I enjoyed your place, your town, and especially your dogs. And it was good to have the time before the sit and after, too. Thanks for your time and generosity. I know I do like having a welcome guide before I arrive that gives pertinent information I can read beforehand and think about, refer to, and perhaps inquire about more specifically on my arrival. It was a brief and I sure had no issues, but maybe for future sits it could help your sitters out.
The two cutest Yorkies, a beautiful new home, and walking distance to the Metro. What more could a girl ask for? Nothing. I had a great time at Kellan and Erin's house caring for Ollie and Max. I already miss the little boys; they were such a treasure. Erin was organized and easy to communicate with. Can't wait to see the boys again!
Riley keeps her own company and follows her own routine of prowling her territory, and when she decided I was safe it was a treat to have her sit with me in the evening. She politely waits by the door to be let out for some morning exercise and has a wonderful growl/miaow for letting you know that she’d quite like a top up of fresh water or a treat. Jennifer’s home was clean and lovely smelling, on a quiet street in gorgeous surroundings. It has one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on! Jennifer shared a tour video with me before I arrived as we weren’t going to have a handover in person and it helped me find everything I needed for myself and for Riley. She checked in with me by text after I arrived to make sure I had everything. The home is within walking distance of a tube station or a £7 taxi ride, and there’s a high street a couple of minutes away with cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend this sit!
We had a great time hanging out with Nani in Christin and Dave's wonderful home. Christin and Dave were relaxed and generous, even stocking up on extra groceries for us during our stay. (And thank you for the yummy homemade lentil soup!) Communication was easy, timely, and friendly, and they were clear about things to know. The house is a gem, and they have a book of photos of them rehabbing it from top to bottom-- the care they took is really clear when you are staying there. Nani was super friendly when we arrived and then took a few hours off from us in her favorite basement hiding place, the way cats do when they realize something's up, but she was back soon and the rest of the time was scritches and toys. She is also really smart-- she can open dresser drawers and cabinet doors with casual ease, and is very good at letting you know what she's thinking with a few adorable meows. The location is great-- lots of places to walk and water to see, and fun drives to take in the larger Cape. Such a treat!
Sarah is utterly lovely. Her dog Laz is a lovely, loyal and well trained dog who I grew to love so much. I met Sarah and her family and she gave me great advice and was kind and clever and a joy to get to know. I would happily sit for Sarah and Laz in their lovely town again.
Blanca is a very caring host – she made us (me and my mum) feel welcome from the moment we met. Blanca was very quick to communicate with, before and also during our stay through WhatsApp. She picked us up from the airport and she stayed that night in a friend’s house to make us feel comfortable in her own house. The house is comfortable, cozy, and bright . The bus stop is very close to the house, only 2 minutes walking distance. Luna and Jasper are gorgeous cats, they are playful and they like staying around you. Luna is a bit more shy, especially at the beginning. But she likes playing with her toys and sitting on the top of the furniture. Jasper is the most obedient cat I have ever cared for. He has asthma, but he knows he must use the inhale every morning. So, he comes by himself to your lap and wait for his inhaler (and some treats!). Thank you once again for your kindness and hospitality!
