Alyssa took care of my cat Millie and watered my plants for almost three weeks. She communicated with me daily and texted photos of Millie looking content (and not missing me at all). When I returned home, my home was neat, the towels washed, and the bed made up with clean sheets. It was easy to work with Alyssa. She is trustworthy and responsible, and I highly recommend her. I would invite her to sit for me again in a heartbeat.
Sarah was a great sitter. My cat warmed up to her right away, and she had no problem giving her medication. She left my apartment clean and tidy! Thanks Sarah!
Sunette is a darling! She took very good care of Beato & our home. We can’t wait to have her back.
Debbi and Ettienne are amazing home and cat owners! Their two cats, Nelson and Desmond who are brothers from the same litter, are extremely sweet, well behaved and full of personality. They've got their own cat door to go in and out of to roam and it is locked and synchronized to their own microchips to keep bully neighbour cats out of the house. Debbi and Ettienne are amazing hosts as well! Ettienne, who was a chef, cooked us all a lovely dinner of hamburgers, chips, and wine and cheesecake pudding dessert pairings the first evening after collecting me from the train station. After our meal, we watched the television a bit and the cats came up to snuggle in the meantime. The next morning, Debbi and Ettienne left for Birmingham airport to fly to Singapore and few days later Melbourne, Australia on their 5 week combined work and holiday trip. Ettienne left me with a few snacks in the fridge and freezer to enjoy my first couple days as well as a lovely bottle of French wine. The cats were a little uneasy the first day or two, but warmed up to me and got quite cuddly very soon, sleeping almost every night on the foot of the guest bed made up for me. I worked on my laptop and Desmond especially enjoyed cuddling up to me for pets and cuddles on the sofa. Many mornings I woke up to a sweet kitty nuzzling and wanting cuddles! I was so appreciative of the detailed welcome guide and cat and home instructions that Ettienne had typed up. Ettienne also kindly left me his bicycle as well as the key to the garage to access it and a bike lock to take with me so that I could securely park it while out on the town. Debbi left me a local bus card and Ettienne quickly drove me to the closest stop that had a kiosk at which the card could be activated moments before leaving for the airport. I only had to use the bus card once to get to city centre, other than that I found the area extremely walk-able and even more bike-able. You can reach Lidl's, discount grocery store, in a 15 minute walk, and Tesco's, supermarket grocery store, in under 20 minutes on foot. It's even quicker if you take the bike and both stores have bike parking facilities out front.Just remember to bring the lock and do memorize the lock code. Mind you, while I stayed in Coventry, the coronavirus broke out across the globe and the U.K. went into lockdown. Debbi and Ettienne were so communicative and helpful even though they were half a globe away, talking to me via WhatsApp and arranging either an early or later return than originally planned subject to global flight restrictions. I sent them plenty of photos and videos of Nelson and Desmond for moral support and just cause in the meantime. We managed to set something up in respect to nationally advised social distance guidelines and due to circumstances we elected to avoid direct contact on their return and they told me where to safely leave the house keys so that I could depart for a train back to London before they arrived back at the home. Anyone that is offered this sitting is especially privileged and will really enjoy the company of Nelson and Desmond! I've already asked Debbi and Ettienne to consider me again in the future if ever our paths should cross again.
