Rachel is amazing with my 8 year old Golden Retriever! She is always reliable, flexible, and sends regular updates (and photos!) to ease my mind. I travel a lot for work and it’s so important for me to know that my pup is in good and loving hands while I’m away. I never worry when he’s with Rachel!

Rachel has been watching my older pup for over a year now, between weekly walks and occasional overnight stays, he has always been happy and well taken care of. To All Pet Owners, my husband and I have over 3 decades of owning dogs, dogs, birds, dogs, dogs, birds, and dogs, dogs, dogs. At this time in our lives, we have no family to sit with our dogs when needed, nor neighborhood friends who can take them in their homes. We have relied on boarding at our Vets, but always preferred to have our dogs remain in our home. We tried that too, and just did not work out - people not being with our dogs when they said they would, charging us when not here (found on video camera), and more unsatisfactory experiences. Still, we searched on, committed to find "the right and best place" for our new dogs: puppy Ogden, with us now for 4 mos, and 8 yo adopted Molly, with us now for 5 months and immediately loved Ogden as her own. They are both happy, healthy and loving life with us - we had to find a loving home that would care for them as we do. And we found them: Jen McKay's Nuts About Mutts!!! We found her business card in our neighborhood park where we walk and run our dogs and my husband saved them, and made the call the day before our trip, for which we were planning boarding at our Vets when I just was so worried to leave them because they would have to board longer than needed, but also caging them up. We called Jen at 8am and by 11am we were at her beautiful, comfortable, welcoming and pet-safe home for us and our bassets to meet her and see her home. We made the decision then to have our Ogden and Molly stay with her the next day for the duration of our trip with Jen's newly adopted 8 yo Nala, and another pup - Magnolia - 3 girls with our boy Ogden. Jen's intake process was refreshing - crossing all the "T's" and dotting all the "i's" for assuring their seamless care in her family home. Ogden sniff out toys, toys, toys, while Molly sniffed out food and treats. Jen provided such a welcoming and comforting home environment that was fully set up for a safe and secure temporary home for mutts! It was obvious from the start how much Jen loves pets and to have them in her family home from the toys, safe chews, bedding, room to roam-run-play inside and outside, and places to rest and sleep. While Molly is not one to sleep in bed with us, Ogden does. And Ogden slept in bed with her. Jen updated us throughout the days and evenings and sent pictures. We are 200% happy with her care of our new family and know that Jen McKay is the pet sitter that we have been searching for all these years - to be able to leave our pups with her and have full confidence in her care for them is the desire we all have and share in common - to know they will be in a loving environment and will have loving hands on them until our return. Jen was fully accessible to us, to drop off and pick up - even into the night. If she had to evacuate while we were gone overseas, across the country, our dogs would be with her - that is the confidence she provides to pet owners. We have promised Ogden and Molly that Jen's home will be their second home in St. Pete FL - for short and long stays and day care to play with others and have more friends. Jen is awesome! She stayed at our house with our dogs for 4 nights. She sent us updates and lots of great pictures. The pups were clearly having a great time with her. She asked about their quirks, behavior, medications, favorite toys & behaviors so they could be at ease with her. We felt very comfortable with her in our home. She even watered the plants & brought in the mail. Highly recommend Jen for your pups happiness while you’re away.

Finding Jen and her Nuts about Mutts pet sitting service was a blessing in disguise! The daily updates, pictures, and videos helped put our minds and hearts at ease when we traveled without our new rescue pup. Jen was wonderful! My pet sitter cancelled last minute before my trip and Jen luckily had a cancellation. She had me and my dog, Emma, come for a visit prior to her stay, so that we (my dog and I) would both feel more confident. She really cares about her boarders and this helped me feel more at ease that Emma was in good hands. I loved getting the daily photos and updates! Jen is wonderful, we are so glad to have found her! Our dogs are our babies, so we’re *very* particular when it comes to our dogs. Additionally, one of our dogs can be reactive with other dogs & has a few health issues that require daily meds (and a watchful eye). Having read other reviews I was hopeful Jen would be a good fit for our needs. The meet + greet went so well and relieved my concerns. Jen is thorough, experienced and serious about everyone’s safety and happiness. Fast forward to our trip, she honored our preference of daily updates with pics of happy dogs in a cozy home. We were shocked to see our “reactive” dog hanging happily with the crew a few days into their stay. You can tell she truly loves all the fur babies that come into her home. The boys are thankful for their new Aunt Jen!

Jen is the best! Our dog, Luke, can be shy with strangers, but he fell in love with her right away when she came over to meet him before the pet sitting even began. It was our first time leaving him with a sitter, and we were nervous because he isn’t the easiest dog, but felt so much better after meeting Jen and seeing how he took to her. Jen gave him all the love he would have gotten if we were home with him, and kept us feeling confident with regular updates and pictures of our boy having a great time. It allowed us to have such a relaxed trip knowing Luke was well taken care of. We’ll be using her again.

Jen was amazing! We had to make last minute arrangements for someone to take care of our very big fur kid and Jen was incredible. She was quick to respond and was very on top of things. I’ve worked with Sam in California and my dog just loves her. She is a wonderful person and has a true gift with animals. My dog is 13 and a little bit high maintenance and she knows exactly how to handle him. She is extremely responsible and it gives me such peace of mind knowing my dog Napoleon is in her care. J. Tails is the absolute best! My girl is always so excited to see her friends and play. The staff is always sweet and kind. Pick up and drop off is fast and seamless. I look forward to seeing Poppy's daily report card and being able to check in on her via the cameras through out the day. I know she is in great hands there, and the staff treats her like she was their own.

Our dog had an amazing first day at J. Tails in Saint Pete! We love to support a local business in our community and they are such a cool local doggie daycare! My process for making sure everything was ready for our pup Reba was easy using the website they have available for signing up. Reba’s first day was free which was really awesome, and makes the experience risk free. It’s important to have your dog’s vaccines up to date, and then I just took a picture of the records and uploaded them to their doggie portal. Then when you go to sign your dog up for anything you can go online, pay for the day, pay for extra treats, etc and it’s all ready and organized for you. That way when you go to get your dog, there’s no cash or cards you need to take out & hand over while you’re trying to get your dog(s) at the end of the stay. The prices are great, the daycare is definitely smaller in terms of the number of dogs, which was great for us because our dog is a little intimidated by being in a high volume daycare. Listen I know that may make me sound like I’m a crazy dog lady! But I think some would understand that our dog is a Pit Mix, so it can be stressful for dog owners with Pitties to drop them off at the groomers or daycare because of the misconceptions about the breed. If she barks or gets anxious, I have seen some people react out of fear. But we have worked very hard on training her for a year and we know how loving and sweet she is. So it was a huge huge relief that everyone at J. Tails was understanding and went above & beyond to make us feel they were familiar with dogs like her— sweet and gentle dogs, but with lots of energy and often misunderstand. When I dropped off Reba I spoke with Mattie who was so kind! They helped Reba adjust to the new smells and environment before I left and they were so thoughtful and kind. During Reba’s temperament test and daycare visit, they texted us a picture of Reba in the kiddie pools having a blast with an awesome update of how she was doing! That was so sweet because I love seeing her having fun with the dogs instead of worrying if she is behaving or scared. When we went to pick her up, she was so excited to see us and she wasn’t scared at all. The folks at the front desk told us how much they loved her and that they had a great day getting to meet her. Seriously just the sweetest people working there, and you can tell everybody there are absolutely wonderful dog people who make sure your dog is safe AND having fun all day. They made us smile because they truly care about your animal. So we were very impressed. We are J. Tails customers now for sure! We used to bring our dog to a bigger less structured doggie daycare and we noticed that her behavior was regressing. By that I mean she was barking a lot more at people, she was nervous often, and though she did like going, she came home stressed and smelling like floor cleaner/sanitizer from the kennels. So we were really surprised and happy that by the time we got her in the car we noticed she didn’t smell like anything! I think her getting to go in the kiddie pool might have even made her smell cleaner than before we dropped her off 😂. Everything from the caring and thoughtful customer service, the easy enrollment and payment system, to the fact that you can watch live video feed of the dogs playing while they are at daycare (accessible only if you have a dog registered for that day)… We were just very happy and so impressed. Our family LOVES J Tails now and we highly recommend this daycare if you are looking for somewhere to bring your pup.

Easiest 5 star review I’ve had in a while! This doggy day care was exactly what we needed while on vacation. They really do take care of the dogs like they are their own, pricing is very reasonable, and you get these enjoyable “pupdates” each day! You can also check on your pups via webcams once they are checked in for the day. Don’t hesitate to use this day care!

The staff is friendly and patient, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the pricing is very fair for the level of care. J. Tail’s emphasis on safety and well being, as well as the ratio of dogs to human supervision (1 person per 15 dogs) helps me feel confident trusting them with my rambunctious boy. I also appreciate the enrichment activities they offer during nap time—adorable and perfect for my high energy dog. Definitely looking forward to using their daycare and boarding services in the future!

I have a high energy dog that started out really nervous at daycare. After a few weeks going to J.Tails a couple times a week, he runs toward the door when we get there. They have small playgroups of dogs with similar size/temperament, a fun outdoor play area, and someone with their pups at all times. I love that I can check on him throughout the day on their cameras and I look forward to the photos and “pupdates” they provide. We love J.Tails

I absolutely love JTails! They take such good care of my pup and I always get the cutest pictures of him on their Instagram. The staff is super sweet and I know they treat all the dogs so well! I never worry when my dog is under their care. They also offer very reasonable pricing and their facilities are kept nicely. I highly recommend! The staff at J.Tails are so loving and attentive when taking care of my pet. I recently overnight boarded my dog at J.Tails and never worried about his care. When I leave him for the day, he comes home exhausted from a fun day of play. I highly recommend J. Tails for taking care of your pets.

J. Tails is the best. We are so glad we found this place! We have now done the daycare and boarding service. The staff is very friendly and caring. I really appreciate the "pupdates" on how our dog behaved that day. They also have video feeds, which is a plus.

We like to drop our dog off for daycare during the week so she can socialize and get some exercise while we are at work. She is so excited to go every time and we know she’s safe and well cared for at JTails. The pupdates at the end of the day are awesome and they take so many good photos and videos.

My dog loves his place! We had gotten referred here a few times after taking our dog to Mutts and Martini. I called in and they mentioned he would need to take a temperament test which took less than 10 minutes. I appreciate that they make you go through this and fill out paperwork for rabies Prior to coming in. My dog was tired when we got him afterward, and the price for a day is quite reasonable. I also appreciate the rear really flexible you want to bring the dogs in and you don’t have to have a set schedule. It helps immensely for, my schedule. I can’t wait to bring him back to play with all of his new friends! EDIT: I didn’t realize that they don’t feed your dog throughout the day and after their year old, it is five dollars for them to give your dog food. I wish I would’ve known that from the beginning.

My experience at Love My Dog & Playground was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I dropped off my furry princess, I knew she was in good hands. My dog typically suffers from nervousness-induced hot spots, but this time was different. The staff at Love My Dog & Playground took such excellent care of her that she came out looking not just happy but genuinely refreshed. It's evident they pay close attention to each pet's needs and comfort. The facilities are impressive; they have a spacious and clean playground where dogs can play and socialize. The attention to cleanliness and hygiene was reassuring, especially for someone like me who is particular about my dog's health. What truly sets this place apart is the staff's dedication and love for the dogs. They treat each pet like royalty, ensuring they are not just cared for but genuinely loved during their stay. I highly recommend Love My Dog & Playground to anyone looking for a top-notch resort where their dog will not only be well taken care of but will also enjoy a vacation of their own. Love My Pet Resort is the only place I have left my Siberian Husky, Lexi, and actually felt good about the experience I know she is having while there. She is always anxious to get inside when dropping her off. Upon picking her up, she is just as happy to share what a wonderful and exciting day she had while there!

Update: I received a call from the Manager at the 54th Ave Love My Dog location with a sincere apology and solution. We will now be taking our dogs to 54th Ave, where they truly value you as long term clients and the customer service is top-notch. Thank you, Angela! Original: This used to be the best run daycare and boarding in the area but things have changed. It’s now all about the money and up charging. We’ve taken our dogs here since 2018 but will not continue. There are plenty of other places to take your dogs that care more about the animals than the money. Sad to be leaving this review.

This is a great place to bring your dog for the day!! The staff was very helpful and they love dogs so much. They were quick to respond about getting my pup’s vaccination records approved, so I brought her in for the temperament test. They approved her immediately and actually let her have her first day of daycare that same day! I’m so happy to find a place that will take her and my dog had a great day. For new dogs, they place a blue collar on them so the staff knows which dogs are new to the group. I thought that was awesome and a sweet thing to know when I dropped her off for the day. This is an excellent place to bring your puppy or dog and I highly recommend to puppy parents who need a break!! $28 for the full day (4 or more hours). Worth it 😂

I want to give a huge shout out to Michelle Hatt for making Vito Corleone and Sofia Loren's stay a happy one. After a minor snafu in scheduling Michelle made it right immediately. This facility is always clean and everyone extremely pleasant when entering the building. I would also like to give a great big thank you to Amanda who sent me these photos of my babies celebrating the 4th of July and a photo of them in their room. I used to send my dog there for day care regularly for months, with no issues. One day, I got a call that my dog had a scab, that opened and bled and they isolated him from other dogs to not get infected, and I should come pick him up. I knew that he had no scabs. When I went home and carefully examined him, I saw that he was bitten in 3 areas. I rushed him to the doctor and he gave him antibiotics for a week. The doctor confirmed that the wounds were bit wounds. Unfortunately one of the wounds got infected and my dog had to do a small operation to clean the pus and put a drainage tube for one week. He healed now. I called Love My Dog Resort to complain and asked them how could this happen without their knowledge. The response I got was "No one reported any incident, but I will check again and get back to you". I also emailed them. No one cared to call or email me back.

This place is good and big, your dogs will love this. If you are coming down to St.Pete with your dog and your dog is not allowed on the beach or places you are visiting or you are going on a boat. I only have two stars, because of how they handled the money. I was going out of town for a 8 days, and my vet said they would board Sophi for $35/night, but I knew she was going to be a cage that entire time and I wanted her to have fun. So I quickly called Love my Dog, and I went by for a tour. It looked perfect. I asked “how much is boarding?” They said $50/ night Alright, well it is more than my vet but worth it, she will be able to play with other dogs. After my 8 day trip (not a fun trip, btw) I get home to pick her up and my bill is $700!!!!! Wait WTH? “Oh” they said, it is $50 + $18 / day for “daycare” WAIT! WHAT!!! No one told me that. No one explained that. No asked me to confirm I was good with that! Was there an option? Nope! Just hand over $700 Holy Hell! That extra was NOT disclosed, not discussed, and no option on choosing to opt in for extra anything! So, Buyer Beware! On the other hand, they were great with my new puppy, and I appreciate that. 💜 But that is a BIG difference in budget from $50/day to $68+ tax / day!!!

Nancy has been sitting for us for almost 3 years. She is the best! Our dog, Daisy, absolutely adores her. It's hard when you cant take your pet with you. Maria was able to accommodate an extremely last minute request to care for my 8-month old goldendoodle puppy for a week. It was my first time leaving him with anyone and I was anxious and worried. Adding to that, was poor timing because my puppy was under some medication he needed to take daily. Maria took excellent care of my fur baby and i found a very happy Puppy upon my return which means he was well cared for. I would use Precious Pets Pet care again and would also recommend them.

Omaira was referred to us from a client of ours who also uses her services. Our dog Coco is very timid and scared around people she doesn’t know. OMaira took the time to come and visit her 2 different times before we hired her to make sure that Coco would be comfortable around her. Maria is an amazing dog walker. She has walked our Westie for about 2 years. Seeing Maria is our pup's favorite part of the day. We always know that she is in great hands while we are at work. Maria is also extremely flexible with our changing schedules and is always happy to take the dog for an extra walk on short notice when we have a late night. If you are looking for reliable pet care with someone who truly loves her clients like they are her own pets, look no further!

Had to visit aging parents in Midwest and didn't feel taking a 9 mo Labrador would be good idea with unsteady parents. So we arranged to leave "Bosco" at Camp Salty Dog while we were away on our 2 week road trip. HE DIDN'T WANNA COME HOME!! He was well cared for by Travis Hess and staff. Lots of time to run outside in large enclosed play areas with other camp guest...HE LOVED IT ! (I think he meet a red haired girlfriend, but he wont say much bout it.) Will use Camp Salty Dog anytime we need daycare or overnight stays for Bosco !! Very reasonable rates and your "baby" will be well cared for!!

We LOVE Camp Salty Dog 🐕 The most amazing staff and very affordable for day camp and overnight stays. My baby boy LOVES going here. He gets so excited when I ask him if he is ready for camp. He always sleeps like a baby when he comes home from all of the fun he has. Also, a bath and nail trim at the end of his stay is awesome. So grateful to have been referred here from a colleague who's dog has been going here for year's. Definitely recommend for day camp and boarding.

We have an overactive, over-friendly, 80lb hound/lab mix and we needed to find a place that could handle her size, energy and goofiness. We were referred here by a family friend and we have been very happy with every visit Even she has been super happy making the drive from Dunedin to Camp Salty Dog. She gets excited to go and is always lively and happy when she's picked up. No issues other than her trying to jump over one of the doors to get in there. The owner and staff have been super helpful and we cannot say enough about how great this camp is

4th time having my dogs stay at Camp Salty and every time they seem to have a great experience! I get them bathed before pick up and they make it a great convenience to have a good sitter you can count on locally. I was weary the first time after reading old reviews but I can honestly say I haven't had any of those experiences. Staff has always been kind and helpful!

My boyfriend and I drove down to St.Pete to visit family. We brought our fur babies along with us and had planned on boarding them at Camp Salty Dog. This is a great establishment & you can tell that the staff are true dog lovers. Our 2 labs had a blast and they seemed to truly love their experience there, with the staff, and the other dogs. Our pups played so hard that they were exhausted and slept the whole ride home to NC. I would highly recommend this place for daycare or boarding. You won’t be disappointed!

Camp Salty Dog is great! My dog has been going here for 4 years and loves it. The prices are relatively cheap compared to others. Max is my favorite employee because my dog gets super excited to see him and Max always provides an update of what my dog did all day. My dog is a boxer pit bull mix and goes in the big dog splay area.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and they remember my dog almost 6 months after boarding him. Its the most affordable place to board your dog in a cage free environment at only 30$ a day where they have plenty of friends to hang out with. Additionally it is one of the very few that do not charge extra for anything with the day camp included. My dog had so much fun last time he did not want to come home.

My two dogs have stayed at Camp Salty multiple times. They are open early and flexible on drop off and pickups which makes it easy. The owners breed labs so they really know dogs and how to care for them. Highly recommended.

My mutt Annie has stayed a couple of nights on two different occasions. Both times she had a bath just prior to us picking her up. She comes home and sleeps like a baby. She is very sociable and likes to play with the other dogs, which she gets her fill of. I have had zero issues with the people I have dealt with. They have all been friendly and appear to be dog lovers. They seem to like her and based upon her reaction when we took her there the other day, she likes them as well and couldn't wait to get in with the other dogs. I can only think that the couple of unfavorable reports from a year ago helped the staff make any necessary changes. It has been all positive so far with us.

We love Farley! Erica does a great job managing what seems like organized chaos. She’s always prepared for any situation, has a great setup and a welcoming (and experienced) spirit that puts you at ease. Goldie always has a great time on her stays and comes home exhausted. I cannot recommend her enough!

Erica is fantastic and provides such a total package of care. First, she is very organized which is really important when all the details have to be right for our dogs to get the right care and feeding. Her house is set up wonderfully with a great backyard for playtime. And lastly, she is very responsive when you reach out, as well as providing frequent updates through the app. Both of our dogs seemed very relaxed and happy to be there. Oh wait, the most important thing…she is a veterinary nurse!! This gave us such comfort since both our dogs are over 14 years old.

We had a truly great experience having our pups stay with Erica of Farley Pet Care. Erica is caring, loving, and very efficient when it comes to running the show. My 2 dogs are over 50 lbs, and can get a bit rambunctious. Erica suggested a trial over-night which was great for all parties concerned! She has a great outdoor play area for the pups and warmly welcomes them into her home as part of the family. We were on a bit of a lengthy vacation and Erica sent photos daily with updates which put my mind at ease tremendously. We were all able to relax and know the dogs were very well taken care of. Bonus...they were exhausted when we picked them up! I highly recommend Erica and Farley Pet Care to anyone who asks.

Our puppy Linguine was very well taken care with Farley Pet Care. He had experienced an issue that caused him to be temporarily blind and a little wobbly. My wife and I were going to be out of the country and wanted to make sure that our dog was properly cared for. Erica took such great care of our little guy. We almost feel like it was doggy rehab, since he got to spend time running and playing with other dogs. The journal updates were great and made us very happy to see that he was being loved and cared for while we were away.

The team that does nail trim clinics at Pet Food Warehouse did an amazing job with my huge Great Pyrenees puppy, Zander. They were very kind and patient with my big dramatic, whiny baby. Great job and thank you so much!

We brought our dog Chloe to Farley Pet Care for a stay from January 25th to January 29th. First time Chloe was away from us, and she adapted beautifully to being in the home rather than in a kennel. Erica was very accommodating to our needs as we were detained in our travels and in picking up Chloe.
