We had a great time in Blackburn with Freddie, Alfie and Ollie. Christine and Ruth are wonderful people. They picked us up at the train station and their home was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of space to stow our things and our groceries. Their home is located in Blackburn in the Mill Hill neighborhood. There are nice cafes, fish and chip shops, a library, post office and small shops within easy walking distance. The Leeds to Liverpool canal is close by and a great place to walk the dogs. Their three boys kept us entertained while we were there. Alfie loves to be close to you and gets jealous if he is not getting all of the attention. Freddie is very laid back. He is happy to lay on your lap and enjoys a good back rub. The two of them get very excited for their walks and although they don't go far, they have a good time while they are out. Ollie the cat is easy to care for. He loved to be brushed on his terms. He didn't cuddle with us but spent a lot of time with us and the two dogs relaxing in the living room. We enjoyed our stay and would enjoy returning.
This was our very first house sit for TrustedHousesitters and we must admit, we were a little nervous meeting Sarah and Chris; there is something a little unsettling going to a stranger’s home and entering their very personal space which they wholeheartedly leave in your care. Sarah and Chris were awesome! They made us feel at home right away, as if we were family or friends, and left us feeling like their house was our house (they have a beautiful home BTW). Their two cats, Tui and Kea, were so affectionate and we started playing “chase the string around the kitchen” almost right away after Sara and Chris left. Tui is very social and at night automatically slept with us. Every time we came back to the house after running errands, both cats met us at the door. We would most definitely house sit for them again (in a New York minute!).
I had the pleasure of looking after Percy and Frankie for my first sit and I really enjoyed it. The apartment is very well equipped clean, clean, bright and pretty, situated in the lively, vibrant and friendly town, Trinitat, just a short metro ride away from Barcelona. There is a widely varied choice of bus and metro services all within a short walking distance of the apartment. Theresa and Sue are lovely people. They provided me with a very comprehensive and helpful welcome guide and were easy to contact when I had any questions. They were very helpful with travel directions and even met me at the station when I arrived. They made me feel extremely welcome in their home before leaving for the airport. The two cats are adorable. Percy is very independent and only really comes in and out for his food though he did allow me to play a little with him now and then. Frankie is affectionate from the start and really enjoys human company. They are very well cared for and happy cats. I thoroughly enjoyed this sit.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of Stella and David’s home. Stella is a happy dog and easy to take care of. She loves her walks and listened well. David’s home is in an amazing quiet spot if you love taking walks on trails or on the beach. His home had everything I needed to be comfortable and has an added bonus of a great hot tub set up in a beautiful backyard. It worked out so well with my travel plans. I would definitely come sit again in the future!
Anne Marie and her family were so welcoming and kind. Netflix was a hoot-and-a-hollar and easy to care for. Great place for someone wanting to explore Austin and have a quiet retreat in the evenings. 10/10 !

I am forever grateful for the island pet Lodge. I have recently moved out of state so I am no longer using the pet Lodge weekly like I used to and I’ve started looking for a daycare near me and other places out here are horrible. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy go to one of these other places. The next time I go on vacation, and need my dog boarded I will be bringing my dog back to New York to the island pet Lodge before going on vacation. our animals are truly blessed to have a place like the island pet Lodge.
So this is my 4th and last time taking my dogs to this kennel, we have never had a problem with this place before. Picked up my dogs from a short 4 day stay. So, first off, our flight was running late, I called them as soon as we landed and asked if it was ok if I was 5 minutes to 10 minutes late picking them up because of my flight delay. They said, no because they had somewhere to be at 7pm (when they close), probably just to charge me for another day! I managed to make it there just before 7pm, put the dogs in the car, then there was a strong sense of urine on one of them and dried poop along the neck of my shepherd, which you could smell and tell they tried to wash out. Also as soon as we got home they both drank a whole bowl of water and gobbled their food down which we have never seen before, and one of them has Addison's disease and she just looked run down....We also sent 2 blankets with them which I could tell were never put on their cots because there should have been hair all over them and there wasn't, and even if they washed or dried them they should have smelled the same right, nope, they were folded and smelled the same as when we packed them. This place "used" to be great, not so much anymore! I do not recommend this place anymore!
I’ve dealt with Chris on many occasions as well as Andy. They have always treated me & my dog with the upmost respect. I notice when a car comes in, they know exactly who it is & what the name of the dog is before they even step out of the vehicle. It’s extremely evident that they are passionate about keeping our dogs safe & happy.
This place is truly amazing! My dog gets so excited to come here and mad on days he doesn’t go to daycare! The staff is extremely nice, helpful and take good care of your pets. They always greet you and your pet by name, and half the time when I pull in to pick my boy up they are already getting him ready for me to take him home!
Can't say enough good things about Island Pet Lodge. It is a great facility for all dogs, big or small. The staff are wonderful and always ready to give feedback on how your dog is doing. Whether boarding or daily day care, I would strongly recommend Island Pet Lodge to everyone.
They are really reasonably priced. Most of the staff was warm and engaging with us and our furry family member, with the exception of, when asked, we were denied the opportunity of viewing the accommodations that our baby would be staying in for a four day period, I was pretty content with the services.
Brought my dog here every day for a week while my girlfriend was out of town on vacation. The staff is very friendly and the building is a beautiful place to bring your pet. As I saw my dog every night, I could see that he was well taken care of and certainly looked after. He so looked forward to going every day and the staff knew what he had been up to every evening when I asked. A true sign he was in good hands! Very satisfied with our experience, thanks!
I don't normally review, but this place deserves it. My dogs absolutely love going there and the staff is wonderful. You can tell they truly care about animals and treat your pet like family. It is so nice to know that I have a safe place for my dogs to go when I go away and takes stress off knowing they will be well cared for. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Our three dogs go here and always come home tired from a fun filled play day. They get their baths done here too and always come home smelling great and feeling clean. They take the time to get to know your dogs and you. Very friendly and great customer service.
I dropped my dog off here for a few days of boarding and everyone I encountered from drop off to pick up was so nice. I even messaged them on Instagram for an update on her while I was away and they responded so fast that she was eating well and having fun! I will definitely bring her back if I need to board her again in the future.
