I had the best sit with Miszka and Boshi at Max and Romy’s place! The cats are just adorable and so funny- their acrobatic antics with their wand toys had me laughing out loud. Miszka is such a gorgeous cuddly cat and I think she wanted to stow away in my suitcase at the end, she was curled up so cosily that it was a wrench to leave her! And Boshi going crazy in his wee cat tunnel with the toys.. such a scream. I already miss them! The flat is in the east end of Glasgow - a cool area with plenty of shops and restaurants - check out the Polish restaurant Happy Meal for delicious pierogi. And it’s a quick bus ride to Central Glasgow. I was able to fit in a couple of cultural visits during the day to art galleries and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay- my first sit! Max left detailed instructions and communication was clear throughout. Thank you to Max and Romy.

Everything was perfect about this house sit and Jessy was a really “cool cat”.

His owner Denise and her friend John made me feel very welcome and at home allowing me to spend the night at John’s house before they both left on their short vacation the next morning, which marked the start of my three day home sit looking after Jessy in beautiful Strasbourg.

John and I had a great chat getting to know each other, which I found interesting and Denise was great with all the communication beforehand and during my stay at her house.

Things were very clearly explained to me, although I personally didn’t find it easy to get Jessy to accept my feeding him his water straight into his mouth with the syringe, I managed to circumvent that issue by giving him his smaller portions of food on a more regular basis mixing in more water which he had less of a problem accepting, making sure that he stayed well-hydrated anyways.

So as far as I’m concerned, it was a great place to spend a few days with an also very communicative cat, who almost gave me the impression that he could read the clock and always knew when it was time for to get fed his food at exactly the right time, the way Denise had predicted it to me.

A great experience, which I can highly recommend to all you other Housesitters out there. Thanks, Denise, John and Jessy for your very nice welcome! I’m looking forward to seeing you again sometime in the future!

Sara
This was an amazing sit with incredible pets and a truly beautiful home. We spent a weekend reading books, playing cribbage, going for walks, and watching for whales.
Sara is tremendously kind and easy to ask questions. All the pets warmed up to us quickly and we had snuggles with them all (other than Buzz who was exploring).
We would love to sit again for Sara

Hannah
We had the loveliest time taking care of Cookie. She only needed a couple minutes to get used to us, watching from the garden and then came in to be petted and fed. She enjoys attention/petting and is playful sometimes in the evenings. She slept on the bed all nights and sat on the settee with us as well. She seemed to enjoy eating her wet food especially when we were also in the kitchen and she eats little and often. I think she's the loudest purring cat I've ever heard. :)

Hannah is super communicative and we felt very welcomed. The house has super fast wifi, a comfy bath, kitchen complete with oven, an extra fridge/freezer, and has parking on the driveway. Despite the cold weather it was super comfy indoors. We went on some lovely walks from the front door. Because of the cold we didn't sit in the garden but I imagine it would be a great reading spot in the summer months.

We definitely recommend this sit and would return any time if the dates are suitable.

I loved caring for Rayven and Smokey. They are the sweetest, adorable boys. The area is quaint for walking Rayven who's very easy on the leash. You might find yourself walking ahead of him when it's hot. lol Plus, I felt immediately at home with anything one might need. Hoping to return in the future!

Meggie
Meggie's home was very welcoming and hospitable overall. As fellow fans of Star Wars, we appreciated the decorating style! It's on the second floor with stairs (which we were told), and it's on a quiet street with plenty of street parking.

Ella is very cute and friendly, and despite her age, she's still very spry and loves to go on walks. Occasionally, she would urinate indoors but always went on the pee pads that were provided. Ella also occasionally barks but only when she saw another dog on the back patio, which was rare.

TK was also friendly in the moments we interacted. Some moments, we were curious where TK was but the mystery was always solved when we looked under the bed!

Over the course of our time there, we grew fond of TK and Ella. The guidance and instructions for the home and pets were very clear, and we would love to house sit for Meggie in the future if we ever are back in the area!
