Marcy and Ray are lovely people and I really enjoyed my time spent at their hilltop retreat along the Pacific coast of Panama. Waking up every morning to a view of the nearby forests, pastoral hillsides, the ocean, and the far-off mountains was really somewhat awe-inspiring. The cats are great company, each one with their own unique personality, hard to pick a favorite really. I also took full advantage of the forest hiking and running trails that Ray and Marcy maintain, lots to see here. If you enjoy getting away from civilization for a little while and do not mind minor annoyances like bugs, monkeys howling in the morning, or the occasional power outage, then you will absolutely love it here!
Kimberly and Mike made us feel welcome in their very comfortable home. My daughter and Kimberly shared a love of owls, so we enjoyed all the owl decor. As for our furry hosts, we loved Izzy and Lolo! They are both very sweet. Lolo was friendly and liked to hang out with us but also loved going off on adventures. Izzy made us happy when she would dance with us—and she danced a lot. They are not hard to take care of at all and with a pet door, they had the freedom to come and go to the yard as they pleased. Izzy had her own special secluded walking trail at the top of the mountain with mountain-top views. We all enjoyed the sunny and warm spring days on the large deck while enjoying the views and the flowering trees with Izzy napping at our feet. We were surrounded by beautiful mountain trails and made sure to take long hikes by streams and up through the mountains. Asheville is such a fun city to visit and you are close to all the shopping and the fun art and cultural places. Great sit with hosts that have clear instructions for pet care! We really enjoyed looking after Toffee, Treacle and Crumble. They are all so sweet and loveable. The chickens were fun to look after too. The gardens are so pretty, such a lovely setting. Marylyn and Tim made us so welcome, thank you both, we had a great time.
Alex and Kate were very friendly and communicative! We felt so welcomed into their home, which is beautifully decorated, and has a wonderful yard for Capri. Capri was sociable right from the start and just happy to be around us. Rearranging the cushions on the couch is one of her favorite activities, and it’s very cute to watch her settle in. We would absolutely recommend Alex, Kate, and Capri!
I had a wonderful 2 weeks sitting for the amazing Billie this summer in Victoria. Perhaps the most gentle, loving kitty I've sat for yet, Billie and I spent lots of quality time working remotely, lounging in the yard, playing rubber band fetch and watching Netflix. Billie warms up fast and grows more affectionate and attached each day. She'll meow to play, cuddle and follow you about. Kelly is an amazing and generous host. She welcomed me a night early for a smooth hand-off of house and kitty. Just a block from the beach, Kelly's cozy, plant- and art-filled home is the perfect base for exploring Victoria. She shared her favorite spots for hiking, swimming, markets and takeout. Kelly was never more than a text away for any help or questions. If you're seeking quality kitty time in a lovely home by the sea, this is it! I hope to see Kelly & Billie again.
Rajah and Baloo were a joy to sit for, both full of energy which was lovely for my stay. Devon was great, she gave me lovely recommendations for things to do in Ottawa whilst I was there.
