Duncan & Eileen have a beautiful large house and gardens. They are friendly and generous hosts. We met them both virtually then Duncan and family before the sit. We stayed in a self contained flat in the grounds. The flat is modern, with a wonderful floor to ceiling window with a view of the garden. Our main duty was care of the pets. They have cleaners and a gardener who come in regularly. Fin is a gorgeous friendly Doberman who is mainly outside during the day. He liked his morning walk and spend the evenings and nights with us in the flat. The cats, Simba is friendly and loved a cuddle, Sheba was shy but did let you stroke her when she got to know you. Henley on Thames is a beautiful historic town, approx one mile away. There are lots of great walks on the riverbanks. This was a lovely sit and would love to go back. Would recommend. We had a wonderful stay at Barrie and Val's beautiful home! They were incredibly accomodating and gave us a clear and thorough run down of Bosie and Jazz's routines. Both pets are really loving and affectionate (one Jazz gets to know you) and we had a great time exploring the area. The house is in an absolutely stunning location - perfect for walks with Bosie. We would highly recommend this sit!
Joanne and Tom were so friendly and welcoming! They were responsive to any questions we had and left detailed instructions for their time away which we loved! It was very easy to follow. Their home felt like a retreat, it was so peaceful, you feel remote but are actually very close to shopping, food and the beach. We only watched Teddy and Melody. Teddy took some time to warm up to us but was so sweet once she did. We would housesit for them again anytime! If you get the opportunity, we highly recommend housesitting for Joanne and Tom.
