Leanne and Steve have a lovely house on a 200 acre rural property in the Somerset area with only short drives to Esk or Gatton , and under an 1 hr to Toowoomba. You therefore have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing time with their pets and farm animals , sitting on the large front veranda in the sun, staring into a log fire whilst also still having time to try the many cafes and pubs in the nearby towns. Their 5 Wire Haired German Pointers , Clancy, Gypsy, Amber, Lacie , and Willa are well trained and have set routines which makes life easier. They are also up for lots of cuddles and time out with you. The pet sheep have a twice daily feed whilst the cows and Teddy the bull are quiet and can be hand fed if you wish. Their goldfish only required a daily feed. Leanne and Steve are easy going hosts and made us welcome with a pizza night and drinks with the neighbours . We arrived a day early to learn the routines , and with good written instructions, it made for a comfortable time. Their are plenty of photos and memories from our time in Buaraba and if you wish for some time out in a rural setting , and all it has to offer then if you get the opportunity to sit for Leanne and Steve , then you should go for it.
Get ready for a lot of fun with these guys! Buddy, Cali and Scottie are full of energy and will love to go out with you or play in the backyard. There's one gated park close to the house where you can take the 3 and release their lashes. I found it to be the best way to wear Buddy's energy out. The house is big and has a fantastic view to the bay area. Kelley was very kind with us letting us arrive one day before they left to travel. I would definitely sit them again!
Audrey was lovely to look after, very independant and super easy. She took her medication each morning no problem. I was very comfortable in Roberts home. Thank you for a great stay!
I really enjoyed housesitting for Penny her pets were amazing, no hassle at all 😻 Tilly was so lovable, Isis loved to talk 😸 and made sure that she was first for breakfast and although mama cass was shy she loved hanging out with the other cats from time to time. It was definitely a great way to spend my Thanksgiving holiday.
This was the perfect sit! Carly and her family were super welcoming and communicative from the beginning. And Harry and Bella were the sweetest! Great hosts, made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The house was really clean, comfortable and just a lovely place to stay. We had our own room and bathroom. The house is a 5 min walk from the underground and buses are right outside the door. We loved both cats and were excited to get back home to them everytime we went out. Harry is a very social cat and loves to cuddle on the couch and follow you around the house. Sometimes, he would even climb up to our room just to say hi. Bella was very very shy and hid most of our stay but on our very last day came out of hiding and even snuggled with us on the couch! She's really lovable, just needs a little time and patience. A highly recommendable stay, we already miss Harry and Bella!
Holly and her family were very accommodating. As a single mom, she has her hands full with two very young babies, and Pat, but she definitely knows how to make it work. Hey, Sophie is hands-down one of the easiest petsit that I’ve done so far. She is extremely gentle and sweet, and easy-going. She loves her, walks outside, and definitely likes to let the neighborhood know that Sophie is coming down the sidewalk… She’s outside here she comes 🤣lol. Highly recommend this sit to anyone coming to beautiful Colorado, and wanting to stay near the Rocky Mountains.

My cat had the pleasure of having Tracey's company for 10 days whilst we were on holiday. Tracey was fabulous with my cat and could see from the daily videos how taken he was with her kind words and loving manner towards him. The biggest compliment is the cat didn't seem that fussed to have us home. Not really sure he noticed we had left. The reassurance that the cat was being well cared for and given his daily medication in his own home was amazing. I would highly recommend Tracey for your cats needs. Tracey was absolutely fantastic looking after my two kittens 😸. She went above & beyond with the care she gave on her twice daily visits. Boarded our 12 year old Benji with Catrina for 5 days. We were not sure how he would be as he has recently lost his twin brother. We shouldn’t have worried as he was very well looked after. Definitely would recommend Catrina and would not hesitate to use Dogs at Spencerfield again

My pup crew, Bubble and Teddy, have stayed with Catrina on three different occasions now and I cannot recommend her enough! This wonder woman isn't just a dog sitter, she's a dog whisperer extraordinaire. Bubble, my high-maintenance diva, gets endless belly rubs and long walks throughout the day, while Teddy, my cuddle monster, receives expert-level snuggles that would put a professional cuddler to shame. They come back happy, healthy, and sporting suspiciously wagging tails, which tells me they've been living the good life – long walks, endless treats, and maybe even a secret stash of squeaky toys. And it's not just the dogs she spoils! Throughout the day, I always receive adorable photo and video updates! Both of my fur babies stayed with Catrina last Christmas and she also gifted them both a present! Talk about going the extra mile (or fetching the extra ball?). I honestly wouldn't dream of using anyone else when I travel. So, if you're looking for a dog sitter who goes above and beyond, beyond, and then some, do yourself (and your pup) a favor and book them at Spencerfield. I cannot rate Catrina and Dogs at Spencerfield highly enough. My little munchkins have been going over to this luxury home from home 5⭐️heaven since my oldest was around 4 or so months. The lovely wee doggies get the real ‘red carpet’ treatment, including all the walks, snacks and pupper enrichment their little hearts could desire. They also get evening sofa snuggles too! When my boys are staying with Catrina and her family, I know I can relax and really enjoy my time away. Catrina provides regular pupdates and is great at managing my eldest boy’s special dietary needs which really gives me peace of mind. Dogs at Spencerfield is truly a unique business and I would never consider boarding my fur- babies anywhere else. Dogs at Spencerfield is fully council licenced which is such an important fact, particularly nowadays when everyone and anyone seems to be ‘doing dog boarding’. Arranged for our Corgi to stay here. Had an introduction at the premises where Catrina met us and our dog, and we signed all paperwork. Agreed on a date for a trial night which was then changed by Catrina, so we changed plans to accommodate. We were then emailed by Catrina 4 days before the re-arranged trial stay, to be told our dog (who she already met) was not small enough to stay, meaning we had to again cancel our plans, at our expense.
We have recently introduced our Alaskan Malamute to Rowan Sands Pet Hotel, and he's been absolutely loving it! After having some issues with previous kennels, causing some behavioural issues it's amazing to see him be so comfortable and happy with this new environment. The owners are/have a great team working with the animals, and as James is a certified dog trainer, we are very much put to ease knowing himself and the team can handle our boy and any issues that may arise. They also offer some amazing advice and training programs if necessary so all round can't fault them at all. Keep up the awesome work guys! 👏

It was our 8 month old pups first time in kennels and we couldn’t have a picked a better place to leave him. When we first dropped him off he was quite scared as everything was new but James sent us regular updates and videos of him having a great time. When we picked him up 5 days later he didn’t want to leave! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere safe to leave their pet.

Having only rehomed our cat three weeks before our holiday, I was a bit dubious about leaving him in a cattery. I can't recommend these guys enough, they allowed us to drop him off at a later time, due to the distance we were travelling and also to visit him several times throughout our holiday. The cat pens are spacious and incredibly clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and most importantly our cat was happy when we collected him. We will definitely be checking for availability here on our next trip north.
I use these kennels with both my collies. One sadly died and we replaced him with a Bassett Hound. Riley (the Collie) came home and the first thing he went for was the water dish, and he drank for ages. When I put Riley and Freda in for a week, I told the teenagers that took our details before we left to go on holiday, I told them to remember to give Riley and Freda a lot of water, that was not a problem, The dogs got home and both hit the water bowl when they came in. Now I feel like my wishes aren't being listened to. That being said they are good kennels.
Cannot recommend this business highly enough. We have booked our dog in for both longer stays in the past and day-stays recently when we have been marketing our house. The kennels are always accommodating to our needs (have booked some stays the day before) and the biggest compliment I can give it that when we go to drop our dog off he is genuinely excited to trot off with whoever greets him.
Left our two Border Collies here for a week while we visited a medical clinic down south. Both dogs looked very happy and stress free upon our return. The whole team are very friendly and professional. No worries leaving the dogs here again.
Miriam looked after our Cavapoo puppy Max for a week. We couldn’t recommend her highly enough. We had regular updates on Max throughout the week who was well looked after and cared for. We had complete piece of mind during our holiday. Miriam was great to deal with, she also provided us with a lot of useful tips and suggestions with Max going forward. She is very knowledgeable about dog breeds in general. Brilliant service and Max will be back for his ‘pawlidays’ again soon 🐾

Honestly what a genuine lovely lady miriam is although she was fully booked on the dates I needed she went above and beyond with lots of helpful information moving forward, recommend advice she gave, the amount of time she took out her own day to talk with me reassuring me and going threw option I'm so grateful for. I would highly recommend her service based on our own chat for the last 2 hours nothing was a problem if anything I have gained knowledge/ understanding of my own wee dog this lady is hands down a lovely soul thank you Tanya x
I have been using Bespoke Home from Home Dog Boarding for many years - the first time was just after Miriam started it all! Border collie Mac was just a young dog then and he was always well cared for and given that extra special love and attention that you want for your special pet when you have to leave them. We have had 4 different carers over the years and all have been excellent. We now have two dogs, 2 border collies Mac and Midge, and whenever we leave them, we are confident that that they are in safe hands and that they will be cared for as you would care for them yourself at home. Sometimes, it is hard to tear them away and bring them home, they have had such a great time!! Thank you! :)

Bespoke Dog Boarding was highly recommended to me by my vet. I telephoned the owner of the company and we had a detailed chat about my dog and his requirements, also his daily routine. I was most impressed by the owner of the company and can tell that she clearly is very knowledgeable about dog breeds in general. I was concerned that my dog who is a loveable middle aged lab, would be home boarded alongside, for example, a "Staffie" but after reading these other reviews, I am delighted to say that dogs who some may consider as potentially dangerous breeds would not be allowed to board with Bespoke Dog Boarding. This gave me peace of mind. I then met with one of the dog carers, who fell in love with my boy straight away and vice versa. The carers home and garden was beautiful. We spend over half an hour with the carer and played with my dog in the garden. I could see how happy he would be if he were to come here for his holidays. I have now used Bespoke Dog Boarding 3 times this year already as the service is fantastic. The dogs receive 3 or 4 lengthy walks each day, loving home comforts, constant companionship and I also received updates during my holiday followed by a selection of beautiful photographs after my holiday, showing Bailey having a super time with another 2 dogs from different families. When I collected him, he didn't want to leave!!!! I have now highly recommended Bespoke Dog Boarding to all of my dog friends. I would advise others to make a booking months in advance of your holiday as they are usually fully booked 6 months to a year in advance by all their regular clients. However I have sometimes asked for a short notice booking and if they have availability they will take Bailey. To the team of dog carers who may read this, thank-you for providing me with total peace of mind and I look forward to using your service for many more years to come.
Used Miriam for my dog Bailies 14 years at least three times a year and couldn’t fault her. She dosnt take dangerous breeds which I feel is a great thing as it is only for the safety of our own dogs . I can’t beleive the below negative posts when thease people have even used the company because they didn’t make it through the strict criteria . Well done Bespoke for not taking any dog just to make more money . Fabulous service and genuine dog lovers .

We had a wonderful experience with Angela! She helped us out last minute and took our dog for the day when we went into Edinburgh. She was so friendly and kept us updated with photos of our dog. He is very attached so didn’t like being away from us, but relaxed and came back to us full of smiles. Highly recommend!

The Happy Pet Company were so lovely and efficient. We originally hired them to cat sit for our two cats for a week, but due to circumstances had to cancel a few days which they were happy to do. They updated us daily and sent pictures. Our cats can be quite fussy with who they respond to but instantly they greeted Steven which was a relief. We will certainly be using them again.

Julie took fantastic care of our dog Islay when we went on holiday, she sent us daily updates and pictures of all the activities she did with islay. She even bought her a new Kong ball when islay lost her original. She clearly has a passion for what she does and is extremely professional and capable. Would highly recommend Julia to look after your dog. She looked after our puppy for 4 weeks and will definitely be sending Lexie back to her when we go on our next holiday. She sent us regular photos and updates and kept us informed when Lexie had a mild reaction to some salmon oil. Lexie had an amazing time with her and would love to go back! 10/10.
I would highly recommend Julia to everyone who loves their dogs. Julia was looking after my dog for a couple of days and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I have been receiving regular updates about Lexi and photos from her daily activities. Knowing that Lexi was so well looked after allowed me to enjoy my time away from her. Our beagle x Luna has now stayed with Julia 3 times and I now wouldn't think of placing her anywhere else whilst we go away. Luna has been to kennels once and it was completely the wrong situation for her but now we have found Julia we no longer worry if she's OK. We have just got Luna back after a 5 night stay and she is a very happy doggy. After her stay in kennels last tear she was very different with us and had developed some bad habits. Now when she goes to Julia's she is dragging us to her door and is still the same dog upon return. This time she didn't even notice we had gone, she ran off to play immediately. Julia sends us updates everyday, letting us know she's getting the best care. Luna is treated like one of Julia's own, Luna adores her. You won't find a better place for your fur baby than with Julia.
This is the 3rd time I’ve left my Kobe with Julia. It was my first time leaving Kobe so I was very anxious. From the very start , Julia put me at ease and she took Kobe for a few sleepovers before we left him for his holiday. Julia, is absolutely fantastic, I feel totally content when I leave Kobe with Julia. It’s just home from home. She is so good to him, he gets loads of walks, attention and snuggles. Her own dogs are absolutely adorable 🥰. Julia, keeps me well updated, she sends me loads of pics and videos which I absolutely love , he always looks so happy and getting these just makes my day. I highly recommend Julia, I wouldn’t leave my Kobe with anyone else now. Thank you so so much Julia for being so kind and caring to my baby boy and looking after him so well for us! Julia has been amazing with our Nyra. She updated us everyday and was super good to our girl. You can tell she loves dogs, not only the experience she has but the love is important too. I’m so happy we’ve found someone who Nyra loves. She looks super happy in all photos and is well taken care of. Won’t go anywhere else now. Fair prices, excellent service and cares for her clients. Julia was looking after our dog for about 2 weeks and we could not be more happy with care that our dog received. We have been updated with photos and activities on a daily basis. Really recommend Julia’s service and definitely will get in touch in the future.

I was attending a wedding and needed a dog sitter (I live in Cheshire) Julia was recommended to me and she did an excellent job looking after my 10 month old pup, who can be a bit timid at times. He had an afternoon of fun and adventures. I loved getting photo updates of what he was doing. I would use Julia again if I needed her.
My pups had a great time with Julia. It was their first time away from home so I was a bit nervous but no need as Julia sent me photos and videos of them having a great time. Would definitely recommend!
Just Picked up my two happy boy's, who clearly enjoyed the wee holiday at Puddledub Kennels. The guys at the Kennels are very friendly and helpful and clearly they all love dogs as my Two Springers Albert and George were happy to be with them all. Kennels are clean and tidy and all dogs are well looked after. This was the 1st time ever leaving our dogs in Kennels and I would definitely use puddledub kennels again. Thank you sooo much to you all 😊

Our 2 kittens were very well looked after at Puddledub while we went on a weekend away. 2 happy and content wee boys. Great value for money and the staff were lovely. Will definitely use them again.
The first time we've used Puddlebub Kennels, very good impression. When we dropped him off and picked him up, there was plenty of staff around to help, all of them very friendly. He'd obviously had a good experience as he was his usual happy cheerful self when we picked him up. Will use again for sure.

Left my dog last year for a week, nice team. I'm getting back this year for sure. Good pricing and a good place, open space for dog walk and sunny (safe) spaces for the dog to stay outside.

Our Shih Tzu, Mikey, is regularly at Blairadam Kennels. For longish bookings, also the odd day here and there when we can't take him with us. Clearly, the kennels are very kind to him & he must have a great time as he's always happy to go back for another stay. Mo is a real diamond who is always prepared to help. On one occasion, we had forgotten a vet appointment, but Mo saved the day by taking Mikey herself. We highly recommend Blairadam Kennels Colin Campbell
I first met Mo a couple of months ago after I contacted her regarding my almost 4 year old GSD (Riley) who can be very challenging to introduce to new people due to stranger reactivity when approached. He has also never been kennelled before. Mo was amazing with Riley and knew exactly how to handle him. We met numerous times in bite sized chunks and built up to Mo walking Riley on the lead and petting him etc before he stayed for a few hours a couple of times and then over night prior to leaving him for 16 days (all of the initial with no charge!) Before we left I knew Riley had built a relationship with Mo and trusted her but was a bit worried he’d think we had abandoned him having never being in the kennels before and perhaps be a bit mopey and not eat as much etc… WELL I needn’t have worried one bit! When we got back Mr Riley had had the time of his life. He was happy to see us for about 30 seconds and then was pulling Mo to go into the office for his usual chicken lol! Clearly not as happy to see us as I thought he’d be :-/ Riley has built an amazing relationship with Mo and although she is his main handler and he hasn’t had as much time with the rest of the team you could tell he was even comfortable with them and was pulling me here there and everywhere to say goodbye to everyone. Our big pup came out happy and healthy and even got a goodbye present of chicken and lots of toys. Can’t thank you enough Mo and will definitely be returning Riley to this kind and animal loving lady whenever required!
Not happy about the state our dog was after staying for two days. Only stayed for two nights, cost a lot more than the usual kennels that we take her to and she came out scared of the woman, faeces all over her and needed washed as soon as we got home, she has lay in bed ever since, not getting up even for food, looking thoroughly depressed, she has never been like this after kennels before. We also left her teddy so she had her usual scents and her comfort toy and that never made it down to the kennels it stayed in the same place we left it in reception. Will never return and would urge people to think twice before putting their pets in these kennels.
Thank you mo and your staff for looking after my dogs whilst we were away on holiday. I have no worries leaving them with mo and the staff there,the dogs get very spoilt and half the time not wanting to leave! This is why I've used these kennels for years. Wouldn't go any where else. Thank you mo and your team and keep up the good work.xx

Left our furbabies with Mo & her team a few times now and, when we go back to collect them, they come out with their tails wagging and sometimes run to Mo instead of us! Mo goes out of her way to accommodate. We'll deserved 5* 👏🏼 …
Put my dog in for two weeks.....he saw our vet the week before he went in and weighed 57 kilos.....went to collect him and was horrified at his condition.....skin and bone obviously lost a lot of weight.....staff assured me he had been eating and drinking well.....took him to the vet and he lost 11 kilos in 2 weeks......when we got him home he went straight to his bowl and rattled it....we fed him and he ate ravenously.....his eating was bad as good went all over the place and he was foaming at the mouth. Vet carried out various checks and took bloods all normal. Vets conclusion, and mine, my dog had not been fed for 2 weeks. Contacted the kennels but received no reply. Now reporting them to various people for cruelty and will pursue them for kennels fees and £300 vet bill.

Barking Mad is an excellent service! I have used Barking Mad for a number of years for my dogs and I've never been disappointed. Our dogs have been very well looked after and when the van pulls up to collect them there is great excitement from them about going on holiday! Elaine and John are genuinely caring towards the dogs and we leave them feeling confident that they will be well looked after and have a great time! Thoroughly recommend.
I have been a Barking Mad Host and service user for almost 20 years. Elaine and John are the third owners I have worked with and not only are they lovely people, they are by far the most enthusiastic, committed owners of the service. Not only do they ensure dogs have a fabulous holiday in appropriate surroundings, they have developed a very caring community for the Hosts. All your lovely dogs are looked after so well in their holiday homes.
After a bad experience with dog care some years ago, I thought I would never go on holiday again – until I found Barking Mad. My pooch has some quirky habits which require particular care and attention – John and Elaine came to the house to meet him, took note of everything down to the smallest detail and found the perfect host who catered for all his needs. I went to visit my family in New Zealand and had heaps of text messages, photos and video showing my dog out on lovely walks, having lots of fun and looking totally relaxed. I have already booked my next holiday and have every confidence that with Barking Mad, my dog will receive the same care, attention and love that he gets at home. I can’t rate this organisation highly enough, they are simply the best.
I cannot recommend barking mad fife enough. When your going on holiday you want your furry friend to be looked after the same way you look after them at home. You want peace of mind and reassurance, this is exactly what Elaine and John provide. No detail is missed out and they cover absolutely everything with you in a 2 hour initial meeting before they board your dog. Our dog has joint issues which can limit some activities, this issue was 100% taken on board while our dog was in Elaine and Johns care. I think it’s important to know any health issues your dog may have will be looked after correctly. You’ll receive updates with photos when you are away- chances are your furry friend is also having a 5 star luxury holiday of their own! The service is second to none and worth every penny. I cannot rate Elaine and John highly enough.
Since we first used John and Elaine at Barking Mad to look after our Gordon Setter "Floyd" for six weeks in 2017 we would not consider placing him anywhere else. He loves going with them and has the time of his life running with the pack in the hills and swimming in the sea. While he's away we get regular pictures and videos sent so we can see how happy he is. We would have no hesitation recommending them even for long stays. Peter and Maureen.
Our last dog Trey, a ‘silver surfer’ was always looked after so well and loved his holibags with Elaine and John. He was a withdrawn guide dog who had bad arthritic legs who just loved people and we worried how he would be staying with others. We needn’t have worried as he loved every second and was always cared for to our exact needs regarding his food and medication. When we lost him our two new girls who are rescue labradors now go on holiday with them too. As I am now disabled it was a huge worry for me that if I had to do anything at short notice, who would look after my dogs? I am so lucky that Elaine and John have always gone the extra mile for me when I have needed care for the girls at very short notice sometimes so that this now is not an issue. If anyone is considering dog care I would say let your dogs go on holiday with John and Elaine. You can have total peace of mind to enjoy whatever you are doing in the knowledge that your fur babies will be having a blast with the best care possible and being treated as part of a family with all their home comforts.
This is a wonderful service, run and owned by 2 devoted dog lovers. Elaine and John are friendly, caring and very professional people, they ensure that you and your dogs safety, comfort any special needs are their main priority. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the service they provided, which allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our break/holiday away, knowing that our 'Kizzi' was safe and happy! Many thanks to you both and we will be using your service anytime we ever wish to go away, when we are unable to take Kizzi.
Excellent service provided by wonderful and devoted staff. Nothing is too much for them as in our case when our pooch has to go to the vets, as she does once a month, it is no hassle whilst we are on holiday. Her dog sitter is excellent as well and we know that the dog is being well cared for. Keep up the good work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Once again I would like to thank John and Elaine for their exceptional service and dedication they gave us recently with Flora. Also cannot thank them enough for helping us out at such short notice for my father in laws funeral. Lynne,Alan,Emma and not forgetting Nugget are wonderful hosts. Flora came back bouncy, full of life and started eating without me having to remind her. Whenever Flora sees the bag and the car draws up to fetch her she cannot contain her excitement.
