Coco and Jerry are such joys to hang out with. Coco loved belly rubs and infinite cuddles. Jerry was ready to play and sun bathe all day. Heather’s home is a beautiful place with a gorgeous view and so much in walking distance. We would pet sit at her home any time :)
We had a great time looking after Cookie. The house is lovely and surrounded by nature and places to walk among the fields. Scott is super generous and fun to be around, we actually learnt a lot from him. He also recommended a lot of activities near the area, like lakes, chateaus, beautiful towns, etc. There's lots to do. Regarding Cookie, she is a very sweet dog and was always and eager to go on long walks. Even though she is still a pup, she is very independent and well trained. We kept in touch with Scott and hopefully will meet him and Cookie again in the future. Definitely a great sit!
We could go on and on about this experience and still be at a loss for words. Our stay in Collioure was absolutely fantastic in every way. Right from the moment we arrived, Nicky and Leonardo greeted us in the most incredible way (they even picked us up in their car, which made our arrival so much easier). Everything was perfectly planned and prepared, and we had a blast spending time and sharing an evening with them. It truly felt like being at home. Nicky was an awesome guide, showing us the secrets of this beautiful town and some neighboring villages. And let me tell you, Leonardo cooked up a typical meal from his homeland that left our taste buds in awe. They are wonderful people, and we believe that, apart from having an amazing housesitting experience, we've gained two great friends. Now, let's talk about the stars of this experience—our adorable friends Tiki, Bali, and Habibi. These three dogs are just too cute, and they each have their own unique personality. Bali was our loyal companion throughout, and giving her heart medication was a breeze. Habibi is incredibly sweet and calm. She loves to eat and sleep, although she also enjoys her walks. And Tiki, well, he truly lives up to his nickname "The Boss." He's got quite the street personality, and it's a riot to watch him in action. But once he's home, he's the sweetest thing ever, climbing onto the bed in the morning to give us hugs and kisses. We've grown so fond of them in such a short time. They're truly friendly, great companions, and so much fun. We had a fantastic vacation together. We obviously have to mention that the house is incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was such a pleasure to spend time there, relaxing, working, and cooking. The outdoor terrace is an amazing spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon and have meals. It's in the heart of Collioure and everything seems so close when you're there: the beach, the castle, the market. We couldn't imagine a best place to stay in this town! We will be forever grateful to Nicky and Leonardo for giving us this incredible opportunity and trusting us, especially since it was our first experience on this platform. We wholeheartedly recommend this opportunity to everyone, and without a doubt, it's an experience worth repeating.
Pet sitting a gaggle of kittens with an unlimited supply of organic peaches picked fresh off the tree was a dream come true, to say the least. Johna's house is magical at first site, full of beautiful art and unique touches, with delicious fall fruit just dripping off the trees. Her cat Soma is an elegant and gentle fluff noodle - playful, energetic, easy going, soft, and snuggly. The foster kittens were so fun to feed and play with, providing a constant source of love, affection, and entertainment. I miss them already. Johna was wonderful about having raw cat food ready to go for us in the freezer, and providing a system of friends, family, and a Feline & Friends expert available to us as a 24/7 line of support. Caring for foster kittens is a fulfilling, worthwhile adventure that takes a village, and they were with us every step. She has a admirable setup: ample litter boxes, toys, water fountains, beds, scratching posts, and everything growing kitties need. It was heartwarming to see everyone so well cared for. As a local myself I can vouch the neighborhood is walkable to some of the best food and activities New Mexico has to offer. With my hands full of kitten care, I happily relied on delicious takeout from Masa Sushi and Bumblebee's Burritos. I didn't have much time to cook but loved being walking distance to the La Montanita Food Co-Op for the miscellaneous items I needed. Another close walk is Thrive Yoga & Cycle and Santa Fe Spa, some of my favorite places to get in exercise in town. There is also a spacious backyard and movement studio if you prefer to workout at home. Because we are local to Santa Fe, I mostly cared for the cats while my husband Mike was remodeling our house. This worked well because the futon is probably best for sleeping one, but if you are a couple someone could take the very large and comfy couch. Of course, Mike popped in often to support the effort helping find or fix things as an excuse to get as much kitten time as possible. This sit delivered everything I needed: a solid coffee setup and strong wifi connection that allowed me to focus on work for the week. My co-workers were especially delighted by Zoom call cat appearances, such as sweet and spicy Nalini purring on my neck all day. This was a special and unique experience to remember. I'm so grateful to Johna for doing the important work of fostering baby kittens, and the opportunity to support her effort.
Christy and Andrew were extremely welcoming and very thorough in their instructions. It made looking after precious Mittens and the hens a breeze. Mittens is very independent and can be bribed with food if you need to get her back in the house! And she’s a great cuddle companion and alarm clock. The hens are also low maintenance and easy to care for! Their home is in a great location and they provided great local recommendations. Would love to housesit for this great family anytime!
