We had a wonderful time looking after Penfold, Storm, and Lucinda’s and Tom’s beautiful home. We arrived to an immaculately clean house, lovingly prepared bedrooms and even freshly baked bread. The house is spacious and super comfortable. Having our meals underneath the big apple tree in the garden was a real treat. Everything you could need can be bought in the shops and coffee shop just around the corner. Penfold and Storm are very loving dogs and very easy to look after. Walking them was a real joy, as they are so happy to run in whirlwinds all around you. We hardly ever had to call them as they just stick to your side. Meeting other dogs never was a problem either - a quick sniff and off they ran again. We had access to a car so were able to explore some really beautiful woodlands in the area. We had two minor hiccups with unusual during-the-night barking and an injury caused during a walk, both of which Lucinda helped us manage amazingly. Thank you for the experience, we can highly recommend this housesit and send our love to Penfold and Storm 💛
Perfect sit. Bob & Susan were so gracious to let us stay at their beautiful home even though Shanti has passed a few weeks before our sit time. Sometimes things just work out, at least we were able to water plants and look after the house. Roger & Ron
I loved my sit at Jen & Ben's looking after the gorgeous Spud & the not so Speedy, Speedy! Spud is an absolute delight, she is so laid back and chilled but definitely knows what she wants! She enjoys a good walk, as long as she gets to decide where to go and you have some treats with you! She also loves chilling in the garden or on her bean bag, as well as a good belly rub. Speedy was a little cautious of me at first, but within a minute of letting her sniff me and talking gently to her she was relaxed as anything clambering over me (I was sat on the garden floor!). Also extremely easy to look after. The house and neighborhood was lovely, communication very easy & Jen & Ben were super flexible regarding collecting keys, etc etc. There were clear directions for the local walks left for me which were also great, though Spud was the main decision maker in this domain which was fine with me! Would recommend this sit & would definitely sit again if needed!
Michelle and Michael are lovely people with 2 awesome cats and a gorgeous home! They were friendly, hospitable, and easy to communicate with. Maligne and Cachou are wonderful cats who are easy to take care of. Their home is in an ideal location and beautifully decorated. I will miss these kitties and home!
William is a very gracious host! We only sat for him for one night but he had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived and a book of detailed instructions for the house and all the pets. The pets are incredible! Bonnie and Rosa the dogs are very sweet and well behaved and love going for walks. Afterwords they are happy to cuddle on the couch and warm themselves by the fire. Both cats Tiger and Ede are very affectionate and talkative and will let you know when they would like to go outside. They too enjoy cuddling on the couch. The house is very cool and the area is quiet and peaceful. We also had the pleasure of meeting Judith, William‘s neighbor, who is an absolute sweetheart and very funny. We would love to sit for William, Bonnie, Rosa, Tiger and Ede again!
Taking care of Clegg was a delight. Even though he is 13 years old, he still has a character for himself. I enjoyed spending time with the dog, lovely home and the location was perfect. Clegg runs the whole relationship (literally tells you when he wants to use the bathroom or play when he barks haha it’s cute). Communication with Brett was great too! Hoping in the future I can take care of Clegg again.
