What a lovely housesit we had with Apollo and Echo, we had great walks, the both are absolutely perfect obedient off lead. We enjoyed the many walks on the Isle of Wight and in the neighbourhood of Bonchurch which is a lovely little old village. In Ventnor is the beach/ bars/ restaurants and shops. Mary is a good host, she had everything organised and also people on the island available in case of a problem with the house or the dogs. This is Mary's second home so she is not living there all the time. We slept very well as it was quiet and dark. Bed is perfect, shower super, the house is very comfortable with heating throughout. The surroundings are a bit hilly so you need good shoes and good condition when you go walking with the dogs. Apollo and Echo are so affectionate, they are truly a delight to take care off. We did the housesit for almost 3 weeks from 20th of dec. to 10th of jan. and loved every minute of it !! Highly recomment this sit !
Paddington and Campbell we such a pleasure to look after for our 3 week sit! We had everything we needed to take care of them and lots of places to walk in the neighbourhood. They are super well-behaved and very chilled out. Catie and I loved playing with them, they enjoyed a bit of light jogging in the park, and they were very relaxed when we had guests over. Betsy and Ken we so welcoming, they picked us up at the airport and helped us recover baggage that had been delayed from our flight. They showed us around the local area and gave us plenty of recommendations for walks and attractions, as well as sharing a wonderful meal with us and having a charming evening getting to knew each other. During the sit Betsy and I exchanged messages over WhatsApp, we tended to message every few days - whenever was convenient really. Catie and I felt totally supported and it was really lovely keeping in touch throughout the sit. We had a great time exploring Luxembourg. Catie is a runner and met up with a local run club, which we thoroughly recommend for any other runners, as we then joined our new friends on a few nights out - it was a great way to enjoy the city. All in all, we loved this sit! We are really grateful to Betsy and Ken for their warm hospitality, and we are dearly missing Paddington and Campbell!!
We loved our housesit for Michal. Louie the cat is so loving, playful, and very easy to take care of. He is free to roam outside all day and he always comes home for his meals. We are already missing him. We loved watering the garden and flowers and enjoyed the house and beautiful backyard. We had great instructions and communication with Michal and it was great to meet Michal before our housesit, this makes a sit always so much more personal. We enjoyed the hiking trails and bike paths just out of the house, I would housesit any time again!
I had a fabulous time Housesitting for Kate and looking after Layla! The house was in a great location and Layla was amazing company.
Staying at Charlotte's was great ! She and Lexi kindly received me with a great home, bed ready and towels. Even with Christmas chocolates, which I loved ! She also left me some meat as I arrived near lunch time. The house has everything you might need, modern and functional. Communication with Charlotte throughout the stay was amazing, always answering my questions and listening to my (not so small audios) reports of Lexi and what happened during the day or during our walks. Lexi is just LOVELY ! She does have a strong personality, showing what she wants or needs, but she is very well trained and obeys to commands (especially if you promise her a treat). She is very aware of other dogs, but holding and being firm with her is all you need for her to respect you. Miss baby Lexi dearly and would love to pet sit her again !
Gill and Andrew are very welcoming and communicative. Their home is in a very quiet neighbourhood that easily facilitates working from home. Their two cats are brothers with quite different personalities. Charlie loves to be around you and whatever you're doing. Max is very happy to go out and explore the day as though he's Ranulph Fiennes. However, they're both very affectionate and love to snuggle up with you, especially in the evening. Gill and Andrew's home is well connected with neighbouring villages and towns. It's also pretty easy to get into London should you want to. There are some good walks right on the doorstep. Plus, there are some cute little shops and coffee shops. It was definitely one of our easiest sits with good-natured cats. We'd recommend the sit to mature people who enjoy peace and quiet, like cats and the countryside/ village life.
