After so many positive experiences, this one didn't quite hit the mark. I try to be honest, because it's a big responsibility to take care of other people's place and pets. My main disappointment was the status of the apartment as I found it on my way back home: overwhelming smell of cat urine, indicating that the litter had not being changed in days; dirty floors and carpets with food, cat litter, human and animals hair; spots of food on dining table and kitchen; many flies (despite the insect nets); cat food dark stale and smelly, possibly indicating that cats weren't eating properly and food was not being replaced. This sitter also used smoke in the apartment, which was completely forbidden as clearly stated in the guide. The sitter also admitted not to have checked the guide. It goes without mention that there are pictures and screenshots of everything I mentioned till now. I have to admit that I did tell the sitter that cats would be using the litter even when pretty dirty, but I didn't mean it to let it go unsanitary for humans and animals. Of course I don't expect a sitter to do spring cleaning, but I expect a sitter to clean after themselves. Some positive notes: the communication was easy throughout the experience, although limited to my request of info, and never spontaneous; the sitter immediately recognised the problem of the smoke in the apartment; trash bins were emptied; all my animals where fine.

I can't recommend Annie and Nyree enough! They were delightful in our zoom meetings as we exchanged info and got to know each other, they sent texts and photos of the cats during their stay and asked questions when they needed to which I truly appreciated. The cats were obviously well cared for and the house was left clean and tidy with welcome home treats for me. The real treat was having these two women care for my two elderly cats and house. This was my first house/pet experience with this site and they have set a very high standard. Book these two, you won't be disappointed!
