It’s was an absolute pleasure sitting for Michelle and Simon. They were so welcome and accomodating, inviting me to eat dinner with them the night before, and made me feel very much at home. Their house is beautiful and was a lovely place to just sit and read a book, as well as having some lovely walks close by. Viola was a delight to look after (and very very cute), making herself comfy in my lap when given the opportunity! Would highly recommend!
So enjoyed staying with Luna at Laurie's condo in Berkeley. Laurie is an excellent communicator and she is a lovely woman. Luna is a darling kitty who loves to play. Gracie, Kenji and Snickers were all easy to care even with their quirks :) I was concerned about no fence but the dogs were great and never left their property without me. We had a amazing time at Helen's with Luna. It was our first time using Trusted Housesitters, but Helen immediately made us feel comfortable. We were provided with a very comprehensive guide to the property and tips for keeping up with Luna's training , this proved to be very helpful throughout our stay. The house is very well located with beautiful views on the Menai Strait, with easy access to visit Anglesey, North Wales and Snowdon. The place is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need. It was an absolute pleasure looking after Luna, she is an adorable, playful puppy who loves a cuddle and bonded very quickly with us. Luna graduated from her dog training ,the day we arrived and is therefore very well behaved ! We would come back to look after Luna in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this pet sit.
When I saw this Sit and pictures of Adolfo I thought he was very lovely looking, and decided to apply - and I am so glad I did! When I met Adolfo I was struck at how "handsome" he is. He has a very shiny coat of beautiful colours, a beautiful face and a "cheeky" little white blob of fur near his nose. The last picture on his THS Profile shows what he is like. On my first day, he met me at the door, rubbed himself against me, smelt my hands and was very friendly and sociable. The longer we spent together the friendlier he became. After waking in the morning, or after his afternoon sleep, he stretched himself and then rubbed himself against my legs. I did not find he stayed interested in any of his balls or toys for very long - but preferred to run around the apartment and liked company. He followed me around, sat beside me on the settee, up on the table and counter tops, into kitchen cupboards, on my bed, into my day-bed drawer and finally into my suitcase on my final packing day! I also found he loved being stroked, tickled under his chin and lying down having his side stroked. He was happy being groomed and all I had to do was hold his brush and he walked along it. He would happily spend hours being brushed under his chin. It took him a few days of sitting beside me on the settee before he started to sit on my lap - but once he felt secure he was happy there having his back stroked. He is totally house-trained, very clean and very easy to be with and look after - I would actually describe his as a "companion"! I had a WhatsApp chat with Ana before "The Sit" and then spent an afternoon with her and Joana before their holiday began. The "Welcome Pack" is very clear and they also provided a folder with very helpful pictorials. At the apartment everything was shown and explained and I felt comfortable with what was required to look after Adolf and their lovely home - and I hope I succeeded! Their spoken and written english language is perfect - and this was also a great help to me as Ana explained to me how to work the TV - doh! They are both very nice to talk with and well travelled - and I spent a very nice afternoon chatting with them. You were both great company, so I hope I did not take up too much of your time! Ana and Joana`s apartment is wonderful. Very spacious, comfortable, warm Scandinavian style with a very tasteful mix of beautiful and interesting items. They allowed me the use of a very spacious home-office with a height-adjustable desk. However, I chose to sit in the eating-room facing the huge picture windows with the light streaming in. The apartment is very accessible for tram and bus travel to and from central Oslo. "Thank you" Ana for sending me the Oslo "Ruter" App which I used for wonderful tram travel! I also walked the 3-4 KM to Oslo centre - just follow the tram lines I was told and you will not get lost - which is true! The Akerselva River runs through Oslo, and I walked it many times rather than take a tram. It`s a popular recreation area with a vibrant history, spectacular waterfalls and forested areas. The apartment is near food shops and shopping centres. I am always sad to leave a "client" and his/her area - and this is no exception. "Thank you" again Adolfo for "reading" my request, letting me stay with you in your lovely apartment and being in Oslo. I enjoyed meeting you and spending time with you. Please also say "thank you" to Ana and Joana for also agreeing for me to be with you - and I hope you both had a lovely holiday!
Clare and Peter are wonderful hosts! The dogs are absolutely sweet and fun & the kitties are affectionate and playful. We had a blast!
