We arrived a day early to meet Emily and her son Leo and the dogs Max and Cooper. Emily kindly cooked us a delicious lunch and gave us thorough instructions about the home and pets. The house is spacious and very comfortable with a large yard and two decks. Cooper seemed anxious with strangers in the house, but by the end of our first day together he was calm and loving, as was Max. We took them with us in our car for some adventures in Germantown and the nearby state/national parks along the Potomac River. They were well behaved, aside from pulling on the lead, which made walking difficult. They seemed calmer and more easily managed walking in their own neighbourhood. They also loved just hanging outside in the yard. To see the sights of DC, it takes about 45 minutes to get into the city, but the Metro is very easy and inexpensive. Although the purpose of this sit was to experience all that Washington, DC has to offer, we had the added bonus of meeting a wonderful family and very loving dogs, and we highly recommend this sit!
I loved spending time with Tego. He is a sweet, ball of energy, cuddly, lovely dog! We had a great time together, so great that I barely left him alone in the house! He was very protective of me and being with him was so calming. I had one of the best sleeps at Sara's and Jose's apartment! Sara and Jose were very accommodating and kind. Their apartment is clean, nice and quiet. I would love to watch Tego again because I really got to love this beauty! Highly recommend booking with Sara and Jose and consider yourself lucky if they pick you! 🧡
Our stay in Taos with Fern and Ben’s endearing menagerie could not have gone better. They were both organized, kind, generous, and super communicative before, during, and after our stay. They have done a fantastic job accustoming their pets to routine, and training them to be calm and polite. It was truly a pleasure to interact with the dogs, Moro, Juni, and Runa. They love to be on the go, which. All three cats have distinctive personalities and warmed provided great opportunities for us to explore walks in and around Taos. The cats all have individual personalities and are very friendly, they warmed up to our presence within a couple of days. We had fun trying to catch a glimpse of a fourth, outdoor cat who also gets fed; he was beautiful but stealthy and shy. Georgie, the tortoise, was a delight. She was tolerant with us while we learned the ropes of tortoise care (Fern left fabulous notes and Georgie’s enclosure has automated heat and light) and was truly fun to watch and “walk.” We arrived a day early, which was really helpful for getting into the flow of the household and understanding everyone’s needs. Fern and Ben set us up in a their cute, backyard casita. It was warm, comfortable, and beautifully refinished with southwestern flair. When we moved into the main house upon their departure we were easily able to find everything we needed to manage the household. All the back-up food and pet supplies were organized and readily on hand, making caring for the pets a wonderful experience. I highly recommend sitting for Fern and Ben if you have the opportunity! They have done numerous housesits themselves and understand what a housesitter really needs to be able to provide the best possible care for their home and pets. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
This was a wonderful sit for two lovable pets for two lovely women. I highly recommend this sit. Leslie and Maria were welcoming, gracious and generous. They provided excellent communication throughout the process and helped trouble shoot a house concern that arose expertly. Jeannie Bellini is one of the sweetest easiest dogs ever. She loves to cuddle and sleep with you at night and be near you. She’s a great communicator and easy to care for. Falli kitty is also one of the most affectionate cats I’ve known. She is a terrific hunter and may bring you some love presents to show how much she loves you. She loves frequent cuddles and gives lovely kisses. Their home is quiet, safe and very comfortable. It’s located in a beautiful residential neighborhood and convenient to everything Jacksonville you might want to experience. This was an A+++ sit for me!
Helene and Keith together with their gorgeous cats Leo and Sally were a dream to house sit for. We had a Skype meeting to introduce ourselves and felt really comfortable coming over to Germany. Helene was great in ensuring we had all the information needed before we came across and were excellent hosts upon our arrival. It was a pleasure living in their lovely home and taking care of Leo and Sally their very friendly cats. It has to be said that Leo is very keen on introducing you to his speciality of catching live mice and bringing them in to you so you need to be comfortable in dealing with that
