Susan
This was a wonderful sit! Sue and Steve are gracious hosts. I was greeted by Sue when I pulled up in the driveway and I immediately felt welcomed, more like catching up with friends for a weekend than meeting for the first time.

Their home is warm and inviting, and Sue took time to show me where everything was located to make my stay easy and comfortable. Afterwards, we went to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant and It was lovely getting to them over dinner.

Cody and Cooper are brothers from the same litter and just the sweetest dogs. Cooper is a bit more independent, while Cody stuck to me. They both got lots of belly rubs and ear scratches, and maybe more than a couple dog cookies over the weekend. Their feeding schedule was easy, and they let me know when it was treat time in the evening. Sue printed out the Welcome Guide for easy reference. It was thorough and well written, giving me all the information I needed to take care of Cooper and Cody. They were so much fun, and I was sorry the weekend went by so quickly.

I hope to sit for Cooper and Cody again.

I highly recommend this sit!!!

Elena
Elena and Panos are communicative, gracious, and generous. This home and its four kitties are wonderful and tidy, and kitty care is straightforward.

I love classic wary cats who evaluate before they trust :) There are two of those here! Ellie and Poe are skittish, and I'd suggest leaving the house for a few hours the first day or two so that they can feel safe to come out from hiding to eat and poop and sniff your scent. I did this by chance and I think it really helped us all settle in.

Ellie is my favorite of the four. She's a GHOST until she's not. When she decides you're alright to be around, you'll then have to get used to hearing her growl at the kittens (even when on your lap). Ellie is so affectionate, and she may have the strongest purrr motor I've ever experienced! She can cuddle-roll so hard it becomes a somersault in your lap.

Cowboy is very sweet and gentle. He's always lurking for a potential extra drop of food when he hears you in the kitchen.

Destu is as naughty as he is soft. I can't tell if play time helps tucker him out or instead serves to wind him up to be more naughty. Most days there's a flurry of activity before dawn. You can just perk your ear for any truly extraordinary sounds that should be investigated, else go back to sleep (I didn't figure this out until later).

Poe is chatty! Poe's litanies of trills and mrow-ow barks are adorable and I already miss his chirpy parades through the house.

One of the most important things I wish I knew beforehand is that three of the outside neighborhood/stray kitties look like three of the inside kitties. There's the orange tabby (actually Ellie's brother!), a black and white Cowboy lookalike (once you know Cowboy, you can tell the outside kitty is scrawnier), and the tabby with the white front and feets like Destu. When you don't know this, the surprise of seeing them outside hits a little hard.

...and it feels great to feed the outside kitties. Some days, the outside kitty bowl might not get touched for half the day. But I've also topped off a prematurely empty bowl and seen an outside kitty eating not two minutes later.

Final note is that I had an intolerance / allergic reaction to something I tracked down to the secondary kitchen sink drain. Squirts of hydrogen peroxide down both sink drains helped immensely, but it encroached again after a week.

Special acknowledgement to Elena's leftover half roast chicken that was cooked so perfectly, so tender. It fed me over five days of mixed meals -- in sandwiches, in salad, with rice. Unexpected bonus!

Hannah
Hannah’s home is an oasis in the middle of Crown Heights, and Oliver is a super cute and playful kitty who will provide endless amusement! Hannah is a helpful and communicative host. Parking was easy too if you’re planning to drive - though I was there on a holiday weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hannah and Oliver’s!

Veronica
We had an amazing time in DC! Veronica and Tripp were so welcoming. They are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home right away. Their apartment is beautiful and we caught amazing sunsets from the second bedroom. We had dinner with them the night before the sit started and we really enjoyed getting to know them and the dogs.

Chubbs and Chancho are very friendly and loving. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with love. They were very easy to take care of and it was fun getting to know their cute personalities. We really enjoyed our walks and playtime with them. They are so love able and they truly captured our hearts. They always greeted us with lots of love anytime we returned to the apartment. We will miss them and all their love and cuddles. We would definitely return in the future.

Mayur
Bobby was a pleasure to care for. He is a good boy, very sweet and loves to cuddle. Take him on walks and he’ll show you the neighborhood.
Mayur was pleasant and easy to deal with. He was responsive to communications.

The apartment was clean: a bachelor pad with all the necessities and a temperamental building entrance lock.

But the location could not be more fabulous. You are in the center of La Latina, a trendy, young neighborhood full of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of central Madrid.

Abby
Abby was an excellent host! We came to Annecy to pet sit Oreo and Cosmo and had a great time. During our stay, we told Abby we wanted to go skiing and she gave us a full list of where to go. And, even let us borrow some gloves! Oreo, her bunny, was such an easy sit and was adorable every time we fed him. Cosmo, their pup, was the happiest gal around! She was such a pleasure to watch and we had lots of fun with her.

We had a wonderful time pet sitting for Abby and would highly recommend if you get a chance!
