We spent a week in July at Jo’s place in Glen Innes looking after Barney, Patty & Monty. Arriving after Jo & family had departed on their holiday, we were greeting by an excited Barney, who was an absolute delight to care for. He is extremely obedient and loves his walks, especially chasing the swallows in the park. There are lots of parks close to their home & we also recommend stopping at Picco Eatery on Roberta Rd for a coffee & muffin or for a meal. You’ll hardly see Patty, who spends most time outside, returning home at mealtime. As the matriarch of the family Monty is predominantly an inside cat who can be quite vocal, letting you know he is hungry quite regularly.
A couple of things about the house to be aware of. Garage access is quite tight, down a shared drive (there is another property at the back) and the photos on the THS website when we booked, look to be staged real-estate photos, rather than the current furniture & fit-out - it’s absolutely fine, just different. For example the kitchen layout has changed, but is still fully functional. There’s also a spa on the deck, although we didn’t use it.
Our overall experience was positive - Barney is an exceptional, loving dog who clearly enjoys being with people, he’s great company and really makes Jos place an enjoyable house sit.

Rachel
Tim and I enjoyed our stay with Jax in Rachel's beautiful home.

Jax was a lot of fun to look after, he is such a character with a playful nature. He loved going for walks with us just as much as he enjoyed his belly rubs when we got home.

Rachel was lovely, she was easy to communicate with both before and during our stay.

Her home has a nice relaxed vibe and is in a quiet neighbourhood making it the perfect place for a weekend away.

We wouldn't hesitate to house sit for Rachel again!

I had the pleasure of looking after Winston for 6 days. He’s a lovely dog, albeit, he’s quite stubborn at first. Sitters will need patience but at the same time, you’ll need to be ‘firm’ with him when taking him on walks.
He’s really a kind, gentle dog once he gets over the fact that his family has gone away.
Joanna, the host, was excellent in handover, and communication throughout was great. Their home was very clean and tidy. A lovely home with all a sitter could need. The bedroom / bathroom perfect. A great location

Sammy & Timmy were a joy to look after - very amusing and a little naughty but not out of control. Very easy to take care of them and the well-equipped home. Jessica and Jens have a lovely spacious flat in semi-rural Neckargemünd with the River Neckar very close-by. There are frequent train and bus services travelling to the historic centre of Neckargemünd Heidelberg and beyond very near to the flat. I can't add much more to what previous sitters have said. Highly recommended.

Suzanne is a wonderful person to arrange a housesit. Riley was the best and sweetest dog, a pleasure to be with. Cats and chickens were also no problem. Walkable location to lots of great music, restaurants, etc.
