Renana, were great company, affectionate, and easy to care for. Renana fell in love with my backpack, of all things, and had me laughing as she tried to figure out what it was for. Something to sniff? To hug? A bed? A scratching post? Obviously something to shed fur on, lol! I am eager to return, given the chance, enjoy their company again, and explore more of D.C.
I had the most wonderful time looking after the wonderful Bigwig while Chantelle and Rens were away. Chantelle and Rens made me feel so welcomed and at home from the very minute I arrived in their home. Chantelle is such a kind and caring person who is a dream to communicate with! Chantelle really seemed to appreciate the updates on Bigwig and it is so clear that Chantelle and Bigwig have the most special bond. Chantelle gave me a very detailed overview of how best to care for Bigwig and what to do if anything went wrong (thankfully not information I needed, but I was so grateful to have it just in case). She also showed me around her neighbourhood and gave me some tips on what to do in Amsterdam. Bigwig is absolutely the sweetest bunny I have ever come across and he is just so funny too. He is very cuddly and social and loves to be wherever you are. Bigwig and I got very close during the sit because he is just so loveable! Chantelle and Rens have a gorgeous modern home that is so comfy and I really enjoyed my time in their home. I would absolutely love to come and look after Bigwig again, and would highly recommend this sit to anyone. Thank you Chantelle and Rens for everything!

My 7month old puppy came home very tired after 8 days, but in great shape, and clearly perfectly contented. Will definitely be sending him again. Minus one star because I turned up to drop him off and they had no record of my reservation. Lucky for me they had room and took him anyway!
Simply the best kennel in the suisse romande. I reviewed about 20 of them when I moved here in the 90s. Nothing was close and most treated dogs like chickens. Perhaps other competitors have arisen but I have no desire to change the team here is superb, caring, for 25+ years. Thanks Brad and team!
Absolutely awesome kennel and owner! Very well organized, clean and spacious. We went to pick up our Kilo and he was super clean, fed and happy to be there. Great kennel. I always have full confidence that my dog is going to be well looked after here. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. All the dogs have plenty of outdoor space and are always carefully matched if sharing space to be sure there won't be any issues.
Outstanding kennel. Owner provides great care for our dog and even fluent in English. Can highly recommend this place. We used to drive from Geneva to Fribourg as could not find a proper kennel that provided the care we were looking for in Geneva. But we for sure have here.
I couldn't have hoped for a better kennel for my dog. The space is perfect, and the staff were super friendly. On top they get a bath with the best shampoo I have ever smelled and their nails clipped. I wish I could have the same experience as my dog.

I leave my dog every time I go on vacation with Stillwagon, they are really very competent and adorable with my dog, who always has little problem eating the first few days, but when I go to look for her I always find her in great shape! They even offered to go buy some of the food she likes if that would help.
Nothing to say, I get my dog back in great condition and happy.
